The Emperor’s Angel of Death
#3187 - Efficient Killing
After cursing his bodyguards, the blue-faced boss scanned the stripped corpses of the Adeptus Ministorum and priests around him. Then, he looked up at the screens surrounding the massive control panel, which displayed the situation in the energy center's main corridors. He could see many Orks wandering around, scavenging, or fighting.
Even in the face of impending doom, they still possessed a unique sense of relaxation.
"If we're pushed too hard, we'll just smash it into that damn planet!"
"Huh?"
Upon hearing this, the bodyguard hurriedly covered his face and ran over.
"Boss, is that 'smash' the smash I'm thinking of?"
"If you ask another one of those grot-brained questions, I'll send you to be target practice for those tin-can big boys!"
"Won't we die then? It looks pretty high up... Boss, you know I have a fear of heights."
"You grot-brained—"
The blue-faced boss was about to hit him but suddenly froze. The bodyguard, realizing he wasn't hit, immediately jumped back and cautiously asked:
"What's wrong?"
The boss didn't answer, just stared blankly at the screen, so the bodyguard turned his head as well.
On the upper right screen, a group of Orks were roaring and shooting, sparks flying everywhere, but then something that looked like a cabinet flew over and knocked them all away. Immediately after, an Ork flew out from the edge of the corner, the image freezing on its terrified face.
Then, on the next screen, Orks were waving axes, as if charging at something. In less than three seconds, their limbs and heads exploded like fireworks, a piece of intestine hanging right on the lens, obscuring the entire screen.
By the time he looked at the third screen, there was nothing left, only Ork corpses hanging on the railings, in the trash cans, on the ceiling, or upside down on the floor.
On the fourth screen, a group of chattering grots activated three roaring Killa Kans. They waved their spinning chainsaws and drills, wobbling forward, until he saw a metal-clad hand extend from the edge of the screen. With just one finger, it pierced the head of one of the Killa Kans and the grot inside. Then, it grabbed the spinning saw, crushed it directly, and shoved a piece of it back into the Killa Kan. The last one was kicked away, flying far, far away, like a real aluminum can, smashing against the wall and denting into a crumpled mess amidst sparks.
The Orks in the control room stared at the screens, switching from one to the next, as if trying to see exactly what it was.
Until the last screen, when the huge Squiggoth was stomped like a balloon, they finally saw it clearly—
"A super-duper big guy!"
Bang!
The control room door slammed open with a loud noise, startling the Orks inside, who trembled. Then, they turned their stiff necks and looked at the door in unison. A pit nearly a meter deep appeared on the door.
Finally, they realized that the God of Slaughter was already outside the door.
"Boss, wh-what do we do?"
The blue-faced boss tremblingly pulled out his boss's 'klikka' from his waist, swallowing hard.
"It's, it's okay, it's just a small-fry tin-can. There's so many of us... we'll just... stomp it to death... Listen to my orders in a bit."
With a bang, the door was breached, and two huge hands reached in, grabbing the shattered edges and slowly pulling them apart to the left and right.
"Aiya! I'm so scared!"
The bodyguard screamed, startling the blue-faced boss, whose hand shook, almost dropping his gun. Fortunately, he caught it in mid-air, while his bodyguard had already hugged him.
A cold face peered in from the crack in the torn door, followed by a teasing smile.
"Attack!"
The blue-faced boss immediately wanted to shoot at that face but realized he had grabbed the barrel of the gun in his panic, so he quickly turned it around again.
By this time, the nearly one-meter-thick alloy door had already been torn open amidst a horrifying creaking sound. Barehanded, Sotha Null directly threw the metal debris in his hands forward. Instantly, two huge metal fragments flew over like cannonballs. The screaming blue-faced boss was held down by his bodyguard, and then the whistling wind blew away his brain, revealing his bald head while creating a miserable scream.
"Wh-what..."
The boss turned his head and saw that the metal debris had been directly embedded into the wall by terrifying force, and some unfortunate souls' remains were also夹 in it. The ground was a pile of incomplete corpses.
Da-da-da—
The surviving Orks immediately opened fire, various calibers of guns and cannons roaring to form a metal storm, but the giant walked in leisurely, as if facing a drizzle. The bullets hit his armor and face as if hitting the hardest object, shattering one after another. He even suddenly bit a bullet that was shot at him, and then spat it on the ground.
Only when the Orks had run out of bullets and stood there stunned did Sotha Null smile slightly.
He walked up to a retreating Ork, and as the Ork frantically chopped at his armor with a cleaver, he reached out and grabbed the Ork's huge head, exerting a little force. The headless body fell to the ground.
The second one, grabbed horizontally, and torn in half with a light pull.
As if handling small pets in a cage, Sotha Null crushed them one after another in ways the Orks couldn't imagine. Some tried to run, but he only needed a small piece of debris to flick it out from his fingertips like a bullet, piercing their bodies.
When the bodyguard's head landed in front of him, the blue-faced boss had already shrunk into the corner, holding an empty pistol in his hand.
Then, a shadow loomed over his head, and under the blinding lights, he could only see a pair of fiery eyes.
Suddenly, the boss gritted his teeth.
"You grot, go to hell!"
He directly took out two bombs from behind his waist and slammed them together in his hand—
But the other party's fist landed on him before the explosion, hammering the bombs directly into his body. Then, with a bang, the flames evaporated the blood and flesh in the sky.
Two seconds later, unharmed, Sotha Null straightened up and gently knocked on the blast door that had almost been cut open.
"It's alright, the Orks have been eliminated."
Hearing the High Gothic, the door finally opened slowly, and a dozen Adeptus Mechanicus, holding weapons, looked at Sotha Null tremblingly, who just smiled gently.
"I accidentally caused some damage, I'll have to trouble you to clean up here."
With that, he turned and left.
After he left, the priests carefully walked out of the reactor compartment. When they saw the tragic state of the control room, the torn blast door, and the two pieces of debris, each the size of a person, embedded in the alloy wall, they all exclaimed in surprise.
"Wow, what happened here?"
"These beastly xenos died so strangely, there don't seem to be any gunshot wounds? All dismemberment and tearing wounds."
"Was that a Space Marine? How could he be so huge and magnificent!"
"Wait, I didn't see anyone else, did he do all of this alone?"
