The Plane Merchant of Hogwarts

Chapter 36 Hagrid's Dragon Egg

Rolf was preparing to run around the Black Lake every day to increase the progress of unlocking his physical fitness, and Malfoy was preparing to run with him.

Although he didn't know why Rolf was running every day, looking at his growing height made Malfoy very envious.

But... the two of them happened to meet the three curious protagonists with three faces, and then they became five curious faces.

"What are you planning to do in such a sneaky manner?" Malfoy asked curiously.

"Shh, keep your voice down! We just saw Hagrid reading books about raising dragons in the library.

We are going to take a look, do you want to come with us? We suspect that Hagrid will put a dragon in the level of the Sorcerer's Stone." Harry said with a mysterious face.

Dragon? It can't be Norbert, right? Dragon eggs are not that easy to get. I wonder if I can trick Norbert into getting them?

So the original team of 3 people successfully turned into a team of 5 people. They walked towards Hagrid's cabin and knocked on the door of the hunting ground guard's cabin.

Several people were surprised to find that all the curtains in the small room, which was not bright in the first place, were now tightly drawn, as if there was a vampire living in the room.

Hagrid first shouted "Who is it?", and after hearing Harry's answer, he opened the door and let them enter the room. Then he quickly turned around and closed the door tightly.

It was suffocatingly hot in the cabin, even though it was such a warm sunny day, and there was a roaring fire burning in the fireplace.

The enthusiastic Hagrid seemed a little embarrassed today, but still made them tea and brought them ferret sandwiches.

Seeing that Hagrid no longer only served rock biscuits, Rolf breathed a sigh of relief. He also wanted to keep those teeth for a few more years.

"Why did you come to see me?" Hagrid said casually while eating a homemade ferret sandwich, "You seem to have something to ask me?"

"That's right," Harry asked directly, "We don't know if you can tell us, besides the three-headed dog Luwei, what other mechanism protects the Sorcerer's Stone?"

Hagrid frowned at them, "Of course I can't say." He said, "First, I don't know myself; second, you already know too much, so even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you.

That stone makes sense here. It was almost stolen in Gringotts! I guess you know all about this, right? I don't understand how you even know about Lu Wei.

"

"Oh, Hagrid, you probably don't want to tell us. You must know. Nothing that happens here can escape your eyes."

Hermione said it in a sweet, flattering tone, which made Rolf's teeth sore. Wouldn't it be better to speak normally?

Hagrid's beard twitched, and they saw that he was smiling. "Actually, we just want to know who designed those mechanisms."

Hermione continued, "We want to know who else, besides you, Dumbledore believes can help him." After hearing this last compliment from Hermione, Hagrid was obviously very happy.

As if he had received some kind of recognition, he puffed up his chest, smiled and nodded.

Rolf quietly gave Hermione a thumbs up. Sure enough, only girls who can act coquettishly get candy?

"Okay, it's okay to tell you, but you have to promise not to tell anyone else!

Let me think about it, Professor Dumbledore borrowed Lu Wei from me, and then asked several other teachers to use the magic mechanism,

Professor Snape, Professor Sprout, Professor Flitwick, Professor McGonagall," he counted on his fingers, "and by the way, Professor Quirrell, and of course, Dumbledore himself did magic."

"Snape?" Harry asked in surprise. It was obvious that Snape was confused among these professors. It was as if he was asking Peng Yyan, Wu Yzu or you, who is more handsome?

unexpected.

Why would Dumbledore invite a man who wanted to steal the Sorcerer's Stone to set up a trap?

In Harry's opinion, since Snape also participated in the work of protecting the Philosopher's Stone, he must have easily figured out what traps other teachers had set up.

He probably knows everything. It seems that the only thing that can stop him at the moment is Professor Quirrell's organization and Lu Wei.

"Yes, are you still doubting him? I told you that your doubts are impossible!

Professor Snape also helped protect the Philosopher's Stone, so he won't steal it. Even if you don't believe him, you should believe Professor Dumbledore's vision."

Professor Dumbledore's vision? If Rolf could still agree with Dumbledore's strength, but his vision seems to be a bit unsatisfactory.

"You're the only one who knows how to get past Fluffy, right, Hagrid?" Harry asked eagerly. "You're not going to tell anyone, are you? Not even the teacher, are you?"

"No one wants to know except Dumbledore and me," Hagrid said proudly. "That's good, that's good." Harry muttered to the others.

"Hagrid, can we open a window? I'm so hot." Harry pulled at his uneven robes, trying to cool himself down.

"No, Harry, I'm sorry." Hagrid directly rejected Harry's request. This seemed to be the first time that he rejected Harry so directly.

Everyone in the room noticed that he glanced towards the fireplace from time to time, and several people also turned to look at the fire.

"Hagrid, what is that?" Ron asked excitedly when he saw an egg-shaped thing somewhere. Although he also guessed it might be a dragon egg.

In fact, everyone already knew that it might be a dragon egg. In the center of the fire, under the kettle, there was a big black egg lying.

"Huh," Hagrid said, twirling his beard a little uneasily, "that's... emm..."

"Where did you get it, Hagrid?" Ron continued, and squatted down by the fire to look at the big egg more carefully. It was obvious that Rolf was not the only one who was interested in dragons.

"It must have cost you a lot of money!" Ron continued to ask, he was also very interested in dragons.

"Earn it!" Hagrid said proudly, "Last night, I was drinking in the Hog's Head pub and playing cards with a stranger. To be honest, the man was probably just eager to get rid of it."

"But, what are you going to do after it hatches?" Hermione launched a soul torture to Hagrid.

"Oh, I've been reading." Hagrid said, pulling out a large book from under his pillow, "Raising Dragons for Pleasure and Profit" borrowed from the library.

Sure, it might be a little outdated, but it's still comprehensive. It says to put the eggs in the fire because it's like their mother is breathing on them.

You see, it is written here that after it hatches, feed it a bucket of brandy and chicken blood every half hour.

Look here again, how to identify different eggs, what I got must be a Norwegian Ridgeback, which is very rare."

He looked very proud, but Hermione disagreed and couldn't help but remind him:

"Hagrid, don't forget that you live in a wooden house." She thought about her words kindly and reminded her carefully.

But Rolf visually noticed that Hagrid didn't listen at all. He was fiddling with the fire and humming a tune happily.

He put almost all his thoughts on this little dragon that was about to be born.
