There is no doubt about it.

This is the Grim Reaper who had asked the Foundation for help.

Calvin took a deep breath and calmed down.

“If you don’t mind, I’d like to know your contract, what are the terms?~”

“What did you promise?”

Then, somewhere inside the body, something began to growl.

“Well, it’s okay to humor a dying person.”

“The contract allowed thirteen people to escape the hands of fate”

“Eternal Life”

“They already have the Fountain of Youth, why do they need you?”

Calvin raised his eyebrows.

“The spring has dried up. The rotten voice laughed again:”Even then, it could not save them from me, but could only keep me a few arms away.”

“As they started dying, Number One came to me for a trade, and I offered to trade a seat at the table.”

“A simple negotiation.”

Calvin walked behind the body, his eyes tracing the sigils on the surrounding walls.

“And as part of the contract, they gave you this person?”

“Give you his life?”

“No. His life must be saved as part of the contract.”

“They gave me his body.”

“He is forever on the brink of death; his mind is endowed with the solemn ecstasy of half-death.”

Calvin tilted his head:”He is not dead yet?”

The corpse laughed.”No.”

Calvin took the vial from his pocket and pulled out the cork.

“”Good. Take a drink, you old bastard.”

He reached for the corpse from behind, grabbed the chain, and forced the corpse’s mouth open.

With his other hand, he poured the contents of the vial down his throat, being careful not to waste a drop.

When the bottle was empty, he let go of the corpse’s face and walked over to it.

“What is this?”Its voice hissed.”Where did you get it? How come….?!”

In the next second, the change was immediate.

Color returned to the corpse’s face, and blood rushed through its body.

Pink tissue filled the wrinkled gaps in the skin. Glowing white balls bulged in its eye sockets.

The gaunt torso twitched, then expanded.

The corpse jumped forward, gasping for a held breath.

A violent, painful cough forced years of accumulated dust from its lungs.

Its arms dropped to grasp the chair.

In just a minute, the corpse was transformed back into a naked man.

Something dark and silver began to seep from the man’s eyes, nose, and mouth.

Like smoke but thicker.

It gathered in a shimmering cloud in the air above the man.

His eyes turned to the shape, crying out like a frightened animal.

“No! Don’t leave me! Don’t leave me!”

The next second,

Calvin pointed his gun at the man and pulled the trigger.

“”Bang!” One bullet pierced his temple, and another lodged in his heart.

O5-13 breathed his last and died.

His head drooped back, still staring at the darkness above.

Calvin grabbed the edge of the metal chair and dragged it to the altar.

With a strong push of his foot, he pushed the chair and the person on it into the abyss below.

The chains snapped briefly; then they disappeared.

At this moment.

Calvin felt the presence again.

When he looked back, he found a silver woman clad in darkness standing beside him.

She stared into the abyss with such sorrow.

“Thirteen’s living body,” said the Grim Reaper.”The contract is invalid.”

Calvin swallowed and asked carefully

“When a deadly threat finds them, will you show no mercy to the remaining twelve?”

“I won’t.” Death didn’t take his eyes off the abyss.”They can die.”

Calvin sighed.”Okay. That’s enough.”

He turned and took a step towards the elevator.

Something made him stop.

He looked back at the pale figure and tried to ask the question he wanted to ask

“Why didn’t you stop me? You have the right and the power to do it.”

“Why are you standing there doing nothing?”

Finally, Death turned around and looked at him.

At this moment, Calvin felt an overwhelming loneliness washing over him.

“There’s something festering in the heart of the O5 Council, something that won’t die”

“I thought I could find it and let it die, but I can’t”

“There are some things in the world that even I cannot touch.”

She turned back and looked into the abyss:”Maybe you will do better, maybe not.”

The words of the God of Death made all the heavens and the world swallow their saliva.

What kind of monster is it that even the God of Death cannot do anything about?

Many people had doubts and speculations in their hearts, but the picture did not stop and continued to play.

After witnessing the end of these two O5 council members, the other people in the universe fell silent.

At this moment, the picture on the light screen is still playing.

The thick morning mist spreads among the trees.

The forest is covered with amber-gold light.

The whispering chorus of insects surrounds the two, as if condemning their unauthorized intrusion.

Calvin walked to his destination.

There are two saplings standing side by side. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and stretched his hand between the trees.

His hand disappeared from his wrist.

Ivanov next to him had eyes as big as teacups.

Calvin pulled his hand back and said. (To read the violent novel, go to Feilu Novel Network!)

“It’s a passage between worlds, a frayed and untied string.” Calvin faced the sapling and reached out again.”To get through, you need the right door handle.”

Ivanov walked towards Calvin, staring into the space where his arm disappeared.”A-what?”

