In the slums of Chernobog, there is a daily scene of petty fighting – burning, looting, burning corpses in the streets, these are the daily routines there. In that desperate environment, the peace and joy of living every day seems unsociable... In short, the continuous riots eventually caused some of the infected to flee the city, and someone had to go and see what was going on.

So I was commissioned by Kelsey to investigate an outward part of Chernobog, with Amiya.

Actually, I was going to send Meteorite and Frost Leaf at first, but these two guys were still helping me rub gold bars in the infrastructure at this time, so I had to take command and go on the expedition.

"Doctor, Amiya's physical condition is not optimistic... Please try not to get her involved in the fight" Kelsey called me over with a solemn look on his face before leaving. Looking at her serious appearance, I couldn't help but get nervous. It was the first time I had heard the word "please" from her, and the first time I hadn't felt hostility towards me from her.

"Even if something happens, please check the ring on her hand afterwards..."The deep, cold-blooded green eyes showed a rare hint of worry, and she stared straight at me, as if waiting for my reply.

"Oh, then beg me" I almost blurted out, perhaps because of my usual grudges.

“...... Please" She only hesitated for a moment, then she really lowered her head, and I suddenly felt a pang of guilt.

Even outside the city, most of the buildings here look like they have been battered by war, and as far as the eye can see, you can't even see a slightly intact one. The streets were littered with broken rubble and smashed glass, and there seemed to be puddles of blood around the corners that had not yet solidified...

The gloomy sky could not let in a single light, and the dark clouds were so low that they were about to touch the roof.

The streets were as cold as ice cellars, and in some places there was even hoarfrost, and the icy air was mixed with a thick smell of blood, and the cold wind blowing in front of me blew up gusts of dust.

"Okay, it's cold," I couldn't help but shudder, "

yes... The temperature was abnormally low, and there were no people on the street. Amiya exhaled a breath of hot air, and in an instant, it turned into white ice crystals and dissipated into the air.

With such proximity to the desert, the weather is clearly unusual.

The silence was terrible, not even the sound of birds could be heard, and the traces of people's lives seemed to have been rudely erased.

In the distance, a few scattered figures could be seen in the fog.

Amiya and I crept cautiously against the shadow of the house, moving closer to them.

It was a group of heavily armed integrated soldiers.

A white coat, an improvised tactical vest, a white mask, and a rusty machete in his hand.

Their faces are covered by masks, and they can't see their expressions, but it can be judged that none of them seem to be normal, and everyone is shaky, giving people the feeling that they can't stand on their feet.

And in the middle of the crowd is...

A young man with a delicate face and white hair.

He looked about the same age as Amiya, with white hair and green eyes, a white suit similar to that of an ancient nobleman, and white shorts on the bottom, and even that face was pale and terrible, with a terrible morbid smile.

Beside him stood a blue-haired boy about his age, dressed in a black raincoat, carrying a huge, strangely shaped bow and crossbow in his hand, with a battle-hardened indifferent expression on his face.

They seemed to be talking about something, the white boy always seemed excited, laughing as if the corners of his mouth were about to tear, and the other boy stood aside unmoved, but the white boy seemed to be happy.

"There's a bad worm coming in," his voice trembled with excitement, "the show is about to begin" He jerked his head away, casting a mad look at us in the shadows.
