The Evil God of Hogwarts
Chapter 191 Sniper
"You can try." Edwin glanced around the people in the supermarket coldly. Wherever he looked, the Muggles all shut their mouths obediently.
She continued: "There is no time. If you want to save the child, you'd better make a decision quickly."
The cashier shrugged, "Okay, I believe you, what do you want me to do?"
"Rush to the child, bring her back, and leave the rest to me." Edwin waved his wand, and a white light appeared on the cashier's body, followed closely by another green light. She felt that her body suddenly became much lighter, "Wow, I haven't felt so relaxed since I got married."
"Go." Edwin signaled, "Don't be afraid, I'll take care of everything."
"God bless me." The cashier crossed herself.
Many of these weapon-wielding Muggles are using special bullets, bullets containing the ashes of saints that can eliminate magic.
Edwin is not sure whether this sniper also has such bullets, but judging from the current situation, it probably won't. After all, it would be too wasteful to use that kind of bullets to kill Muggles.
The cashier opened the supermarket door and rushed out. Everyone in the supermarket was sweating for her. Her speed was very fast, which was completely inconsistent with her fat body.
The bullet arrived as expected, but failed to penetrate the defensive magic. Based on the previous shot at the child's feet, combined with the current shot, Edwin roughly confirmed the sniper's location.
Although the Light Walking Charm sped up the cashier's speed, she wasn't running fast enough.
Edwin continued to wave his wand, and a stone wall appeared next to the girl. The girl was so frightened that she sat down on the ground.
The bullet struck the stone wall, leaving a crater in it.
The cashier finally arrived. Without saying a word, she picked up the panicked girl, protected her in her arms, and ran towards the supermarket with all her strength.
Her speed has slowed down a lot. After all, running at high speed consumes a lot of energy. For a person of her stature, being able to persist until now is beyond expectations.
"God bless, God bless. I'm crazy to do this," the cashier kept repeating.
Others in the supermarket were horrified when they saw it, and someone shouted: "If she dies, add another magic spell to her."
"Shut up and stop giving orders."
"Damn it, she can't come back. Hey, wizard, don't you see? Come on, cast the spell."
The crowd started to get rowdy.
Edwin was so focused that he didn't pay attention to those voices at all. The defensive spell on the cashier was still there, and the bullets were not enough to penetrate it.
She had been calculating the time between the two gunshots, as well as her remaining magic power. During her time in the mayor's office, she spent too much magic on creating the old seal.
In addition, the Apparition went wrong, and she had to use her magic power again to stabilize herself so that she would not appear separated.
Therefore, she has very little magic power left, so she must use it sparingly, and every step must be taken according to plan.
The intervals between shots were longer this time, and Edwin frowned, waving her wand to impose a shield-shaped wall of fog around the cashier.
After a while, gunfire rang out again, and the bullet penetrated the fog and grazed the cashier's back, leaving a trail of blood.
"Damn it, my back." The cashier whined, and his pace involuntarily sped up.
She was almost at the supermarket. Someone excitedly wanted to rush out of the supermarket to pick up the child, but was stopped by some sensible people.
"Lord, bless them." Some people in the crowd began to kneel down and pray.
The bullet broke the defensive spell, which meant that the opponent changed bullets, so the interval between shots was so long.
Time is not enough, she still needs to block a shot before the cashier reaches the supermarket alive.
But she no longer has the magic to cast magic that can block exorcism bullets, and her plan is not as perfect as she imagined.
The cashier was so slow, I couldn't blame her, Idwin forgot to take the child into consideration.
Running with a child in your arms and running with nothing are completely different concepts. Besides, she didn't expect the opponent to shoot so fast. Now, we can only hope that the wall of fog can interfere with the sniper.
However, the expected gunshots did not ring out. The cashier and the child successfully escaped into the supermarket, and the crowd burst into cheers.
Many people came forward to help. The cashier collapsed on the ground and gasped for air.
Edwin also sat down on the ground, her back leaning against the cashier, her face was horribly pale, and cold sweat was dripping down her forehead.
"Damn, I still have to go to the town hospital," she muttered drowsily.
At this moment, a wizard wearing a hooded robe appeared at the door, and the Muggles in the supermarket became nervous.
"What's going on?" The cashier got up from the ground at once.
The wizard pushed open the door and walked into the supermarket. He said in an extremely hoarse voice: "Those who want to leave can do so. I have killed the snipers outside."
No one dared to move. The wizard ignored these Muggles and turned to look at Edwin.
The female scholar raised her head with difficulty and looked at the visitor. The wizard took out a bottle of potion from his arms.
"Hey, stay away from her, asshole!" the cashier yelled.
"Yes, stay away from her." Someone shouted.
Many people came forward, holding various self-defense weapons in their hands. Although their faces were a little frightened, their eyes were particularly determined.
The hooded wizard raised his hands in a friendly manner. He opened the potion, took a sip and replied, "This potion can cure her."
"Give it to me." Edwin stretched out his hand and took the bottle of potion.
"Hey~, sisters, be careful..."
Before the black cashier finished speaking, the wizard threw another bottle of potion to her.
"Apply it to your wounds, Tessa."
"What the hell? You know my name?"
The hooded wizard glanced at the people around him, "I know most of you. After all, I was once a member of the town."
He said the last sentence very softly, but it did not escape Edwin's ears.
"Ah, I'm not going to use something weird from a masked wizard," the cashier said.
Edwin drank the potion, and her magic power recovered a little, and she felt much better.
"Use it, Tessa, there's nothing wrong with the potion." She stood up and said, "Who are you?"
The hooded wizard turned and walked towards the door, "Let's talk somewhere else. There are too many people here."
Edwin glanced at the group of Muggles, seeming hesitant.
"Don't worry, I have sent people here, they will be rescued." The hoarse voice said.
"I hope what you said is true." Edwin followed the wizard out of the supermarket.
"There are no bullets fired at you." The wizard stopped and said, "Can you believe me now?"
"It depends on what you're going to say next."
"Haha, I have been observing you for a long time, and I know that you are suspicious by nature. However, I am here to keep an appointment."
"Going to an appointment?"
The hooded wizard walked forward, "Yes, some of you have always wanted to talk to me, and now, the time has come."
