The Second Empire of Azeroth
#169 - Crowned King
After inhaling a large amount of arcane energy, Malygos's body swelled, and countless arcane energies began to appear around him, forming a powerful arcane storm. The arcane storm isolated the space, and the guardians' attacks were blocked by the storm. Malygos didn't even need a shield to withstand their attacks.
The guardians' faces grew increasingly grim. They hadn't expected that the guardian dragon they had created would become an existence capable of destroying the world.
Given the madness Malygos displayed, once he completely seized the energy of the Well of Eternity, a single breath could crystallize the entirety of Northrend. By then, all the creatures on Northrend would die, including those who had just been granted immortality by Azeroth.
Immortality only meant possessing infinite life, but it didn't mean one couldn't be killed.
"Enough!"
A soft rebuke rang out,
and the frantically surging Well of Eternity immediately calmed down. No matter how Malygos drew from it, he couldn't make the violent energy of the Well of Eternity move even a fraction.
Malygos was exceptionally annoyed.
He followed the sound and looked over, only to see a human looking at him with unyielding authority.
"Are you the one stopping me? Mortal!"
Alleria was worried, "Roger, are you confident in dealing with him?"
Roger gently waved his hand, signaling Alleria not to worry. He slowly walked towards Malygos, "Malygos, don't portray yourself as so noble. As a guardian dragon, you have fused with the crystallization ability of an artifact. A single breath from you can kill countless creatures. Is this what you call protecting the world? No matter how high-sounding your words are, they can't conceal your ambition to seize the energy of the Well of Eternity."
Malygos brought his head close to Roger, disdainfully saying, "So what? I just want to take the Well of Eternity for myself. As long as I absorb the energy of the Well of Eternity, there will be no one in this world I can't kill. Deathwing and you all will die under my breath!"
The guardians looked at each other. They never imagined that Malygos would be so mad. What had he experienced in these ten thousand years?
The Northrend Expedition soldiers looked at each other.
They thought they were invincible after killing Yogg-Saron.
But they didn't expect such a powerful blue dragon to appear, even more powerful than Yogg-Saron.
Just now, they had attacked Malygos, but the Apxis cannons, which could damage Yogg-Saron, couldn't even touch Malygos's body and were pulverized into particles by the arcane storm.
This was the first time they had encountered such a powerful enemy.
Therefore, seeing Roger standing in front of Malygos, they were afraid that Malygos would swallow Roger into his stomach with one bite.
Malygos thought so too. Roger wasn't even as tall as his teeth, but he could still fill a gap between them. Smelling the arcane aura on Roger's body, Malygos felt as if he had smelled a sweet food, and he swallowed Roger in one gulp.
Too fragrant, couldn't resist!
"Ah!"
Everyone exclaimed, but before they could finish, they saw Roger reappear in the same spot as before.
Roger was here, so what did Malygos swallow?
"Boom!"
An explosion came from Malygos's mouth, and his lower jaw was blasted into a bloody mess, with blood constantly flowing out. The arcane energy he had just drawn was also surging out of his wound like crazy,
and soon filled the entire Ulduar.
"Damn it! You dare to hurt me!" Malygos's voice was already a little slurred, but his anger was even greater.
He spewed a breath at Roger, wanting to kill this human who dared to hurt him.
But,
amidst the exclamations of the crowd, Roger took out a disc.
When this disc appeared, Malygos instantly collapsed to the ground. The breath he spewed hadn't even touched Roger before it was absorbed by the disc.
The frantically surging arcane energy within Ulduar also seemed to have found a place to settle, constantly pouring into the disc.
"Dragon Soul..." Malygos looked at Roger in disbelief, "How could you possess the Dragon Soul... It... wasn't it destroyed?"
Alonaya followed suit and knelt.
Seeing this, the Northrend Expedition soldiers knelt down one after another, expressing their loyalty to Roger. Turalyon, Khadgar, Alleria, and others were no exception. The Dark Iron dwarves were the first to kneel. The Vrykul also followed closely, they worshiped the strong. The Storm Giants belonging to Thorim were waiting for someone to rule them again. Now that a Roger who was even stronger than Thorim had appeared, they surrendered without any burden.
Apart from the Storm Giants, many other Vrykul also knelt down, obviously abandoning the Titan guardians they had originally served.
Freya and Hodir had ugly expressions. They felt betrayed.
Just then, Thorim knelt on the ground, "Your Majesty, your bravery makes me admire you!"
Freya and Hodir widened their eyes. They didn't expect that even Thorim would betray the Titans and pledge allegiance to a mortal.
Just as the two were about to resist, Malygos's body suddenly disintegrated, turning into countless arcane energies that poured into Roger's body.
Azeroth's voice then sounded: "Rogers, you have saved the world many times. Your selflessness, kindness, and courage are enough for you to sit on the throne. Now, I will crown you and bless you, my child!"
As Azeroth's voice fell, the Well of Eternity erupted with powerful energy, and a crown condensed from arcane energy floated out, landing on Roger's head.
The moment the crown was put on, the entire land of Northrend trembled, and the elements were contending, as if blessing Roger's coronation.
Looking at the brilliant light flashing on the crown, the Northrend Expedition cheered to their heart's content.
"Long live! Long live the King!"
Freya and Hodir were shocked. They didn't expect that Azeroth would recognize Roger's identity as King and would personally crown him. As guardians of Azeroth, they no longer had the intention to resist. But just before they bowed down, Mimiron took the lead.
"Please guide us on the front line of advancement, Your Majesty!"
The two were furious, they didn't expect that Mimiron, this big-eyed guy, would also betray...
Although they were annoyed that Mimiron had taken the lead, they still followed and bowed down, acknowledging the identity of Roger's kingdom.
And at this time, Roger once again heard the system prompt...
