The Little Superman of Hogwarts
#132 - Chapter 132 [Visit of the Grangers]
Did Slytherin go to so much trouble, excavating such a huge underground space, just to raise a Basilisk? Although Basilisks are rare, would such a creature really be that uncommon for someone like Slytherin?
The answer, of course, is: No!
As one of the founders of Hogwarts, and even the second in command, essentially the deputy headmaster, how could Salazar Slytherin waste his efforts on something so useless?
Although he had some conflicts with the other founders, records show that he was still extremely responsible towards his students—somewhat like Snape.
Perhaps all Slytherins are this type of person, cold on the outside but warm on the inside. If we apply Slytherin's actions to Snape, it's easy to understand that Slytherin might expel all Muggle-born wizards, but he would never "kill" Muggle-born students.
It's like Snape—you can imagine Snape expelling Harry, causing Harry to live an ordinary and unremarkable life, all to protect Harry and prevent him from getting involved in wizarding disputes. But Snape would never, under any circumstances, kill Harry Potter, even if it meant his own death!
So, some questions arise:
First, what exactly was the purpose of Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets?
Klee simply speculated that the so-called heir was meant to become the head of Slytherin House or the headmaster of Hogwarts. His Chamber should be a place to cultivate heirs or "select" heirs. Only those who pass certain tests can become qualified heads of Slytherin or headmasters.
Second, what role does the Basilisk play?
Klee's speculation is that it's just a "watchdog"! It's just that Slytherin himself never imagined that the Basilisk would grow so large… Perhaps back then, the Basilisk was only a few meters long, a terrifying magical creature, but certainly not such a monster!
Third, what is the relationship between Voldemort and the Chamber?
Klee's rough guess is that Voldemort belonged to an heir sequence, so he had the ability to control the watchdog, but he didn't seem to have fully passed Slytherin's tests, so he didn't become a true "heir."
Based on this theory, Klee even came to a very startling guess: that Dumbledore was actually the heir before Voldemort. Dumbledore may have passed all the tests and forcefully become the headmaster of Hogwarts.
And Voldemort knew about this, and Dumbledore was also familiar with it, which could explain why, in the original story, Dumbledore's Order of the Phoenix came to save Harry so conveniently, and the Sorting Hat was cleverly brought to the scene.
Hundreds of years ago, this test should have been a fact known to both the headmaster and the heads of houses, but as time passed, only a few individuals might have stumbled into the testing grounds by accident.
With these basic speculations, Klee and Ginny also had some basic judgments about Goyle's actions—Goyle would definitely enter the Chamber again, he would definitely go in to take out some things or do something.
The second-floor bathroom is now completely sealed off by Dumbledore, and unless someone has more magic power than Dumbledore, it can't be opened at all.
The winter break was coming soon. Because of Hermione's situation, Klee didn't plan to go home. He would stay at Hogwarts to spend this boring Christmas with Hermione.
Ginny also decided to spend Christmas at Hogwarts. She had two purposes: to take care of Hermione (actually, there's not much to take care of with a stone person), and to explore the Chamber of Secrets (in other words, to follow Klee and loot the spoils)!

The day before Christmas, a couple came to Hogwarts—Professor McGonagall personally went to pick them up—it was Hermione's parents, the Grangers.
Klee and Ginny were waiting at the gate of Hogwarts. Professor McGonagall arrived at the castle gate in a car. When the three of them jumped out of the car, Mrs. Granger looked extremely depressed, Mr. Granger was slightly better, but you could also see the worry deep in his eyes.
Klee quickly went up to hug them and chat warmly, and introduced Ginny to the Grangers.
"Such a pretty little girl!" Mrs. Granger finally showed a smile.
The group quickly walked to the school hospital. On the way, Klee recounted the events from his perspective, roughly from Ginny being controlled, accidentally hurting Hermione, to several students being injured one after another, Hermione fighting the Basilisk, finally killing the Basilisk and receiving a medal, and Hermione's old injuries recurring and turning to stone again.
Pushing open the door, the Grangers immediately saw Hermione lying on the bed, her eyes open, still in the posture of speaking.
Professor McGonagall then excused herself and left, leaving the scene to Klee. She couldn't trust Klee more.
"Uncle and Auntie, I really hope you can forgive me. My mistakes led to Hermione being attacked. I'm really sorry…" Ginny suddenly knelt on the ground: "At the latest, she will definitely be back to normal in four months."
Ginny's sudden kneeling startled the Grangers. They quickly pulled Ginny up, and Mrs. Granger hugged Ginny tightly, saying: "Professor McGonagall told us everything, it wasn't your fault, Voldemort controlled you, it was an accident!"
After the three calmed down, Klee said: "I will temporarily undo Hermione's petrified state. You will have about forty to fifty minutes to talk."
Finally, after Klee released the spell, Hermione blinked her eyes and saw the Grangers.
"Dad! Mom!" Hermione instantly woke up. Her thoughts were still on her conversation with Klee. In her vision, she had just asked Klee to see her parents, and the next moment she saw her parents. The clever Hermione immediately realized that it should be Christmas now, and that Klee had done this.
"Thank you! Klee!" Hermione hugged Klee tightly and then gave him a light kiss.
Klee hugged Hermione and left the time to the family, then took Ginny out of the ward.
While the two were waiting outside, Ginny suddenly asked: "You love Hermione very much, don't you?"
"I don't really understand what love is, I just feel that I feel very comfortable and happy when I'm with Hermione," Klee did not answer directly.
"I'm also very happy with you!" Ginny raised her head, looking up at the tall Klee, and said: "Actually, my life with my family isn't very exciting."
"Merry Christmas! Ginny! You will be happier in the future!" Klee touched Ginny's head. Ginny was even shorter than Hermione, and Klee felt like he was petting a pet.
