The Iron Throne of Ice and Fire

Chapter 41 Prime Minister Tower 2

The Red Keep, Maegor's Tower, the Queen's Bedroom.

Jaime stood by the bed and looked at Cersei, who was still sleeping, and unconsciously curled the corners of his lips.

The soft silk quilt better reflects the beautiful curves of the dreamer.

James' Adam's apple moved, and he reached out and touched Cersei's instep exposed outside the quilt.

"Good day, Your Highness the Queen."

Cersei's eyelashes trembled, her plump long legs straightened, her beautiful feet stretched, and her toes spread and then closed together.

After a brief moment of confusion, Cersei's eyes lit up with a smile. "Good day, Ser Jaime, may your queen arise."

Cersei took the robe from James and wrapped it around her body, then sat in front of the dressing table: "Sir Jaime, I feel like you are a little different than usual? Am I wrong?"

The calm James actually panicked, and said calmly on the surface: "Maybe you are in a happy mood?"

Cersei glanced at James and said, "Tell me what it is."

James walked up to Cersei's back and put his generous hands on Cersei's shoulders: "Princess Myrcella has always wanted you to teach her how to braid her hair. I feel like today is the right time."

Cersei raised her head slightly and met James' gaze, with a smile on her face: "Okay, I promise you, Sir, for your sake, we will go there in a moment."

Red Fort, Prime Minister's Tower.

Ta-ta-ta~ Green walked at a normal pace, but his mind was analyzing the conversation he had just had with Varys.

Varys is a quick-thinking power player whose little birds are everywhere.

In Green's memory before traveling through time, Varys said that his allegiance was not to the king or queen, but to the people.

Some analysts say that Varys is the good guy who most resembles the bad guy.

Varys's various behaviors are too contradictory when taken together, and Green cannot finalize Varys as a person.

Green already has one foot in Game of Thrones, and he also has his own political stance.

Although Varys's words were very friendly, Green himself said all kinds of purposeful words to all kinds of people, so Green was instinctively wary of the words spoken by power players.

The first thing that was determined was that Varys had done something beneficial to Green in front of Duke Jon in advance and showed kindness to Green.

There is no love for no reason in Game of Thrones. What is Varys’ purpose?

Green is a descendant of the model loyal minister of the Long family. He recruits thugs in advance for the Long family to return to the Iron Throne?

Green directly rejected this possibility. Long Ma would not have been able to get "venture capital" without Long.

Green originally thought that he could develop a wave of obscenity before the plot officially unfolded, but since he stepped into King's Landing, he felt very passive. Every small move by the adults would involve a lot of Green's energy.

Green felt that he needed to change his mentality and take the initiative to plan something.

Green walked out of the stairs and reached the second floor.

Green stood still, glanced left and right, and saw a man in a gold robe walking towards him.

"Good day, Lord Baron, please follow me."

Green raised his eyebrows and nodded slightly.

The defense is tight on the outside and loose on the inside. The floors are seemingly separated, but there are communication channels between them. The Prime Minister's Tower has its own unique operating mechanism.

The golden robe led Green to a door with no special sign and stopped.

The golden robe opened the door silently and stood sideways beside the door: "Please come in, Lord Baron."

In the study room.

After Green entered, he saw an old man buried in a pile of documents.

Green walked to the front a few steps away from the desk, held his chest and saluted: "Good day, Lord Jon."

Jon raised his head from the pile of documents and glanced at Green with cloudy eyes: "I will be busy here for a while. I don't like servants to disturb the work. You can do it yourself and treat it as your own home. Find a chair and sit down, there’s something to drink in the wine cabinet.”

Duke Jon seemed like a kind old man chatting to his nephew, with a friendly tone.

After saying that, Jon's attention returned to the pile of documents.

Green couldn't get into the habit of treating alcohol as a normal drink, drinking it anytime and anywhere.

Green pulled up the chair that was placed in front of the desk and sat down, closing his eyes and concentrating.

After a while, Duke Jon put down the document in his hand, stamped it with a bang and put it aside.

Hearing the movement, Green opened his eyes and met Duke Jon's gaze.

"I am getting old and I am not as diligent as before. I have been waiting for a long time, young Baron. You are very patient."

Duke Jon was very kind. Green shook his head humbly, but he was alert in his heart.

Duke Jon leaned his back against the back of the chair and said, "As the guardian of the valley, I'm sorry for what happened to your cousin."

"As an apology, I can help your cousin find a wonderful young man to give her a fresh start."

Green said in a respectful tone: "Thank you Duke for your kindness. My cousin wants to rest for a while."

"It's okay, she's still young. When she's mature enough, tell me that there are still many outstanding young people in the valley."

Green stroked his chest, nodded and expressed his gratitude again.

"I can feel your anger. A small businessman from Seagull Town is so courageous that he dares to insult a noble lady."

Duke Jon paused and asked, "Has the blood of that merchant family calmed your anger?"

Green seemed confused: "Whose blood?"

"My Shour Meka family, do you want me to continue to remind you?"

The kind old man disappeared.
