After being exposed, FangSu shut vermouth, but only after a while. She couldn't seem to stop herself from being interested in her cousin's wedding plans.

"If you need my wedding vendors to help you, you can take them since my wedding isn't happening now."

"No, thank you, I can set up my own team," Meixu said and picked up her chopsticks to eat.

Fu ChuHua who had a dissatisfied gaze said to her, or more like tried to talk her out of rushing her wedding plans.

"Meixu, you know you can actually move up your wedding date. You can learn from FangSu. You have to take your time with your plans and your decision because it is a lifelong one."

"Really?" Meixu scoffed. "Isn't the reason you want me to postpone my wedding because you want me to have enough time to break up with Shi Qiao. The last time I learned, you got married to Dad less than 6 months after meeting each other."

"What has the relationship between the dad and I got to do with yours?" Fu ChuHua asked with an ugly expression on her face.

She didn't know where she was pointing, but it felt to her that she was reminding her of her age, and the sole reason she quickly got married to a man 3 years younger than her.

That has been her sour spot, so each time that kind of sentence was mentioned, she usually flared up.

Grandfather Fu dropped his cutlery in anger, and that made an alerting noise. But that did make Fu ChuHua come to her senses. When she met the old man's angry gaze, she looked away in fright. She was terrified of being scolded.

"Now you can stop talking right?" Fu Geming asked with an annoyed gaze.

As for Meixu, she smiled to herself as she could eat peacefully without anyone trying to annoy her with their words.

After dinner, Grandfather Fu spoke to the entire family, with his main focus directed at YingPei and Ling.

"I know that you two lied to me during my birthday, but I let that be because you at least made some efforts, but those lies ends today because I can see you doing well. I won't force any of you to get married, but I want you to understand something. Don't be carried away by your career and forget to settle down. When you meet the right person, dump your pride and work hard to make them yours."

YingPei and Ling exchanged confusing glances. With the way their old man was talking, they really couldn't place a hold on their guesses.

They were trying to guess if their old man knew that they had lied about having girlfriends before, and also, have been keeping an eye on them.

But at least they got one thing from him, and that was the fact that they were no longer under any pressure to settle down.

Grandfather has been keeping an eye on the two of them, but he wasn't closing watching them like intruding into their privacy. He needed to know when to caution them before it was too late.

After the small meeting was over, Jasmine who clung to her father and refused to let go when her Nanny came to take her away, sons he could be put to bed, said to the old man out of the blue, "Great grandfather, I want to have a wedding."

"No, you are not having any wedding!" Fu Hua blurted out with a deep frown before anyone could react.

The little girl's statement and her father's reaction were a thing of laughter. Grandfather Fu couldn't help laughing at the duo. After expressing himself through laughter, he said to the little girl as he took her hand and squeezed it gently, "Da-Xia, you will, but at the right time."

"Great-grandpa, when is the right time?" Jasmine probed.

Jia Li had to step in at this time to distract the little girl. "Jasmine, you are a few minutes late for your bedtime, say good night to your great grandfather so you can rest early if you don't want to be late for school tomorrow."

With that, the little girl bid good night to her elders just before her father carried her away.

"This is the reason she has to stop being present during the adult discussion." Fu Hua said as he walked ahead.

"I know, sometimes I get pissed off as well." Jia Li said with a low tone.

When they got to their daughter's bedroom, Fu Hua out her took her to wash her hands, before tucking her in.

"Good Night daddy, good night Mummy," Jasmine said as she waved to her parents.

"Good night." Jia Li and Fu Hua said in unison and kissed the little princess on her forehead before leaving for their bedroom.

Some days later, Xiulan's mother is discharged from the hospital, and she helps her daughter to prepare a mini feast for Fu Ling.

Two days earlier, Fu Ling received the invitation from Xiulan who came personally to let him in on her mother's intentions.

"The daily lunch is enough, why is she troubling herself?" Fu Ling asked. The everyday lunch was enough for him to receive her thanks, so he didn't know why she wanted to go through all that trouble again.

"That's who my mother is," Xiulan replied.

Fu Ling was silent for a while before saying, "Tell her that after this, I will no longer accept anything from her."

Xiulan nodded and took his words before leaving. After she left his office, Fu Ling didn't immediately get back to work. He spent some time thinking by himself before heaving a sigh.

Back to the present day, Immediately Xiulan's mother got back home from the hospital after she was discharged that day, she only took a short nap after instructing Xiulan on what to do. But immediately she woke up, she got all fired up.

She was immediately busy in the kitchen, which worried Xiulan.

"Mum, you just got out of the hospital, you shouldn't be doing this kind of work already."

"I am already fine, and the doctor confirmed it. It's not like I'm doing anything strenuous. You are the one cutting the vegetables, while I cook. Besides, I have to join hands today, since you have been the one doing all the work since." Xiulan's mother said with a smile.
