#904 - Two tasks
Roy spent a few minutes explaining the whole situation.
It turned out that Roy, relying on his intelligence system, had received information that the internationally renowned Dr. Roquette had recently developed a new type of nanobot.
These nanobots are the nemesis of all modern technology. They can hack into all known computers and machines in the world. Just looking at the introduction, you can tell that once this thing is invented, it will definitely cause a bloodbath in the world.
So, this thing was not actually developed by Dr. Roquette voluntarily. He was imprisoned on an island by the assassins of the League of Assassins and forced to develop this thing.
"So, you want us to go with you to rescue Dr. Roquette?"
Facing Dick's question, Roy just shook his head.
"This matter is urgent, so I immediately set off to the target location as soon as I received the news and rescued Dr. Roquette. Because Dr. Roquette did not have authorization from the Hall of Justice, I arranged for him to stay in my own safe house."
Roy said it easily, but everyone present knew that this was not a simple matter, especially Dick, who knew the difficulty of this matter.
That was the League of Assassins, not some random third-rate organization. Even Batman had to be fully alert when facing these guys.
Dick was about to praise Roy when he heard a voice from the corridor.
"Your safe house? How come I don't know you have a safe house?"
Everyone turned their heads and saw Green Arrow walking in from the depths of the corridor with a doubtful expression. Behind him were Batman, Red Tornado, Black Canary, and Mr. Zatara, as well as an unfamiliar girl.
"You don't need to know my business so clearly." The smile disappeared from Roy's face. "Anyway, I'm not your apprentice anymore. I'm independent now."
"Okay..." Green Arrow was choked, and finally could only helplessly say. "You rescued the hostage from the League of Assassins single-handedly, which is very dangerous and very impressive."
"Thank you for the compliment." Roy still had a cold face, making it impossible to see what he was thinking.
'He's actually very happy inside.'
Green Arrow looked up in surprise at Harby, who was sitting silently beside him. The latter just nodded quietly to him, confirming that he had said this.
'Don't worry, I didn't pry into Roy's heart. I just felt the joy that was about to overflow.'
'Thank you.'
Green Arrow silently kept this matter in his heart. If it weren't for Harby's encouragement, he didn't know how long he would be lost.
"Continue, Red Arrow."
Others were unaware of this telepathic communication, so Batman stood up in real time to ease the embarrassment or simply to end the mission.
"We need to know more information."
Red Arrow cleared his throat and continued: "After I rescued Dr. Roquette, she revealed to me that the research and development of nanobots had reached the final stage. At this stage, even without her, the research and development could be completed just by relying on the information in the computer."
"However, she also knew that once this thing was developed, it would definitely cause a bloodbath in the world, not to mention that it has now fallen into the hands of the League of Assassins."
"So, Dr. Roquette left a backdoor when developing the nanobots. She designed a virus that could render all these robots useless as long as the virus was developed."
"However, the League of Assassins probably knows about this too, but they don't have a second scientist as smart as Dr. Roquette, so they will definitely come to assassinate Dr. Roquette to make these robots without loopholes."
"If you can't solve the problem, solve the person who created the problem." Dick stroked his chin. "A typical League of Assassins approach, so you want us to help you protect Dr. Roquette?"
"That's right." Roy nodded. "Dr. Roquette said that the League of Assassins implanted a tracker in her body. This tracker can only be removed by surgery. Fortunately, it only sends a signal every six hours, which gave me a chance to breathe."
"It's been four hours since the last signal was sent. It won't be long before my safe house is discovered by them. I understand that I can't protect Dr. Roquette by myself, so I came to you for help."
Batman nodded silently. He had to say that Roy's handling of this matter was already great. He did his best in that situation, and even he might not be able to do better than Roy.
"The current situation is that if Dr. Roquette undergoes surgery to remove the tracker, then there will be no time to develop the virus before the League of Assassins uses the nanobots, so Dr. Roquette can only develop the virus with the tracker."
This is equivalent to guarding a monster spawning cage that will spawn monsters in the game. Although it is a bit passive, it is indeed the best way at present.
"Let us handle this matter." Dick volunteered. "My companions and I feel that we have recovered almost completely. This mission can be used as rehabilitation."
"I have no objection." Batman said expressionlessly. "However, I came here this time to arrange a mission for you."
"But now it seems that this mission can only be left to the Justice League to solve by themselves."
The children of Young Justice looked at each other. The quick-witted Wally quickly said.
The most ⊥ new ⊥ small ⊥ said ⊥ is ⊥ at ⊥ six ⊥ 9 ⊥⊥ book ⊥⊥ bar ⊥⊥ first ⊥ hair!
"Wait a minute, give us a few minutes."
Batman and the other adults exchanged glances and agreed to the children's request. Then the children gathered together in a circle and began to discuss in a low voice.
After about five minutes, Dick, as the captain, stood up again. He raised his head and stared at the tall Batman and said.
"We want to hear the information about the other mission. We think that if the difficulty is not high, the number of Young Justice members is enough to be divided into two groups to complete two missions."
"This..." Green Arrow hesitated, but Batman spoke up.
"One of the initial founders of the Justice League's predecessor, the Justice Society, the first Doctor Fate, Kent Nelson, was recently discovered missing. The Justice League wants to entrust Young Justice to investigate this case."
This mission seems unremarkable at first glance. After all, Mr. Kent is nearly one hundred and six years old. It is not uncommon for an elderly person of this age to go missing.
However, Mr. Kent is, after all, the first Doctor Fate. His existence has long been linked to the Lords of Order. Many black magicians or more evil chaos magicians are likely to use Mr. Kent to do something based on the particularity of magic.
It is indeed necessary to guard against it.
"Is there any other information?" Dick asked.
"Traces of chaos magic were found at the scene."
This time it was not Batman who answered Dick, but a pleasant female voice.
