The mysterious journey begins with becoming a pirate
Chapter 5 Mist
Looking around furtively, it was pitch black, and no one noticed.
I don’t know what time it is. It’s so dark, it should not be tomorrow yet. I feel my stomach growling a little. After all, I have almost vomited all the food I ate last night.
I’ll go to the toilet first. I remember the bathroom is at the door.
I groped for the only window of the servant’s room next to me, ready to use the moonlight outside the window to see the road.
I opened the window and looked out.
There was no moon, no stars, and even no sea. There was only a large area of darkness.
This was not like the darkness of a normal night. There was at least a trace of light in the night. The darkness around seemed to swallow everything, and I could only rely on my senses to grope.
There was no sound at all, even the sound of the waves disappeared.
At this time, Alok felt that the hull was no longer shaking, as if it was on land.
The pitch-black environment made Alok feel a little scared. He swallowed.
Touched his chest gently and felt his pounding heart.
What’s going on? The night is too dark. Something is wrong!
Is it still a dream?
He first went back to the bed and fumbled for his sword, hanging it on his waist. This gave him a sense of security.
Then he hurriedly ran over there according to the location of the door in his memory. But he was tripped by an unknown object.
Alok groaned in pain, but no sound came out. But he was only concerned with curling up and didn't notice this.
Then he got up and rubbed his cheek to relieve the pain.
Calm down, calm down, calm down, it's just darkness... Finally, take a deep breath, calm yourself down, and slowly grope forward.
I should find a lamp first, mainly because I am not familiar with this place and don't know where the oil lamp is. I remember it was on the table? I can't light the oil lamp, and I don't have a fire. Who would have thought that I would have to get up in the middle of the night.
In the dark environment, the only sound around was my own heartbeat. Alok didn't dare to be careless, and kept groping under his feet. His hands were also waving in the air.
Finally he touched the wall, he held the wall and kept approaching the door.
About a minute later, he breathed a sigh of relief. He touched the door and gently opened it. There was still a combination of deathly silence and darkness outside. Alok jumped up again.
I knew I was in the cabin servant room before. This darkness is endless.
Why does it feel wrong? Why is there no night watchman? The lights are off?
Alok took a few deep breaths, which is an effective way to calm himself down. The air feels quite humid. It is filled with water vapor.
He is in a dilemma.
Go back to sleep? Go to the toilet?
Or wait here and wait for the pirates to get up?
Who knows if they are still there and whether they can get up. This is unknown. The continuous weirdness made Alok start to think wildly. He wanted to escape from here in a hurry.
Let's go to Roger's room first, it's the closest to me. If he is there, wake him up first.
Alok quickly walked to the master bedroom, which was still dark inside, and knocked on the door.
But no sound came out, Alok frowned tightly. He slammed the door again and shouted: "Second Officer Roger."
The strange thing is that no sound came out.
A trace of cold sweat ran down Alok's head, and his scalp was numb.
This!!!
Finally realized the seriousness of the problem.
He calmed down, mustered up the courage and kicked the door open violently.
Alok shouted twice, although no sound came out, but it also gave himself courage.
He clenched his fists and stepped into the room. Although he didn't know the location of the bed, the bedroom should be similar. After groping for a long time, he finally found where Roger was. Alok shook his body vigorously.
Feeling that the person on the bed moved a little irritably. There was still no sound around.
I believe Roger should have felt something was wrong.
Roger groped to stand up. I don't know where to find an oil lamp, and he couldn't light it after striking several matches.
He fumbled for two flints from the bedside in a hurry, and it took a while to light the oil lamp.
Alok had been waiting quietly. Until a little fire came from Roger, he breathed a sigh of relief, and his frown was slightly relaxed.
Alok approached the fire on Roger's side. Only when you get very close can you see each other's face clearly. Both of them were surprised and panicked to varying degrees.
Roger opened his mouth and shouted, but also failed to make any sound. Obviously, he also found the problem.
The two looked around and found that there was thick fog around them, and the gray fog covered everything.
With the help of the weak firelight, Roger moved to the desk and sat down. He picked up the feather pen inserted in the ink bottle on the table and dipped it in ink. With a little trembling, he wrote a line on the curled parchment in front of him: What's the situation.
Then he handed the feather pen to Alok, and the meaning couldn't be more obvious.
Alok took it, lay on the table, and wrote: I don't know, I woke up in the middle of the night like this.
Touching his smooth chin, Roger suddenly picked up a silver pocket watch with complicated patterns from the table and opened it. His eyes widened in horror, and his pupils shrank to the size of a needle tip.
He trembled and wrote a line of ugly words on the parchment: It's already morning!!!
