Chapter 1286: Eerily Beautiful(5)

Kernel became interested in other stores' products after seeing the skills he bought. He then asked Aakesh about Panagea.

Upon learning that the spots had already been filled for the day and he would need to return the next day to enter Panagea, he turned his attention to another product, and that was the beasts.

"Store owner, are even the top races of beasts available for summoning…"

Kernel asked many questions related to the Beast Summoner Device. Similar to the last time, his questions were neverending.

But as everything had its end, his questions also stopped. Kernel then thanked Aakesh and walked toward the beast room, as pointed out by Aakesh.

When Kernel entered the room, he was greeted by the numerous murals of different beasts painted across the walls around the room. Lazarus was a powerful race, so their knowledge regarding the races and other things wasn't shallow.

Being from the strongest family in the race, Kernel also learned many things about the Sacred Dimension and the Multiverse. Despite that, he failed to recognize the majority of the beasts on the wall.

There were two pillars in the room, so he could summon two beasts. Kernel had no interest in a beast below the Supreme God level, so he decided to focus only on the second pillar.

There were already three customers ahead of the pillar, so he joined the queue and waited for his turn. After a few minutes of waiting, Kernel finally reached the device.

He had some beasts in his mind, so hoping for one of them to be summoned, he pressed the button.

The next moment, the square light began to rotate and kept doing so for five seconds. When it stopped, a beast familiar to Kernel appeared on the screen.

Unfortunately for him, the beast wasn't on his list. But not to be smallminded, he still focused on the card that flew to his hands not long after the summoning. It was a legendary quality beast.

After reading the content on the card, Kernel wasn't impressed by the beast. So he went forward and placed the card in the return compartment.

He then returned to the device and pressed the switch again.

The next moment, '1' appeared on top of the screen while the familiar scene of rotation played out. Five seconds passed in the blink of an eye, and a beast appeared on the screen.

It was a familiar beast, but similar to last time, it wasn't on his list. Instead of feeling disappointed, a hint of excitement appeared in Kernel's eyes after seeing that beast.

He couldn't wait to get the card and read the content on it. Even though the wait between the summoning and card emergence was equal to nothing, Kernel still found it to be tiresome.

The card finally emerged out of thin air and flew into his hands. He immediately focused on the content.

[A/N: It is my second favorite beast I have created for the story. Comment with your rankings for the beast that had appeared in the story till this point.]

As he read the name of the beast and found it to be the same as what he knew, he breathed a sigh of relief, and his excitement was through the charts.

The upper half of the card contained the beast's illustration. The Abyssal Butterfly was a majestically stunning creature. As its name and elements suggested, it was a beast of darkness. It wasn't a small creature like the majority of the butterfly species. It was a mid-sized creature, with its body size varying from 10 cm to tens of thousands of miles.

Its body was composed of wisps of shadow and mist. Its wings had intricate patterns that seemed to ripple with a stunning shine, shifting between shades of deep black and shimmering silver. From its wingtips, spectral tendrils were extending, following like ghostly wisps that evoked a sense of eerie grace. Its deep black eyes glowed with an otherworldly radiance, appearing as pools of inky darkness, reflecting the depth of the cosmos and the mysteries of the afterlife.

The Abyssal Butterfly was an eerily beautiful creature, evoking fear and love at the same time.

Kernel became more and more excited as he read the details on the card. Even though the beast was only of Divine quality, Kernel found it to be more to his liking than even an ultimate quality beast, even if that was on the list of beasts in his mind.

The characteristic [Eternal Shadow] alone was worth more than anything. It was an exclusive skill of the Royal Abyssal Butterfly, and only two of them exist in the Multiverse. The third would be by Kernel's side if he were to win the taming battle.
