#861 - The seeds planted by the Illuminati and Yang Le

The Sportsmaster walked into a room with seven screens projecting images. After preparing himself, he pressed a button on the remote control in his hand.

In the next second, the lights in the entire room dimmed, and after a while, images appeared on the seven screens one after another, showing the seven leaders of the Light.

"What is it, Sportsmaster?" Vandal Savage asked first.

"A report on the recent situation of the Young Justice League," Sportsmaster replied.

"I received the latest intelligence from my spies."

After saying that, Sportsmaster took something out of his backpack, which was the electronic telescope Roy had used to observe the Young Justice League.

Sportsmaster connected it to a data cable, and then a screen was projected behind him, showing the footage of the Young Justice League fighting against Red Tornado.

"Their team has grown again," Queen Bee noticed Artemis and Wonder Girl at first glance.

"And one of them has quite a connection with me," Wotan said, stroking the cat in his arms, referring to Donna Troy, Wonder Girl.

In the DC Universe, chaos and order must coexist. If either side becomes too strong, there will be great chaos. Therefore, Yang Le only expelled Wotan before and did not eliminate him.

Even if Wotan were eliminated, as long as the underlying logic of the DC Universe remained unchanged, chaos would regenerate from the corners of the universe. Besides, Nabu wasn't a good bird either, and Yang Le didn't need to weaken chaos to make him stronger.

If it were anyone else, they would have been kicked out of the Light after experiencing such a failure. Ocean Master was the last failure to be kicked out.

However, Wotan's attainments in magic and his status are not something that ordinary people can replace. Therefore, after discovering that Wotan had been expelled, the Light quickly summoned him back with a ritual, which was much faster than Wotan returning on his own.

After Wotan was summoned back, he naturally explained everything he had done. Therefore, the Light had a certain understanding of Donna Troy and the unknown life form that could expel him.

However, compared to Donna, the mysterious Naltorian obviously attracted more attention from the Light. For this potential, unknown enemy, there was a high possibility that it would affect the Light's plans.

But there was no way. The Light used all its resources but could not find any information about the Naltorian, because Yang Le had only transformed into that form once, and Wotan, as the only eyewitness, was completely frozen. Therefore, they had no clues except for his appearance and unclear abilities.

Helpless, the Light could only temporarily put the Naltorian aside. They couldn't stop their plans for a single threat. Since they had no clues, it was better to leave him alone for the time being.

If the other party was really their enemy, then there would always be a day when he reappeared. The Light believed that they could afford to lose once or twice. At that time, they could learn about the other party's abilities through trial and error, and then think of countermeasures.

Those who can't afford to lose are the real losers. One or two failures don't mean anything. The real winner is the one who laughs last, and the Light wants to be the one who laughs last.

In a short while, the Light finished watching all the recordings.

Lex Luthor's eyes flickered. He was very satisfied with Superboy's current state. This weakness was not something a normal Kryptonian should have.

With Superman, the best role model, so close at hand, Superboy would probably soon fall into distress due to his lack of strength. That would be the best time for him to take advantage of the situation.

"Gentlemen, BOSSes," Sportsmaster said, taking advantage of the silence.

"Regarding that Green Arrow copycat, I feel like she might be my daughter. I think we can use her as an entry point to plant another spy."

"There are already enough spies," Ra's al Ghul rejected Sportsmaster's proposal. "Extra spies will only reveal more flaws."

"But it can make them suspicious of each other," Wotan revealed an evil smile. "Making a team that was originally close suspicious of each other is simply the most perfect drama."

"Wotan is right," Vandal Savage nodded. "An open spy can indeed bring many unexpected gains. Maybe it can even cause disputes between those kids and the Justice League."

"In that case, I'll find a chance to contact her," Sportsmaster accepted the task.

Vandal Savage thought for a moment and said again: "Not only that, in the next operation, you also need to let the Young Justice League know that there is a spy inside them. As long as you make this clear, then no matter what these kids do, they will be led by the nose by us."

"Yes," Sportsmaster nodded in response.

The room was silent for a while. After confirming that no one was speaking, Lex Luthor, who had been silent all along, stood up.

"I have a few things to say about Cadmus Labs," Lex Luthor tapped his fingers a few times, and a document was sent to the other leaders.

"This is one of the deleted pages from Cadmus Labs, and the things recorded in it are slightly different from our initial plan."

"Are you saying that the dog we raised betrayed us?" Queen Bee frowned. She hated the word betrayal.

"It's not a betrayal," Lex Luthor marked the more important parts of the document. "Obviously, the doctor wanted to give us a surprise at first, but he failed."

"Versatile Metahuman - Weapon O," Vandal Savage read the heavily marked term in the document. Based on this term, he quickly thought of a creature.

He moved his gaze and locked onto the Young Justice League recording. In the frozen frame, there was a creature that didn't look human at all, which was Yang Le's Metamorpho clone, Harpy.

"Dr. Desmond wanted to research a gene monster that could carry all superpowers, the so-called Weapon O. Unfortunately, his experiment was not successful."

Lex Luthor zoomed in on the Harpy footage, making it easier for everyone to see.

"This creature in front of you is the result of his research, a bio-weapon that has inherited six superpowers."

Lex Luthor's eyes showed a hint of desire as he looked at Harpy. He used to think that Dr. Desmond was a dispensable waste, but he didn't expect the other party to leave him such a big surprise.

Harpy's appearance shocked everyone present except Wotan. Six superpowers combined into one, they all knew what that meant.

"That's impossible," Brain's iconic electronic voice came. "It's impossible to fuse six genes from different superhumans together."

"But the facts are right in front of us," Lex Luthor said with a smile.