He showed the pocket watch to Alok, who didn't know what was going on.
Alok glanced at the trembling pocket watch. He swallowed his saliva, and the pocket watch showed that it was already 8 o'clock in the morning.
This!!!
The two looked around in horror. It seemed that there was extreme terror hidden in the fog around them.
Roger continued to write: Let's go wake them up now.
He got up in a hurry, picked up the oil lamp, and took the parchment and quill on the table. He staggered and made his way in front.
Alok followed closely, afraid of losing him. He looked at Roger in front of him and shook his head.
"Why is there a double image? Is it because of hunger?"
Alok closed his eyes and calmed down.
He returned to the ocean again. The stars in the sky seemed to be laughing at his ignorance.
In front of Alok was no longer Roger, but the bright blue and white star.
Alok felt his heart pause for a second.
Am I still dreaming? No way? Dream within a dream?
He opened his eyes, and there was still darkness in front of him and a little light in front of him.
He rubbed his eyes, and his Adam's apple moved up and down because of the swallowing action. He closed his eyes again and shook his head.
The ocean and the starry sky in front of him became the ocean again.
Alok breathed heavily. His lips turned pale. Sweat entered his eyes, making him blink unconsciously.
At this time, Roger had already walked a distance in front. Alok gently stroked his chest and comforted himself:
"It's okay. It's a dream."
With a dazed head, he quickly followed the only light of the oil lamp in front of him.
With his eyes closed, the view from the ocean was extremely clear. The soft white star representing Alok kept up with the pace of the blue and white stars in front. Gradually approaching the shadow over there.
The light in front at least gave Alok some courage, but unfortunately the darkness behind him still made his back cold.
He suddenly thought of a question. Could it be that the blue star represents the second mate Roger? Who is the gray shadow? Why are there only three stars near me, and where are the others? Are they all gone? Or can only special people become stars? Then why are there different colors?
These questions troubled Alok, while he absent-mindedly followed Roger in front of him, his thoughts flew into outer space.
The oil lamp in front can only illuminate a very small area. Alok followed Roger to the deck and came to the captain's room at the rear of the ship. From Alok's perspective, there was a large shadow inside.
So the shadow represents Captain Repton. Then I guess that strange three-colored star must be the first mate Sorok. Alok had a certain guess in his mind.
Knocked on the door. Still no sound came out. Roger looked back at Alok.
Alok walked forward and demonstrated to Roger how to kick with his foot.
Roger shook his head with a bitter face and gestured to Alok to go up.
Alok took a long breath, stepped down and quickly flashed behind Roger, with an expression of no trouble.
Stepped into the captain's room and found the figure of Captain Repton by the light of the fire. He was still sitting on the captain's chair. His sword was at his side.
Roger walked up and shook Repton lightly.
The captain's figure disappeared from Alok's sight. When he looked sideways, he found that he had appeared behind Roger, with the dagger in his hand on Roger's neck.
After seeing who was coming, Repton put down the dagger in his hand. His mouth opened slightly, as if he said something.
Roger hurriedly showed the parchment to Repton. And wrote a line of words:
We were silenced.
Repton observed the surrounding environment, pondered for a while, picked up the pen on the table, and wrote:
You blow a gust of wind to disperse it.
He closed his eyes and obviously wanted to say something, and then Roger opened his eyes in horror. With a more trembling hand, he wrote:
The connection with the sea of mental power is broken.
It seemed that this gave him a greater shock.
After reading the handwriting, Repton looked up and observed the environment. He narrowed his eyes. Without any instructions, he led the way to the deck.
Picking up the torch at the door of the room, Repton lit it with the fire of the oil lamp. And kicked the sleeping night watchman at the door to wake him up.
Alok also picked up a torch and lit it like Repton. The light of the torches dispelled a little fog, but only a little.
As more and more torches were lit, the fog on the ship finally turned into a thin layer. It was as if everything was wearing a veil.
There were several sailors around, holding torches.
A panting sailor who had just come up from the bottom of the cabin lay on the side of the ship to look at the environment outside. He hurried to Lepton. He shouted loudly, but only a faint sound came out.
From the mosquito-like voice, Alok distinguished what was said:
Captain, we are stranded.
Lighting a cigarette, Lepton took a deep breath and looked back at Roger.
Roger hurriedly said loudly:
"I looked at our route yesterday and predicted the weather. There is no storm, no shoals or reefs."
Hearing this, Lepton fell into deep thought. He suddenly raised his head, as if he thought of something. He quickly turned his head to look at Alok.
Alok also seemed to realize something.
"Treasure!!!"
