"Just say what you want to say," Joyce said bluntly.

The two were walking home when Mr Hunter said:

"Master, our mission today has not been completed yet."

Yes, the purpose of this trip was to look for opportunities to act in order to digest the potion, but was stymied by the Barron brothers and sisters... But Joyce was not going to give up, he said:

"It won't take long to fight against a gangster. The battle will be over tonight. It only takes one day, and I can still afford to delay it."

Mr. Hunter knew that Joyce had made up his mind, so he reminded:

"Of course small gangs are nothing, but there must be a lot of children who have been kidnapped by them and become disabled. How to deal with these children who have no ability to survive is the biggest problem."

"Yeah, I've been thinking about that," Joyce echoed, then asked, "Isn't there a child welfare agency in Byam?"

As a military aristocrat, he did not know much about these civil aspects, but Mr. Hunter, who was a butler, seemed to have an idea. He replied:

"Yes, but there are very few institutions that are really willing to help the people at the bottom and even the indigenous people. What's more, there are a large number of children with various disabilities. No welfare institution dares to accept them because they will be dragged down."

Joyce knew that these were all facts. If he hadn't encountered it, he would probably just listen to it as a story. But now that he had witnessed it with his own eyes, he also had the ability to take care of it and pretend.

He could do it by turning a blind eye, but he didn't want to...

This world is crazy enough, and the end of the world is only twenty years away. Shouldn't we give these children a chance to live until then?

I am not a god yet... Joyce finally made a decision: "I will personally donate a thousand pounds to a welfare institution that is willing to accept this group of poor children."

"Master is kind."

Mr. Hunter praised, and then said no more.

…………

It was eight o'clock in the evening, late at night, but no one was quiet.

There are no police officers in the nearby neighborhoods to drive away unidentified people. Many workers who have worked hard all day are walking home tiredly, homeless people, beggars...the roads are full of low-class people who have lost hope.

Former adventurer Pablo was among them, and his thoughts were uncontrollable.

During his time as an adventurer, he had been prosperous and confident, but since all his companions died and he was left alone to survive, he began to languish, drinking and numbing himself all day long.

I heard Barron's story by chance, and I don't know if it was because of my conscience or some other reason, but I suddenly cheered up and regained my former passion and dreams.

However, he was very doubtful about Joyce's confidence. He didn't think that only two or three people could defeat an entire gang... However, he still came as requested.

Joyce did find helpers, two of them, Gattuso and Holker... They looked very powerful, but there was still a huge gap in strength between them. How to fight... Pablo was extremely worried.

"Master, please give me something to eat. I haven't eaten in three days."

A short little boy came around, shouting and pulling on his sleeves.

"Get away!"

Pablo shouted sharply and drove the boy away.

Then he explained softly to Joyce who was walking beside him: "At this time, there are gang members nearby watching, so we can't attract their attention for the time being."

Joyce nodded to express his understanding. He noticed that the boy just now had suffered a serious injury to his left eye and was already blind.

On this street, there are many beggars who are thin and short and dressed in rags, and they are very skilled in begging.

They don't ask for money from people who look numb and tired, but from passers-by who look straight ahead and have healthy complexions while walking.

Those who came up to ask for money were all children with sound limbs. Once someone showed kindness, several children would come around and lead passers-by to see the children with disabled limbs lying on the ground, trying to get more kindness...

…kindness measured in money.

"Those two men over there are gang members." Former adventurer Pablo pointed out.

Joyce looked towards the nine o'clock direction. There were two men standing in the corner, talking and laughing, and looking towards the street from time to time.

It was past nine o'clock when the number of pedestrians on the road became sparse. The two men walked to the street with serious faces and issued instructions, while the begging children consciously supported each other and were driven away from the street.

Joyce and a group of five people followed closely behind. The gang members were very vigilant and did not notice anyone following them at all.

Finally, the group of children walked into a dilapidated two-story building.

After that, more and more children were brought back here. At a rough look, there were at least hundreds of them.

"We'll go in and rescue the children, and you can just stay outside to help."

Seeing that the time was almost up, Joyce turned to the former adventurer Pablo and told the battle plan.

Speaking of it as a battle plan, it all praises these unqualified gangsters. To put it simply, it should be that if I get in, the other side will not.

If it weren't for the purpose of allowing these gang members to gather the children together so that they would not have to search for them one by one, Joyce would have taken action during the day.

But Pablo was very surprised by this: "I am not a coward, and one more person will give me more strength. The gangsters inside have guns, so they are not so easy to deal with!"

Joyce was unimpressed and explained:

"I know, that's why we need you to look out outside. If there is any unexpected situation, you can notify us in time. In this way, even if it fails this time, casualties can be avoided so that we can continue the rescue next time."

Former adventurer Pablo was still dubious, but Joyce's confidence and authority forced him to give in and agree to the plan.

Joyce turned his head, looked at the three Hunters, left the hiding place, and walked towards the two-story building opposite without any concealment.

They say they are just a mob, they all praise this group of gangsters, but they don’t even have a guard to guard the gate, and their base base is not defended at all!

Maybe it's because they think no one will come here to cause trouble... That's right, who would sacrifice their lives for unrelated children!

Unfortunately, they met Joyce, a "fool".

All the way to the gate, Joyce and the others were not discovered, let alone encountered any obstruction...

Already able to hear the noise and pleasantries inside, Gattuso stepped forward and knocked on the door.

The sound in the house suddenly became quieter. Soon someone opened the door. It was a strange man with a sinister face and a strong smell of alcohol when he spoke:

"Who are you and what do you do?"

Gattuso sneered: "I'm coming to see your boss to discuss a business deal."

The man opened his eyes and looked at Joyce and the others. He didn't recognize them at all and cursed:

"Who do you think you are? If you want to see the boss, go see the boss. Get out of here!"

Gattuso's face was sprayed with spit foam, he gently wiped it off and said with a ferocious smile:

"I'm your grandpa!"

Then he kicked the drunken man in with a vicious kick.
