The Little Superman of Hogwarts

#49 - 第49章 「克里消失了」

This Christmas was not particularly special compared to many previous Christmases.

Classes had ended a week prior, and students who could return home had left the school to return to their families. Those who remained either didn't want to go back or had matters requiring them to stay at Hogwarts. Some, like Harry, had nowhere else to go.

Generally, a large portion of Hogwarts students would spend Christmas at the school during the winter break.

Hermione was in her dormitory, opening her presents. The first few were from her roommates. At the bottom, her parents had sent a complete encyclopedia set—over a hundred books. It was a wonder how such a small owl had transported them…

Finally, the most exquisite small box was from Klee, about the size of an A4 sheet of paper.

Opening the outer packaging revealed an extremely delicate silver metal box. The box's surface had golden dragon reliefs—images of Chinese dragons. If one counted carefully, there were exactly five dragons, all five-clawed golden dragons, encircling a sun at the very center.

Hermione was about to open the box when her two roommates came over.

"Is this your gift?" Pettigrew was immediately drawn to the box’s golden reliefs.

"Can I take a look?" Brown also came closer.

"Of course!" Hermione said happily. Although her relationship with her roommates wasn't great, it was just cold—they weren't enemies.

"Wait… Is this box made of silver and gold?" Brown exclaimed. The box's surface had woven patterns similar to wicker, created by metal rolling. The five dragons were made of gold, and the sun in the center seemed to be a ruby or something similar.

"It's real gold and silver!" Pettigrew also touched the box. She seemed more familiar with gold and silver jewelry and instantly recognized the box's value.

Pettigrew and Brown exchanged glances, both amazed by their not-so-close roommate.

"I'm going to open it!" Hermione pressed the latch, revealing a small keyhole inside. A key was fastened to the lid with a clip, and below the key were a few lines of verse—a love poem.

"May your cheeks be as white as the moon;

May your eyes be as bright as the moon;

I crave darkness,

But you bring a ray of light.

I have but one wish,

To become your sun!"

"Amazing, this gift is simply amazing!" Brown exclaimed.

"Hurry up and open it!" Pettigrew urged Hermione.

Hermione took the key, inserted it into the keyhole, and turned it. A clicking sound came from inside, but it didn't open.

Pettigrew and Brown were momentarily stunned. Why couldn't it be opened?

Hermione listened carefully to the sound: "It's the sound of an extremely complex safe. Although this box is small, there should be a safe inside!"

"Wait… I think I understand!" Hermione picked up the key again, inserted it, turned it twice clockwise, half a turn counterclockwise, and finally pressed down hard.

"Click, click, click…" A melodious musical sound immediately came from inside the box!

"The poem is actually the password—very simple. The moon is only pure white during a full moon, a full moon is one circle, so two full moons are naturally two circles. The moon only shows a little light when it's a half-circle, so it's half a turn counterclockwise. Finally, the sun represents power, the sun god! So it means pressing down with force…" Hermione explained. Her two roommates looked at Hermione with "aliens have landed" eyes, feeling even more that Hermione was the type they couldn't understand.

With the music, two small drawers popped open from the side of the box, and the central part automatically rose into a small platform…

On the small platform lay a brooch, a phoenix brooch. The phoenix's head was carved from a whole diamond—at least ten carats or more.

On the left were two bracelets, made of jade or agate. On the right was a necklace. If anyone was familiar with its style, they would realize that this necklace was exactly the same as the necklace in the movie *Titanic*, which would be released a few years later.

"These things seem to be worth at least several thousand Galleons!" Pettigrew exclaimed.

"I think they're worth at least ten thousand Galleons or more!" Brown said. "That diamond is a real diamond, and it's so huge!"

Once her two roommates finished marveling, Hermione put away the box, intending to find Klee.

But then a problem arose.

"Isn't Klee in the dormitory?" Hermione asked Harry and Ron.

"His dormitory door is open, but he's not in the dormitory! There are even unopened gifts on his desk," Ron replied.

"I went to the library earlier, and he wasn't there either!" Hermione said, puzzled.

"Today is Christmas, where could he have gone?" Harry also found it strange.

When lunchtime arrived, with hundreds of roast chickens appearing in the dining hall, Hermione still hadn't found Klee.

