The Legend of Harry Potter Schoolmaster
Chapter 34 Back to School
The train successfully stopped on the platform of Hogwarts.
They walked out of the dark platform with the crowd, and this time, they didn't need to row into the school again.
Outside the station, a hundred horse-drawn carriages were waiting for them... To be precise, the Thestral's carriage, but Jon couldn't see the Thestral in front of the carriage.
He and Astoria climbed into one of them.
The carriage passed through the gate and through a wide driveway; soon they could see the gates of Hogwarts Castle.
Just after that, the carriage stopped under the stone steps in front of the two oak gates; after disembarking, they went up the stone steps and entered the deep cavernous hall.
Back to school after the Christmas break is not like the beginning of school, there is a sumptuous opening banquet. Jon and Astoria bid farewell in a hurry and were about to follow the students of their respective houses back to their common room when a middle-aged witch in an emerald robe stopped them.
"Professor McGonagall, what's the matter?" a Ravenclaw woman asked loudly.
"I'm sorry!" Professor McGonagall's face seemed a little weak: "But you need to wait for the professor of your college to pick you up back to the common room... Gryffindor students, come to me!"
"What the hell is going on?" several senior boys shouted.
"A new attack, just a dozen days ago...two victims, Justin Finch of Hufflepuff and Gryffindor's ghost Nicholas Popington!" Professor McGonagall's mood said solemnly.
"what!"
"Justin he was attacked..."
"Wait...not even the ghost!"
The crowd immediately began to discuss, and as Astoria just said, most of them did not know the news.
Especially the Hufflepuff students, most of them were shocked.
Fortunately, Professor Sprout arrived quickly.
"Hufflepuff classmates, come with me..." she said sadly.
...
"It must have been Potter!" Jon heard Ernie McMillan's loud voice when he got into the barrel and climbed through the underground tunnel.
Ernie didn't come home over the Christmas break, so he knew the "truth" about Justin's attack!
Several Hufflepuff students who had returned home from vacation hurriedly gathered around.
"You know what? Potter appeared at the attack site by coincidence again... When we found out that Justin and Nick were killed, he and Weasley were at the attack site!" Ernie McMillan said eloquently.
"If one is a coincidence, then he appeared at the right place in the three attacks...there must be ghosts!"
In fact, what Ernie said is quite reasonable, no matter from which point of view Harry Potter is the first suspect in the attack. And every time I heard a strange sound (the sound of the basilisk), I hurried over there... I didn't even meet the basilisk and Ginny once (it is estimated that I will die immediately after encountering it), which is very lucky.
"Why did he attack Justin!" Hannah Abbott asked, puzzled. "I remember Harry and Justin had a good relationship in herbal medicine class..."
"Justin told Potter in the herbal class that he was Muggle-born, and he must have been grudged by Potter!" Ernie said decisively: "In an extracurricular activity a few days before Christmas, Potter I once ordered a snake to attack Justin, if Professor Snape hadn't stopped him, I'm afraid Justin would have been killed at the time... However, this incident made Potter show his guilt!"
"Is he a Parseltongue?"
"That's right! You know, Parseltongue is the symbol of the worst wizards...and Salazar Slytherin is a Parseltongue himself!"
"He's hiding so deep!" Hannah screamed.
"Betting on the name of my MacMillan family, the murderer must be Harry Potter!" Ernie MacMillan has already made a judgment.
...
But Ernie's brilliant reasoning was interrupted by the appearance of Professor Sprout.
"Ernie, don't use your malice to try to figure out your classmates!" Professor Sprout said sternly to Ernie: "Professor Dumbledore believes that Mr. Potter is not the murderer, that's enough!"
"Okay, professor..." Ernie McMillan walked away gloomily.
Jon was surprised to find that Professor Sprout's eyes turned to him.
"Jon, come with me, okay?" she said softly.
"Well, Professor!" Jon hurried over and followed Professor Sprout out of the barrel.
"Professor, what's the matter?"
"I want to ask you about those two spiders!" Professor Sprout asked solemnly, "How are they?"
"They're dead!" Jon's face showed a sad look:
"Professor, after you came to the common room and helped me get them back, they were not in very good condition...until one day in November, when they suddenly screamed, when I was ready to give them When fed, they are already dead!"
"I'm sorry...but can you find out what day they died?" Professor Sprout continued.
"Let me think..." Jon frowned. "It seems... it seems to be the day after Hufflepuff beat Ravenclaw's Quidditch match!"
"What?" Professor Sprout's expression changed suddenly.
"What's the matter, Professor?" Jon asked knowingly, the day after Colin Creevey was killed.
"It's nothing, child... I have to find Professor Kettleburn..." Professor Sprout seemed to stutter when he spoke: "Sorry, sorry!"
After taking two steps back, she turned around again:
"Remember, don't leave the Hufflepuff common room alone."
"Okay, Professor!"
...
Leaving the castle, Professor Pomona Sprout, a herbal teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, hurried to the edge of the Forbidden Forest.
But when she arrived at the thatched hut, she found that she was empty.
Fantastic Creatures teacher, Professor Sylvanos Kettleborn, wasn't here.
Professor Sprout wandered around the hut for a while and found the burly Hogwarts key keeper.
"Hello, Hagrid!"
"Hello, Professor."
Rubeus-Hagrid was carrying a large cage in his hands, and there was a chirping sound inside.
"I'm looking for Sylvanos, he doesn't seem to be at school?" Professor Sprout asked softly.
"Professor Keitelborn?" Hagrid said with a broad smile. "He seems to have gone to London to replace his prosthesis, and he won't be back until a month later; Professor Grapland is taking lessons for him!"
As he spoke, Hagrid couldn't help but look envious in his eyes.
"Really?" Professor Sprout sighed. She suddenly found the cage in Hagrid's hands, which was chattering, and couldn't help but ask curiously, "What's inside?"
"A group of little roosters!" Hagrid replied casually, "I don't know if the roosters in the school were done by foxes or vampires, but all twelve of them were killed; now the school is looking for a crowing chicken. no more..."
