The days of hanging out at Hogwarts

Chapter 585: One month into the school term

Late September.

Hogsmeade Activity Week was originally scheduled for the first weekend of October, which happened to be the last day of September and the first day of October.

The weather in early autumn was cloudy and uncertain. It rained for several days in a row, and then it was cloudy for a while.

When the school started, the cicadas in the woods were buzzing all day long. Occasionally, when tossing and turning late at night, you could hear the cicadas drifting into the pillow through the window gap, disturbing the sweet dreams of many students. In just one month, all the insects disappeared, and only the chirping of birds remained in the forbidden forest.

The morning when we went to Hogsmeade Village was still sunny, and the cool breeze was circling in the courtyard.

After breakfast, the little wizards lined up in front of Professor McGonagall and the administrator Mr. Filch, checking the long list of students whose parents or guardians had signed their consent. Mrs. Norris inspected the team with her head held high, her posture was noble, and her eyes were arrogant, but unfortunately the little wizards didn't pay much attention to her.

They passed between the tall stone pillars with wild boars carved on top, turned left after leaving the school gate, and walked into the village along the flat gravel road. The cool breeze kept blowing their hair, and their bangs flickered in front of their eyes.

At nine o'clock in the morning, in the Honeydukes candy store, Hermione was standing in front of the window looking at the newly posted posters and notices, while Loren was standing next to them trying the food, with a bulging brown paper bag on his waist and a snail imitation candy in his hand.

Mr. Ambrosio Frum's new product.

The outer crispy shell is chocolate, black and white, and the design inside is more delicate. The main part of the snail meat is slightly soft milk candy, and the organs and intestines are also colored and shaped by a variety of different candies. The most surprising thing is the black intestine with a little green, coffee candy mixed with mint candy. Not only is the color ugly, but the taste is also unpalatable. It is bitter and astringent when you take a bite. It's really amazing.

After feeding Hermione a sizzling honey candy, Loren looked at the cashier of the candy store and found that this kind of snail candy was quite popular. The third-year students who came to Hogsmeade for the first time for the weekend each had a bag of it. They either wanted to trick their good friends who didn't come to the candy store to try it, or they wanted to send it home for their families to try.

In short, their purpose was not pure.

After melting the outer shell of the candy, the strange taste of the internal organs and intestines inside made Loren's eyebrows tremble. He swallowed the still squirming snail candy in one gulp, stuffed a honey candy into his mouth, and leaned over to the little witch's head to read the notice.

The main content was similar to the one in school, briefly explaining the events before and after Umbridge's attack, warning the merchants and customers of Hogsmeade to pay attention to safety in the near future, and collecting clues of suspicious persons for a long time...

Loren turned his head and glanced at the door of the Quidditch boutique next door. The boss was still the unreliable boss, squatting at the door to chat with the students and analyzing the strength of the colleges in the new season after the unified broom. The young clerk has changed, and his face is somewhat similar to his. I wonder where he is a nephew from the next generation who was kidnapped from.

Loren stuffed the brown paper bag on his waist into Hermione's arms, staggered to the door of the next store, grabbed a handful of loose nuts in his hand, and said to himself: "Sir, where is the notice on your door?"

The shop owner sucked his gums, and for the sake of being a Gryffindor, he did not put the nuts away, and pointed at the glue marks on the glass window: "Well... that is, it blocked the latest flying broom. The little guys had torn it down to only this little bit. The patrol from the Ministry of Magic will put up a new one in the evening."

"Just let them put it up like this? Don't you feel offended?"

"Isn't it offensive to conduct a large-scale search in the past two years? Isn't it offensive to have Dementors train and search sooner or later?" The shop owner curled his lips, "Just posting a notice, that's already very good!"

"..."

Loren nodded thoughtfully, and chatted with the shop owner for a while, until the nuts in his hand were finished, and the owner didn't seem to show any signs of going into the house to get them, so he waved and went back to find their Hermione.

The shop owner watched him go away with a resentful look. This guy had been chatting with him since the third grade, and now he was in the fifth grade, but he had never bought anything in the store. Instead, he packed a lot of snacks for free.

He turned around and poked his nephew who was slacking off next to him with his elbow: "Go, go to Honeydukes and get some free snacks to taste."

"Tsk tsk..."

The new clerk pulled the corner of his mouth, took off his uniform, and quietly blended into the flow of people in the next store.

Loren returned to his original position and saw Hermione still reading the Ministry of Magic notice. She was mumbling something about community management, and she didn't look very smart. Her eyes rolled around and she took back a paper bag of snacks.

"Hermione, eat candy, ah..."

Loren pinched a snail candy and handed it to her mouth.

Hermione's brain had already reacted to something wrong, but she still subconsciously opened her mouth and immediately felt a small piece of sticky and wet things sliding into her mouth, which stimulated her to punch him immediately.

"Don't do it!" Loren held her shoulders and advised seriously, "There are chocolate and milk candy outside, sweet!"

Hermione put down her fist and looked at the smile on his lips with a little surprise. There was a glimmer in her brown eyes and a thoughtful expression. Could it really be ordinary candy?

After waiting for a few seconds, the man silently stepped back one or two steps, looking at her expectantly, with an unconcealable smile on his face.

First, a cool mint flavor appeared on the taste buds, followed by a strong bitter coffee flavor——

Hermione didn't know what strange taste the aftertaste would have. She wasn't curious at all. She held her breath, took a lunge, leaned forward quickly, stretched out her hands to grab his collar, bent her arms, stretched her neck forward...

A series of smooth and coherent movements, before the man opposite could react, she passed the strange candy in his mouth to him.

...

Hogsmeade, three brooms.

Harry and Ginny stood at the door of the tavern, patting their robes, and even letting the cold wind blow for a while to make sure there was no perfume from Madam Puddifoot's Tea House left on their bodies.

The two looked at each other, and their cheeks flushed at the same time, and they avoided each other's eyes at the same time.

"..."

Harry exhaled a long breath, pushed open the door of the tavern, and entered the steaming tavern from the slightly cold autumn wind. He swept his eyes around, quickly locked on two familiar figures at the round table by the window, and walked over with Ginny behind him.

"Hmm?"

Harry stood beside the two people sitting opposite each other and saw Loren holding a butter beer and sipping silently, and Hermione, who looked proud, was stunned for a moment: "What's wrong with you?"

"He ate a strange candy that tasted like snail shit." Hermione answered calmly without changing her expression.

"Snail shit taste..."

Harry was silent for a moment, "Are all strange candies so strange now?"

"Don't talk about this, sit down quickly, when will Ron come?"

"I don't know, we separated a long time ago..."

"Okay."

Harry got up and went to the bar to get a drink.

Hermione pulled Ginny to talk to girls in private, although her voice was very soft, but Loren had sharp hearing.

"Did you go to Mrs. Puddifoot's teahouse? Did he kiss you?"

"Oh... Hermione..."
