"So, we still need to take back our base from the ogres?" Kurdran said dissatisfied.

Windrunner shrugged.

Roger also stepped through the portal, his expression serious as he looked towards the palace.

"It seems those nobles didn't learn a lesson from my stories!"

Alleria asked, "What should we do? Should we send troops over to quell the riot?"

Roger shook his head. "You take Arto back first. Today is a rare opportunity, and I want to teach these nobles a lesson."

Just as she finished speaking, she realized that she and Arto had returned to Black Dragon Valley. Clearly, Roger didn't want to listen to her opinion.

Stormwind Keep, the stonemasons who had seized weapons blocked the entrance and began to attack the palace guards. Varian had no way to force the nobles to pay for the entire kingdom.

Queen Tiffin was shocked. She accompanied Varian to appease the stonemasons out of her duty as a wife. But she never expected to encounter such a disaster.

"Tiffin!" Varian cried out.

The stonemason was also stunned. They only wanted their wages back, they didn't want to kill anyone.

Just at this critical moment, an arcane barrier appeared in front of Tiffin. The longsword hit the barrier and was bounced away.

A figure appeared in mid-air, catching the longsword.

"Enough!"

A loud shout shocked everyone.

"Roger?" Varian looked at Roger in astonishment. Wasn't he always staying in Black Dragon Valley?

Roger casually threw away the longsword, grabbed the craftsmen who had broken through the guards' barrier, and threw them back. Then he crossed the guards' line and looked at the crowd.

"The kingdom can't pay your wages, but it can pay you something else."

"Something else?" The crowd looked at Roger in confusion, not knowing what he was talking about.

Varian was also stunned. He didn't know what Roger meant either.
