The Plane Merchant of Hogwarts

Chapter 231 New Rules for the Goblet of Fire

Sirius was like the master of ceremonies at an award ceremony, wearing a decent suit and combing his long flowing hair neatly back.

At this moment, he was walking towards Dumbledore with a smile on his face, holding a large wooden box inlaid with jewels in his hand. The box looked very old.

The classmates watched with fascination, discussed with interest, and all guessed what was inside.

Rolf even heard many little witches discussing issues such as "Mr. Black seems to be more handsome tonight".

After Professor Dumbledore nodded his thanks to Sirius, he cleared his throat and said:

"The specific events of this year's warrior competition may be different from those in the past. This is also an innovation made by our British Ministry of Magic!

This year we will conduct all competitions in a virtual arena, and students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang may not know much about this technology.

We have specially contacted the Owl Magic Company and opened a magic watch branch in Hogsmeade Village. The next few days will be a time for everyone to become familiar with this technology.

But you don’t need to worry too much. In my opinion, you young people must be able to accept it easily, because old people like me have to play a plate of Wizard Glory every day!”

After saying that, the little wizards at Hogwarts all laughed, while the students from the other two schools were thinking about what wizard glory is? Is using a board as a unit like wizard chess?

"Of course, this resolution was carefully reviewed by Mr. Crouch and Mr. Bagman, so you don't have to worry about fairness at all, because even our students have not used this new technology..."

Dumbledore said impassionedly as Sirius carefully placed the box on the table in front of him.

When the young wizards below heard that it was a new technology that they had never seen before, many of them showed interest. They wondered whether these new technologies would be used in Heroes of Glory in the future?

"They also thoughtfully made many necessary arrangements for each project. There are three projects in total, which are carried out at different times throughout the school year. They will test the warriors in many different aspects...

Such as testing their talent in magic, their courage, their reasoning ability, logical ability, and of course, their ability to overcome danger."

After hearing the last sentence, the auditorium became silent, and it seemed that everyone stopped breathing.

"As you already know, there will be three warriors participating in the competition, but the rules this year will be different. The three warriors will form their own warrior teams to face problems together!" Dumbledore continued to say calmly.

"They will each represent a participating school, and we will also rate them based on the quality of each competition event they complete. After the three events, the warrior with the highest score will win the Triwizard Cup.

The person responsible for selecting the warriors is a fair selector, and it is the Goblet of Fire." At this point, Dumbledore pulled out his wand and tapped the lid of the box three times.

The lid slowly creaked open, and Dumbledore reached in and pulled out a large, roughly carved wooden goblet.

The cup itself was unremarkable at all, but it was filled with dancing blue-white flames.

Dumbledore closed the box and placed the cup on the lid so that everyone in the Great Hall could clearly see it.

"Every student who wants to be a champion must write his name and school name on a piece of parchment and throw it into this goblet," Dumbledore said.

"Those who are interested in becoming warriors can sign up within twenty-four hours. Tomorrow night, which is Halloween night, the Goblet will select the names of the three students it thinks best represent the three schools.

Tonight, the goblet will be placed in the hall, where all students who are willing to participate in the election will have access to it.

Finally, I would like to remind every student who wants to participate in the election to note that this competition is not a child's play, and you must not participate rashly.

Although we have worked very hard to reduce the risk of the game, there is one undisputed fact that... magic is not a safe thing.

Once a warrior is chosen by the Goblet of Fire, he must see the game through to the end.

Whoever puts his or her name into the cup actually forms a magical contract that must be abided by.

Once you become a warrior, you are not allowed to change your mind, even if you have to pay for it with your life! Of course, I don’t think anyone will pay for it in this year’s Goblet of Fire?

Therefore, please think twice before you put your name in the cup and make sure you are truly committed to the competition.

Okay, I think it's time for everyone to go to bed. I wish you all a good night, and I hope that the distinguished guests from afar can have a wonderful night at Hogwarts."

After Professor Dumbledore finished speaking, the students, led by their respective prefects, walked through the auditorium and towards the two doors leading to the foyer.

Many young wizards are discussing where wizards from other schools will sleep tonight, and many young wizards who still have empty beds in their dormitories firmly believe that they may have a new roommate.

However, his question was answered almost immediately. When the Durmstrang students walked to the Hufflepuff table, they saw Karkaroff hurriedly walked up to his students.

"Okay, everyone, let's go back to the boat." He said, "Victor, how are you feeling? Are you full? Do you want me to send someone to bring some warm wine from the kitchen?"

Krum shook his head and put on the fur cloak again without saying anything.

But when Durmstrang's students walked into the foyer, they found their dean standing there motionless, looking at a boy.

The little wizards at the back didn't know what was going on, and they all stretched their heads to see if there was a fight in front of them.

"Professor Karkaroff, what are you doing standing here?" Rolf heard Professor McGonagall's voice from behind.

"He...is this boy...?" Karkaroff's eyes slowly moved to Harry's face, staring at the scar.

Then Durmstrang's students saw their dean's face suddenly turn pale, revealing a terrifying expression of anger and fear.

"Yes, this is Mr. Harry Potter. Do you have any objections?" Snape, the big bat, pushed aside the crowd and walked to Harry, vaguely looking like he was protecting him behind him.

Professor Karkaroff didn't say anything else. He just glanced at Professor Snape in surprise, then waved and walked away with his students.

Rolf suddenly thought of something and quickly turned around to look for Professor Moody. Shouldn't it be Professor Moody mocking Karkaroff?

Also, why is the part about Malfoy turning into white glaze missing? Could it be that I remembered the wrong time?
