The Natural Empire of the Oceanic Dragon

#24 - Love, Hate, and Resentment (Seeking Follow-up Reading)

Now that the Gourmet Illusion was indeed feasible, Atilan intended to add some personal touches.

The half-goat, who had just woken up after the illusion dissipated, frowned and asked with difficulty after hearing Atilan's requirements for the illusion's effects:

"Why do you want to focus on the honey? This dish is snake soup, the highlight is the snake meat. Emphasizing the honey is putting the cart before the horse! I absolutely disagree!"

"I'll lend you Nightfall for research for one day."

The half-goat raised his head, filled with righteousness.

"As a chef, one must have their own professional pursuits and beliefs!"

"Two days!"

"I will not agree."

"Let the goddess's face change with his thoughts into the person he believes her to be. That's more natural. It's what he thinks, not what we force into his mind, so he won't resist."

After finishing the spell, seeing Atilan holding the pottery jar preparing to leave, the half-goat curiously asked:

"Who exactly are you trying to win over with this enchanted honey snake soup? And who is it that actually got you to help them pursue their sweetheart?"

Atilan said seriously:

"Don't ask what you shouldn't ask. The most important thing for Wanderers is to restrain their curiosity, otherwise they'll end up killing themselves while running maps sooner or later."

"Running maps?"

"Running from one place on the map to another is running maps. The journey of life is actually just running maps with tasks, one after another."

The half-goat didn't think such philosophical words should come from the mouth of a dragon like Atilan, whose eyes were only filled with money and calculations. It simply lowered the tone of the sentence.

Atilan flew away, and the half-goat began to wrestle with the fourth pot of snake soup, trying to add and subtract to concoct a perfect recipe.

Atilan's enhanced snake soup was naturally prepared for the Bearman. He couldn't wait to see the Bearman make a fool of himself!

To ensure the harmony of the snake soup as much as possible, he had the half-goat highlight the fragrance of a hundred flowers in the honey, invisibly adding a flavor to the snake soup.

"Master, look what good stuff I've brought you back again!"

The Bearman walked out of the tree hole with a huff, looking at Atilan unhappily. He hadn't settled the score with Atilan about the bread problem yet!

"Magical cuisine, honey snake soup!"

The Bearman leaned in to look at the magical light, confirming that it was indeed magical cuisine, and looked at Atilan with slight surprise. He didn't expect his apprentice to create such high-end cuisine so quickly.

"Then I must try it."

First, a mouthful of snake soup, very fresh and sweet, but…

"Why is there a floral fragrance?"

"Master, try the snake meat."

His teeth tore open the snake meat, and the honey locked inside instantly exploded. In an instant, the Bearman seemed to see a beautiful woman surrounded by a hundred flowers descending from the sky, circling him once before returning to the distant horizon.

For some reason, his heart suddenly felt a trance, and he inadvertently recalled his youthful student days.

Although he inherited the School of Life from the Ocean Wyrm, he had also been sent by his master to other Druid masters to learn unique insights from different Druid factions.

Compared to other Druid masters who studied animal transformation, plant control, and elemental shaping, the School of Life, which specialized in the nurturing of life, was so inconspicuous.

And Jaina was the most dazzling rose among the Druids who were gathered to study, beautiful and moving, yet full of thorns!

Jaina of the School of Plants loved the thorny roses she cultivated, combining a series of attack effects such as charm, confinement, toxins, bloodsucking, physical thorns, and energy petal attacks.

No young Druid could resist the temptation of the Rose's Taboo.

Except for Gai'ogae!

He, who was at the bottom of the class when he entered, gained an in-depth understanding of the components of nature by virtue of the characteristics of the School of Life. He was not good at attacking, but he could resolve attacks.

And the School of Life endowed him, who was already a werebear, with more tenacious vitality. At the same time, the spells of the School of Life one by one cracked the effects of Jaina's thorny roses.

Making the 'Big Dumb Bear' in everyone's mouth successfully attract Jaina's attention.

Because he was stupid and stubborn, he simply didn't understand Jaina's little thoughts, simply thinking that Jaina wanted to discuss with him how to cultivate more excellent thorny roses.

Until the end of the training camp, Gai'ogae foolishly returned to the forest of the School of Life.

"At that time, your grandmaster was very angry. So many young Druids of the same generation brought their partners home, but I was still alone."

"I didn't expect Jaina to visit our forest."

Atilan nodded thoughtfully.

"What happened then?"

The sound of the spoon scraping at the bottom of the pottery jar instantly woke the Bearman up. He immediately realized how much he had said that he shouldn't have said.

"Later, my apprentice put a spell in my soup. I beat this apprentice severely and warned him not to say what he shouldn't say. What do you think of this story?"

Looking at the killing intent fluctuating in the Bearman's eyes, Atilan turned around and wanted to run.

Unfortunately, his tail was too long and was grabbed by the Bearman and dragged back.

After a beating, the Bearman was still somewhat gratified. He was so easily caught by Atilan's preset spell. He hadn't fallen so quickly when facing Jaina's thorny rose temptation back then.

A very ingenious idea. This kind of environment that complements the food will definitely create a new school of magical chefs, which can barely be considered a branch of the School of Life.

The Bearman scratched his chin. He then realized that he didn't seem to have taught Atilan the School of Life's unique skills yet.

"Atilan, do you know what the biggest characteristic of the School of Life is?"

"Is it life?"

The school is called the School of Life, and you answer 'life.' If it was called the School of Plants, wouldn't you answer 'plants?'" The Bearman didn't approve of this kind of glib answer.

Atilan's eyes rolled. Since it was a school inherited from the Ocean Wyrm, then…

"Is it vitality!?"

"That's right, the biggest characteristic of the School of Life is to transform all the magic in nature into one's own vitality. If this skill is learned to a high level, as long as you aren't instantly killed, you can recover from injuries."

"Of course, if you are hit by a spell that restricts life recovery, you need to remove the negative effects first."

An undying passive skill, Atilan was instantly tempted.

"You know what to say and what not to say, right?"

"Master, rest assured, I have the tightest mouth!"

The Bearman nodded in satisfaction, and scattered flickers of light gathered towards his body from all around.

"Very good, I will now impart to you the first mystery of the School of Life, Vitality Reserve!"
