The Little Superman of Hogwarts
#227 - Chapter 227 [Unlucky Brother Malfoy]
The Care of Magical Creatures exam was scheduled for the second day. In the original story, due to a major accident in the first class where Malfoy was injured, Hagrid's teaching style was very conservative, and his final exam was quite uninspired.
However, now, thanks to Klee's subtle influence, Hagrid's teaching style had undergone significant changes, becoming somewhat adventurous and radical, and the final exam questions had naturally changed as well.
Final practical exam question: [Grooming the Aragog's Hair]
This question sounded terrifying. The Aragog that grew hair was at least a foot long. Imagine someone holding a foot-long spider, feeding it, grooming its hair, and cleaning it. Just thinking about the scene was incredibly frightening.
And so, in the final exam, the unlucky Malfoy appeared.
Heaven knows, this time Malfoy really didn't deliberately make fun of Hagrid, nor did he intentionally court death.
Unfortunately, Aragog was inherently a dangerous animal, and Malfoy might just have been incompatible with spiders.
The moment he put on his gloves and picked up the Aragog, the spider shot out several poisonous barbs, which hit Malfoy's eyes directly.
Klee was very close to Malfoy, and if he had been paying attention, he would have been able to stop it—but why would Klee pay attention to Malfoy? Wasn't paying attention to Hermione much better?
So, by the time Klee heard the sound of the poisonous barbs and saw them, the dark, hairy things had already pierced his eyeballs.
After the poisonous hairs pierced his eyeballs, Malfoy paused for a second, touched it with his hand, and then intense pain surged from his hand and eyeballs.
The next breath, Malfoy's miserable screams echoed throughout the greenhouse...
Hagrid was stunned. He waited four or five seconds before reacting, quickly rushing towards Malfoy and casting a healing spell.
But it seemed to have very little effect. Malfoy's fingers and eyes turned charcoal black within minutes.
Professor Sprout was in the greenhouse. After hearing the screams, she quickly arrived, assessed the situation, and quickly found a potion from the cabinet, sprinkling it on Malfoy's face and hands.
After two or three minutes, when Malfoy was slightly stabilized, Hagrid carried Malfoy quickly towards the school hospital.
The third-year exams were suspended as a result. Under the direction of Klee and Hermione, all the spiders were collected and put back into the jars.
Students from Slytherin House went to the school hospital one after another to visit Malfoy.
Malfoy's injuries were very serious. The poison was easily neutralized, but the damage caused by the poison was difficult to recover.
The next day, from the conversations of Slytherin wizards and some prefects, Klee learned about Malfoy's current condition:
Both eyes were blind, and his right index finger would likely have to be amputated. Malfoy had cried all night due to his blindness, and only fell asleep due to exhaustion in the early hours of the morning.
Malfoy was unlucky, but Hagrid was even more unlucky. Old Man Malfoy and his wife arrived that afternoon, making a scene in Dumbledore's office, and even wanted to make a scene in the greenhouse, but were stopped by Professor Sprout.
The final exams were greatly affected as a result. Hagrid was suspended, and Professor Sprout and Snape temporarily took over to preside over the exams.
Even after the exams were over, the storm had not subsided, because Malfoy's eyes were still blind and his finger had to be amputated.
Klee had just finished the last exam and found Hagrid waiting outside. As soon as he saw Klee come out, he immediately walked over.
Hagrid was wearing his classic robe, looking dejected and listless. Klee was now nearly 1.9 meters tall, but still a small figure in front of Hagrid.
Hagrid looked at Klee with dim eyes and said, "Hello, Klee, do you have time? I want to talk to you..."
Of course, Klee could, so they went to an empty classroom together.
"Dumbledore asked me to come to you," Hagrid stammered.
In short, Hagrid was in big trouble because of Malfoy's matter, and after Dumbledore's guidance, Hagrid found Klee.
Klee understood instantly...
If anyone in Hogwarts understood Klee better than Hermione and Ginny, it must be Dumbledore!
Dumbledore knew that only he in the entire school truly had the ability to completely heal Malfoy—Snape could completely cure Malfoy's toxicity and restore Malfoy's vision, but could not restore 100% of his vision—he might restore 80% of his vision, which was the limit of potions.
Going further would require magic... and Snape's magic value was only over 10,000 cards, completely incomparable to Klee.
So Dumbledore immediately thought of Klee. As long as the big fool spoke, Klee would definitely do it.
"Of course, I can agree to your request, but before that, I want to ask, have you recognized your mistake?" Klee explained.
"Mistake?" Hagrid looked at Klee in confusion.
"A student was injured because of your exam question, can you say that you are not wrong?" Klee questioned.
"Of course, I'm not wrong!" Hagrid said, "Aragog is just the simplest thing."
"Do you know what [bottom-line thinking] is?" Klee retorted.
Hagrid looked at Klee with a confused expression.
"For example, with a Muggle airplane, do you know what the most core question for the manufacturer of this airplane is at the beginning?"
Hagrid looked bewildered...
"It's—not—to crash!" Klee explained, "Of course, the plane flies, but if it falls from the sky to the ground, it will cause hundreds of people to die! Equivalent to an entire year of students at Hogwarts all dying!"
Hagrid was a little shocked. He pondered with his not-so-smart brain.
"I was very close to Malfoy at the time. I can be sure that Malfoy didn't do anything wrong. Obviously, the truth is that Aragog lost control!
I want to ask—if it was Harry Potter's spider that lost control, what would you do?"
Hagrid's face turned pale. He couldn't imagine Harry being injured.
"Now do you understand what you lack?" Klee said.
"Bottom-line thinking..." Hagrid repeated this sentence, lowered his head, and remained silent.
"You are just a teacher. Of course, you can set the difficulty of the course very high, but you seem to have never considered this risk!" Klee said, "You brought people to the edge of the cliff, but you didn't give him a ladder to fall down! You are killing people!"
Hagrid had been mentally and physically exhausted these days. Hearing Klee's serious words, he could no longer hold back and burst into tears.
