Meixu was completely stunned. Looking at her fingers, she moved her gaze back to him to ask, "What's the ring for?"

"Let's see... I put it on the right finger, so this is an engagement ring. Let's get married when you are ready." Shi Qiao said with a big smile.

There was a long silence between them that almost caused Shi Qiao to think that he made the worst move in his entire existence.

He was almost about to apologize for his actions when Meixu withdrew her hand and said while gazing at the ring intently.

"I like the ring, it's simple and pretty, you really do know my taste. But is the way to propose to me? Haven't you seen how other men propose, or are you playing with me?" Meixu asked.

Shi Qiao sighed in relief within himself. He was happy that she wasn't angry. "Those are other men. I am different from them."

"You must be really proud of yourself," Meixu said, still admiring the ring.

"Why not?" Shi Qiao said as he seemed more relaxed than ever.

Finally, Meixu looked away from the ring and fixed her gaze on him. "How about we get married as soon as possible?"

"As soon as possible, are we in a hurry? You know, you told me you had a series to start filming soon, and it would take a few months." Shi Qiao reminded her.

If she wanted then to get married very soon, how was that going to be possible with her filming project? It's not like she would request 2 weeks off to plan her wedding, get married, and go for a honeymoon...

Meixu smiled brilliantly and replied, "That's not going to be a problem. We can have the wedding as soon as possible before the filming starts. I would take some time off before I join them in filming. Let's have our wedding as soon as possible."

Suddenly, Meixu couldn't wait to get married. She has known Shi Qiao longer than the time they have dated, and she was sure he would make a good husband as long as he stayed true to her.

There was no need to explore everything while they are still dating. A few months of dating was enough, and they would finish the rest of their fun in marriage.

"But there is going to be a problem with getting a wedding planner, and booking a venue. We need to make a project and decide the number of guests. We also need time to get your wedding gown handmade. Also, we need to get the best team for our wedding. Surely, you wouldn't want our wedding to seem rushed right?" Shi Qiao said as he tried to reason with her.

He didn't want their wedding rushed although it wasn't going to be a problem on his part. He didn't want her to regret them having a rushed wedding later in the future.

After he made her see things differently, Meixu agreed to slow down.

"I don't think I'm going to regret this, but what you said made sense, so let's slow down a bit, but the longest I can wait is may. We are in March now, and a wedding in May wouldn't be bad, and besides, I love that month. So, let's get married in May."

Shi Qiao smiled and nodded in agreement with her month of choice. "May is a good month, let's get married in May. But are you sure it's okay to take a break in-between shooting?"

Shi Qiao was still worried about that and had to ask again.

"It's normal. 2 weeks break is not that long, but before then, I will speak to the director to shoot most of my scenes because I would be taking a break soon." Meixu replied after a thought.

Her request most definitely wouldn't be rejected because of the reason behind the 2 weeks break she would want to take.

Since there was nothing wrong with it, and she was okay with it, Shi Qiao didn't worry anymore.

After chatting a bit about their dream wedding, they concluded their conversation by deciding to tell their families about their wedding in May, and then the next step would be to employ a wedding planner and book a good venue.

Meixu was really different from FangSu. FangSu still wanted to take things gradually. She wanted a wedding in the last quarter of the year, and she was making big plans for it, so it needed time for every arrangement to settle.

As for Meixu, she didn't need a big wedding. She wanted something simple, yet, extraordinary. She didn't want to make a big fuss about it, so the reason only their families and closest friends will attend her wedding with Shi Qiao.

That evening, Shi Qiao took Meixu back to her penthouse and didn't leave until her assistant came over. Before leaving, he didn't forget to peck his fiancee's forehead and wished her a good night.

The next day, Meixu and Shi Qiao spent long hours having a conversation on phone. And at last, when it ended, Meixu freshened up and got ready to leave for the Fu Villa.

She was going to make her marriage announcement during dinner first, then a few days later, Shi Qiao would come over to make his intentions known officially.

At the Fu Mansion, Jia Li was currently enjoying a belly massage from Fu Hua.

Fu Hua had told her it was better to start the olive oil massage earlier during her first semester to prevent stretch marks there, and so this evening, he ordered her to sit on the bed and raise her shirt.

Seeing the oil in his hand, Jia Li didn't ask what his intentions were, because it was already clear to her.

"We have to make you look very beautiful during this period. I have to take better care of you this time around." Fu Hua said while rubbing the oil al overhear stomach.

It wasn't like he didn't take care of her in her first pregnancy, the case was different. He did his best back then with the knowledge he had.

This time around, his knowledge has improved, and that will enable him to take better care of her.
