The Plane Merchant of Hogwarts
Chapter 71 The disaster of the centaur tribe
When get out of class was about to end, I saw Harry and the others sweating profusely, their backs ached, and their bodies were covered with mud.
Rolf thought it was okay. Maybe it was because he was relatively strong physically, so he didn't behave as badly as he did.
Since there were a lot of mandrakes on the plate, Rolf even had the time to sneak three into his farm while Harry and the others were busy.
After finishing the pretense, he secretly glanced at Professor Sprout and found that she did not look towards him, but was very patiently instructing the little wizards on how to change the basin.
He breathed a sigh of relief, then continued to pretend as if nothing had happened, and joined Hermione and the others in their repotting operation.
After class, Rolf walked back to the castle with his tired roommates. They were going to take a shower and take a nap.
But just as Rolf was about to go to the hall for lunch, he met an unexpected person.
Rolf walked slowly towards the auditorium with his roommates as usual, enjoying the delicious lunch provided by the house elves.
But after they entered the auditorium, it was really noisy, with many young wizards peeking in the direction of the teacher's chair from time to time.
What surprised Rolf was that his grandfather, Newt Scamander, was actually sitting there, talking and laughing with Dumbledore.
"That's Mr. Scamander, the author of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them"? Why is he so young? Is he Rolf's father?" Rolf could still hear the whispers from the little wizards.
Grandpa obviously noticed Rolf entering the auditorium at this time, and waved to him very cordially, motioning for him to come over.
He walked over very obediently and greeted his grandfather and the kind-faced Professor Dumbledore in turn.
"I didn't expect to meet again so soon. My dear little Rolf, Professor Dumbledore invited me to solve some problems of the centaurs tribe. Do you want to go and see with me later?" Newt was very happy.
Said gently.
"Okay, grandpa, I'll fix lunch right away." He said very excitedly.
Professor Dumbledore seemed hesitant to speak. It seemed to him that a dangerous place like the Forbidden Forest was not suitable for a young wizard like Rolf to enter.
But his grandfather was ready to take him to have a look, and Newt invited him to help himself. It wouldn’t be good if he refused, so he had to say:
"Little Scamander, please follow your grandfather closely and don't fall behind." After saying that, he winked at Rolf.
Rolf nodded and trotted all the way back to the Hufflepuff table to quickly finish his lunch. After all, there were not many opportunities to go to the Centaurs tribe.
After finishing lunch as fast as he could in his life, Rolf followed the big guys towards the Forbidden Forest. In the distance, Hagrid's tall figure could be seen looming in front of the original cabin.
"Rolfe, why are you here?" Hagrid looked at Rolf who was among a group of big guys and asked in surprise.
"Hi, Hagrid, I'm also very interested in the centaurs tribe and want to go and see it together." Rolf explained with a smile.
Hagrid turned his eyes to Professor Dumbledore, saw him nodding, then turned around and led them towards the direction of the centaurs tribe.
After Hagrid and the others stopped in front of a bush, they saw him picking up a horn and blowing loudly toward the sky.
After a while, there was a rustling sound of slapping leaves, and then there was a clatter of horse hooves. They got louder and louder from far to near, and the entire Forbidden Forest seemed to tremble.
The centaurs split into two rows, neatly bent their front legs, lowered their proud heads, and bent their waists, as if saluting to the superior.
Then, a majestic and strong horseman walked out with powerful steps.
He has a strong horse body with a chestnut color luster, his noble head is raised gracefully, and a golden red beard flutters on his chest.
"Welcome, Mr. Scamander, I am Adrian, the leader of the centaurs tribe. I am sorry to waste your precious time, but our tribe does have some troubles."
This horse man, who is full of kingly demeanor, has a loud voice, but is extremely cold and dignified.
"Thank you for coming to greet me in person, but I can only come to see if there is anything I can do to help. I may not be able to guarantee that you will solve your problem." Newt said extremely humbly.
The centaurs have never liked to get involved in human affairs, but they have strong combat capabilities, superb astrology, accurate prophecy, powerful healing magic, and wisdom that is no less than human.
They prefer to live in a corner, and even actively ask to be classified as beasts, but they just don't want to share the identity of "human" with Yaksha and vampires.
Proud and intelligent, they have gone through several wars and hardships, but they still maintain a intact inheritance and a complete ethnic group, which shows their strength and wisdom.
But now, the proud centaurs have lowered their heads and asked humans for help, which shows that what they encounter is not a small problem.
The centaur leader turned around first, and then motioned to the big guys to follow their pace. Although he slowed down his pace as much as possible, Rolf still found it difficult to keep up with his speed.
Under the leadership of Adrian, they passed through a stone cave. There was actually a long tunnel in the cave, and torches for lighting were hung at regular intervals on the walls on both sides of the tunnel.
The flickering firelight reflected everyone's figures on the wall. If it weren't for the large number of people and the fact that the centaurs tribe was asking for help, Rolf would have felt that this place was eerie and terrifying.
The tunnel was a gentle downhill road, and he felt that because of the downhill slope, he could no longer control his steps.
The group of people walked about a hundred meters, and the front suddenly became spacious, and a circular stone hall appeared in front of Rolf.
The hall is almost as big as a football field and is extremely empty, but the walls around it are simple wooden doors one after another.
There is a statue in the center of the hall, sculpted by a centaur holding a disk. He looked up at the sky at a 45-degree angle, as if there was something attracting him there.
But Rolf followed his gaze and saw nothing but the stone roof.
But he noticed that the disc seemed to be faintly emitting a magic wave. It seemed that only he and his grandfather, who had practiced meditation, noticed the magic wave.
Rolf noticed that not all the centaurs seemed as friendly as their leader, but most of them showed hatred.
Although they all had their heads lowered and were lying on the ground, the gurgling chill emanating from their bodies could be felt. They must have been harmed by humans?
At this time, Leader Adrian interrupted Rolf's observation and said: "A few days ago, a strange disease suddenly appeared in our centaurs tribe. Many tribesmen are unable to stand because of pain..."