Eventually, Hermione sought help from Professor McGonagall—however, Professor McGonagall and several prefects couldn't find Klee either.

"From the current situation, Klee is missing!" Professor McGonagall said with a serious expression. "I need to go find the Headmaster!"

On any other day, Klee being missing for a day wouldn't be a particularly special event, but this was Christmas. The school's students would all be celebrating together in the dining hall, enjoying themselves, feasting…

Professor McGonagall led Hermione to the entrance of the Headmaster's office. Dumbledore was actually in the office.

"I'm sorry to disturb you, Albus! I didn't expect you to still be in the office!" Professor McGonagall explained.

"Merry Christmas! Where else would this lonely old man go? The Ministry of Magic is clearly not a good place. I spent all last night dealing with them," Dumbledore said wearily.

"Thank you for your hard work! However, I must say—we discovered today that a first-year Gryffindor student, Christian, is missing!" Professor McGonagall said.

"Are you talking about Klee?" Dumbledore looked down at Hermione and gave her a big smile. "Klee is a very good child, isn't he?"

"Of course! Klee is a great young man!" Hermione replied.

"Haha!" Dumbledore laughed. "Minerva, don't worry, I think I know where Klee went."

"Where is he?" Hermione asked eagerly.

"He's playing in a painting, or rather, he's traveling in another world!"

"Traveling?" Hermione looked puzzled.

"A painting?" Professor McGonagall looked thoughtfully at Dumbledore. A long time ago, Dumbledore had said that he would meet Klee properly because Professor McGonagall had discovered that this student seemed to possess precognitive abilities and believed that Klee was the legendary person in the prophecy. At that time, Dumbledore had said that he would prepare a painting to give to Klee.

"When will he be back?" Hermione pressed.

"Like a Muggle car, when it runs out of gas, it will come back!" Dumbledore said. "He can drive a little bit every day and leave it in the garage, or he can drive the whole way overnight. In short, it depends on him. However, it won't be too long, just a tank of gas, it will always run out."

Hermione frowned, clearly not satisfied with this answer.

But eventually, she was pulled out by Professor McGonagall. Hermione didn't have a pleasant Christmas.

After Professor McGonagall sent Hermione back, she returned to Dumbledore's office.

"Do you also think Klee is the savior?" Professor McGonagall's expression was very serious at this time.

"I don't know either, but I can try. We've been looking for the person in the prophecy for a long time… for hundreds of years… Since I took over this task, I've been constantly trying. There have been two before, you know, Grindelwald and Tom, but obviously, they are not the one!" Dumbledore said wearily. "I thought that person was Potter, but compared to him, Klee is too excellent. He really satisfies me!"

Professor McGonagall looked thoughtful. After returning to her office, Professor McGonagall took out a roll of parchment.

Some records were written on the parchment:

"1666, the ultimate disaster appears in the prophecies of almost all seers, the time is about 300 years."

"1853, the seers concretized the vague prophecy, determining that magic will completely disappear in the future, the specific time is roughly estimated to be around 2000, plus or minus ten years."

"1930, the Mayan civilization was deciphered, and the legend of the world's destruction in 2012 was confirmed. Almost at the same time, similar things were discovered around the world. As early as thousands of years ago, the Egyptian pharaohs discovered this impending event. They vaguely felt that one day magic would no longer appear.—That will be a nightmare for all wizards! Minerva's note"

"But in all the prophecies, there is a savior who appears. If something can be done successfully, then magic will not disappear, and it will even become more powerful!"

"The Egyptian civilization calls him: Son of the Sun, that person will have the power of the sun."

"The Mayan civilization calls it: Sixth Sun Era, that person will bring a new era;"

"Eastern civilization calls it: Five Stars rise in the East, benefiting China, this person will come from the mysterious East;"

"European seers call it: Savior;"

"1945, some wizards believe that the savior is not a person, but a weapon. The nuclear weapons created by Muggles are the savior in the prophecy."

"1980, a new prophecy shows that the savior has been born."

At the bottom of the record was written a line: "Both Potter and Klee came to Hogwarts at the same time."

Professor McGonagall muttered to herself: "Klee possesses some precognitive abilities, and Harry defeated Voldemort shortly after birth, so who is the savior?"

Professor McGonagall looked at the parchment in her hand for a long time. After a long time, she came to the observatory alone and observed the starry sky.
