The Legend of Harry Potter Schoolmaster
Chapter 17 Transfiguration and Charms
In my heart, I silently criticized the Animagus spell, and the surrounding Hufflepuffs and Gryffindor freshmen have arrived one after another.
"Hello, Jon."
"Hello, Steven."
"Good morning, Jon."
"Good morning, Heloise."
Greeting Hufflepuff's classmates one by one... But they didn't know that the tabby cat on the podium was Professor McGonagall, chatting and playing with each other recklessly.
Among them, Steven Lucas also wanted to go to the podium to play a tabby cat, but was pulled and stopped by Jon.
Ginny Weasley also came, and she also sat in the front row, sitting alone not far from Jon's right hand.
At 8:30, everyone in the class arrived...probably no one would be late for the first day, the first class.
"Good morning, everyone!" Professor McGonagall's voice suddenly came from the podium, startling most of the students: "Please keep quiet!"
The entire classroom was suddenly silent.
"I'm Minerva McGonagall, your Transfiguration class teacher..." Professor McGonagall briefly introduced herself.
"It's a very dangerous process to change one thing, or a person, into another thing!" Professor McGonagall's voice was not high, but it was strangely persuasive: "A student who is not careful enough Or someone else turned into a pig, a sheep or something worse, many times in the history of Hogwarts!"
"If you are lucky, this deformation is not permanent..." Professor McGonagall paused: "And if it is permanent, it will be a disaster!"
"Sixteen magical beasts are known to have been created by the failed transfiguration of wizards, including the infamous 'Pentapods'...and in the history of Great Britain at least three hundred wizards have died from their own failed transformations There are also nearly 900 people, because of their failed Transfiguration, they are permanently disabled!"
"I hope you won't be one of them!" Professor McGonagall glanced at the crowd meaningfully.
The Transfiguration classroom became loud with needles falling, and the young wizards looked at each other.
"After you understand the dangers of Transfiguration, I will show you the complexity and magic of Transfiguration!"
Professor McGonagall waved his wand as he spoke.
Almost in an instant, the podium in front of her turned into a huge male lion:
"Ow!" The lion let out a roar and jumped to Colin Creevey's seat, almost knocking the little Gryffindor boy off his chair.
Several classmates who were close to it stepped back again and again.
Professor McGonagall waved her wand again.
I saw the lion took two steps forward and turned into a little badger again, scurrying around the desk... It even jumped on Jon's desk, leaving a paw on the desk print.
"Squeak... squeak..."
In the end, the Badger returned to Professor McGonagall and changed back to the podium.
The students who were just panicking about Transfiguration were quickly attracted... eager to learn how to do it right away.
"Of course... Turning furniture into animals is something you can only learn in senior years!" Professor McGonagall motioned for everyone to be quiet: "I will show you the easiest way to start, first learn how to turn matches into needles !"
She gave each student a few matches.
"Imagine the appearance of a needle in your mind... Keep that scene in your mind until it is set, without any slight changes... Now, let the match in front of you coincide with the needle in your mind. …”
"The spell is 'Acus'! Note, the accent is on the back... Now, raise your wands..."
"Arcus!" Jon shouted without hesitation, raising his wand.
However, the match in front of him did not seem to have changed.
"Very beautiful, Miss Weasley!" Professor McGonagall's voice sounded from Jon's right hand: "Not a small success on the first try, one point for Gryffindor!"
The eyes of everyone in the class turned to Ginny Weasley.
The match in her hand has changed a little at the tail...
"Could it be that Voldemort's diary comes with the effect of the old grandpa?" Glancing at the match that showed no change in himself, Jon touched his head.
...
After a class, Jon Hart was the fourth of four students who made the match change.
He just made the end of the match a little pointy, and Ginny Weasley made the whole match a prototype of a needle...Professor McGonagall gave her another point for Gryffindor.
This makes Jon a little depressed, not because of lack of limelight or extra points... You must know that he has memorized the entire "Basic Transformation Guide" by heart, and most of those classmates did not read it before the start of school. The textbook has been opened.
In fact, the whole theory of the spell "Akus" was clear to him... The fundamental reason for the inability to succeed was that it was difficult for him to outline the picture of the needle in his mind and overlap it with the match.
But there was no time to feel sorry for myself, because the Charms class was about to start.
The Charms class is located on the left-hand corridor on the fourth floor. When Jon followed the Hufflepuff crowd, he found that it was already full of Ravenclaw students.
The short Professor Filius Flitwick had to stand on a stack of books to reach the desk... Take out the roster for roll call before he started the class.
This class of students doesn't have a big man like Harry Potter, so he doesn't make a fuss.
Like Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick also spent half the class with them emphasizing the importance of the Charms class... and then demonstrated the Shattering Charm, the Repairing Charm, and the Flying Charm in public.
Professor Flitwick then taught them how to cast a "hover spell," a spell that keeps objects in the air for a few seconds.
Moreover, Flitwick claimed that if the vast majority of the students in the class mastered this spell easily, they would be taught a more advanced, profound, and very useful "floating spell"!
In half a class of practice, none of the students from the two academies were able to successfully cast the "Hover Charm", including Jon.
Although Flitwick comforted them, "Hovering Spell" requires a lot of practice, and he has brought so many students, only a few students can successfully control it in the first class...
But on the way to the restaurant, Jon is still very disappointed.
Just like in the Transfiguration class, he has already figured out all the theory of "Hovering Spell" and even the advanced version of "Floating Spell", but it is difficult to put it into practice...
The first morning at Hogwarts was obviously bad for him!