“Something that can open a Way”

“Sometimes it’s a matter of time, or something you carry with you; other times it’s a ritual, a word, an idea. Here’s a piece of knowledge that’s important to you.” Calvin looked back at Ivanov.”You’ll forget it as you squeeze through.”

“Well…”

“Think of some fragments of information that you like to know but don’t need to know.”

After saying that, Calvin turned and walked away. He disappeared.

Ivanov exhaled, closed his eyes and walked away.

In an instant!

All of this hit him at the same time: space and matter became as elastic as taffy.

The woods were pulled apart; the air rushed to greet him.

It was like he was accelerating through a tunnel with a broken neck – a tunnel of sound and light, extending to eternity.

The world roared around him.

He tried to speak, tried to shout, tried to call out.

But every sound he made was wiped from his lips and swirled into the void behind him.

The cold and distant stars were watching from above and below.

Then, the universe was like a rubber band being loosened, and everything was bounced back into space.

At this moment.

Many people in the heavens and the worlds were pale.

Because they also felt the same sense of oppression…This is the first time I’ve encountered this situation.[]

Below, there is an introduction to the Exiled Library.

【The Library is a place that exists independently of normal space and contains nearly every book ever written, as well as a large number of books that have never been written.】

【There are portals to libraries all over the world, and in other worlds as well.]

【When you reach the top of the bookshelf, you will see more bookshelves, stretching out beyond your sight.】

【The library has walls, it is not infinite, but it is still much larger than any man-made structure.】

【Since the beginning of the library】

【At least as far as anyone knows, it has always been used to collect and provide books and information. Everyone is welcome to come to the library to check out books or other materials】

【There are many library works that remain mysterious to visitors.】

【A portion of it, called the archive, is only accessible to certain people.】

【Others are usually only accessible to librarians.

The scene continued.

Ivanov fell forward, landing on his hands and chest.

“All right? I told you, it’s exciting.” Calvin reached out and helped Ivanov up.

They were in a large office space, lit by dozens of long, narrow light bulbs.

Dozens of refrigerator-sized mainframes hummed quietly on the walls of the room.

Ivanov didn’t recognize the model, but if he had to bet on a guess, he would bet it was something from the mid-80s, one of those things that uses record-sized platters as hard drives.

There were several tables with huge monochrome screens arranged around them.

Halls stretched out from the room in all directions, leading to other rooms.

At a glance, they were all configured similarly. The corridors stretched out as far as they could see, or until some device blocked their view.

“What is this place?”

Ivanov walked over to one of the mainframes and examined it carefully.

Each machine had a sleek logo: a snake with emerald green eyes and a silver crown.

“That may be true.” Calvin frowned and looked back at Ivanov:”This is part of the library. The Foundation uses it to archive all the works of the previous worlds. Art, literature, music”

“Before?” Ivanov was a little surprised.

“Yes. We need to find a librarian.” Calvin nodded.”This place is infinite; get lost here and you’ll starve until you find another soul.”

“They are part of the library and they know where everything is.”

“I’m here.”Suddenly, a voice came from behind them.

They turned around subconsciously.

They saw a creature standing taller than them; tall and thin, wearing a shining silver robe.

Its hood was pulled down to cover its face, hiding its features, but Ivanov could still recognize a piece of its skin: pale, with a faint emerald green sheen, and a rough, scaly texture.

“We are looking for Foundation O-10, Archivist The Archivist.”

Calvin took a deep breath and asked

“She’s no longer here,” the librarian told them

“Where is she?” Calvin frowned.

“She broke the contract with the giant snake and got her hands on forbidden knowledge.”

“She had written herself into a story she didn’t belong to. As for where she is, if you’re looking for her,” the Librarian said,”I’ll take you to her: down there.”

And they began to descend.

Long steps led to planes of endless bookshelves, galleries filled with horrible and bizarre works, narrow corridors filled with the sound of tinkling music.

Every door they passed was a world of knowledge, and they kept going down.

Ivanov found the flow of time strange here.

He couldn’t tell how long they had been going forward, or how long they had been here.

When he tried to look up, he realized that he could no longer see the top of the library, and yet they were still going down.

After what seemed like a lifetime, the stairs came to an end.

Their feet hit stone again, and the steps behind them disappeared into shadow.

The darkness was thick; even the Librarian’s torch seemed dimmer, giving off less light. They walked for a while in this dark space/ through a huge cavern.

Rows of huge stone columns stretched upward into the darkness above.

“Here is the foundation of the library,” the librarian said,”these pillars were forgotten by the giant serpent itself in eternity before time, and all knowledge rests on them.”

Ivanov gasped,”was this built by a snake?”

The librarian looked at him strangely,”the giant serpent is called the giant serpent in your world because it appears like this outside these halls.”

“Here, and in the endless darkness below, the giant snake has many forms.”
