The Second Empire of Azeroth

#36 - Dragon Roar in Redridge Mountains

Arcanna Gothos valued promises greatly. Although his temper was a bit bad, he was considered conscientious. While learning arcane spells, he also learned Dragon Tongue and Titan Tongue.

Of course, there are no special language-based spells in the World of Warcraft—Dragon Tongue spells, Titan Tongue spells.

However, Dragon Tongue and Titan Tongue can indeed speed up casting, because these two languages are more concise when chanting spells. For many casters, learning these two languages can greatly increase their strength. It's just that, for a cheater like Roger, the language bonus isn't that significant.

His spellcasting abilities are all achieved through system skills. He just thinks about it in his mind, and then runs the spell according to the route planned by the system, without needing to use incantations at all. However, he still learned them, because he felt that he would definitely need to use incantations to cast spells in the future. Otherwise, how many spells could he learn relying solely on the system's skill points?

According to Arcanna Gothos, there are at least tens of thousands of arcane spells. Could he level up to tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of levels?

Don't even mention tens of thousands of levels, Roger estimates that he would die of old age before he could even reach a thousand levels.

Fortunately, his mage level is only 3 at the moment, so leveling up is still very fast.

Many murlocs live around Stillwater Lake. Murlocs are weak individually but numerous. Besides giving less experience, they are perfect leveling targets.

While B Company was resting, Roger managed to raise his mage level to 7 by killing murlocs. He used 4 skill points: 3 to upgrade Arcane Missiles to the proficient level, and one to learn the new spell Arcane Hand.

Arcane Hand is a control skill. It uses arcane energy to condense into a hand that can trap enemies, or pull objects and creatures. If used properly, it is completely a third hand.

Roger chose it from among many spells because he valued its flexibility.

Killing murlocs no longer provides much experience, and Roger wanted to change his leveling targets to the gnolls in the nearby Tearstone Gorge. But before he could act, Stone Cairn Lake suddenly showed signs of activity.

"Roger, a large force is departing from Stone Cairn Lake, heading north."

John, who was responsible for monitoring Stone Cairn Lake, quickly returned to report. Since learning of his parents' death, John had become increasingly stable.

"Go! Let's go take a look!"

Roger followed John up the mountain and used Far Sight to observe the enemy's situation. Sure enough, many orcs had been dispatched from Stone Cairn Lake, and they passed through the warg rider camp without stopping. The warg rider camp was already empty, with only some spare wolves kept in cages, and a small number of orcs feeding them.

Could it be that the orcs are starting to move north?

Thinking of this, Roger told John to take the men back first. Then, he found a relatively narrow part of the lake, swam to the opposite bank, and stealthily passed through the avenue to the mountains on the other side.

Climbing to the top of the mountain, Roger looked up and saw teams of orcs marching north. After a rough calculation, there were more than ten thousand people.

It seems that the orcs have indeed moved north with their entire army.

Roger frowned slightly, not expecting that despite his containment efforts, the orcs were still able to quickly collect all the supplies. He was helpless. Although B Company had killed hundreds or thousands of orcs, this was only a scratch on the surface for the orcs, and did not hurt their core strength.

Suppressing the displeasure in his heart, he looked again at Stone Cairn Lake, the warg rider camp, and the orc main camp. With the orc main force departing, these places could be attacked.

Soon, he decided on a target to attack—the warg rider camp.

Stone Cairn Lake has a castle to defend it, and the orc main camp has too many people, making attacks difficult. Moreover, if the warg rider camp is still there, it can quickly support these two places.

Therefore, regardless of strength or geographical location, the warg rider camp must be dealt with first.

The characteristic of wolves is a copper head, iron bones, and a tofu waist, which is exactly the same as the current deployment of the orc camp. Stone Cairn Lake is the copper head, the orc main camp is the iron bones, and the warg rider camp is the tofu waist.

Just as Roger was planning the attack route, he suddenly saw a team of orcs walking towards the mountains.

With the orc main force marching north, why would there be orcs leaving the team?

Abnormal!

Roger made a decision instantly, got up and followed them.

The orcs crossed one mountain after another, and then disappeared behind a mountain.

Roger quickened his pace and followed, discovering that the orcs had entered a valley. Because there were no obstacles in the area leading down, Roger did not continue to follow, but watched them enter the valley from behind. After they turned into the valley, Roger went down the mountain.

But just as he reached the halfway point, he suddenly heard a loud roar.

"Dragon?"

Could this be the sealing place of the Dragon Soul?

A trace of greed flashed in Roger's eyes. The Dragon Soul contains the power of the four Aspect Dragons. If he could obtain this power, he could become a god.

But just as he was about to rush out, he forcibly restrained himself.

Because he remembered that the Dragonmaw clan obtained the Dragon Soul under the behind-the-scenes instigation of Deathwing. Not to mention whether he could snatch the Dragon Soul, even if he did, he would face Deathwing's pursuit. With his current strength, Deathwing could wipe him out with a flick of his wings.

But, is he just going to watch the Red Dragon Queen fall into the trap?

Roger's eyes turned, and he immediately left the valley, summoned Arcanna Gothos, and told him what he had seen.

"Dragon Soul!" The blue dragon was terrified. "How could those damned orcs find the Dragon Soul?"

Roger pretended to be puzzled, "What is the Dragon Soul? Is it very important?"

"Of course! Rogers, you must immediately notify the other dragons," the blue dragon said anxiously.

"How do I tell them?"

"Go to the Dragonblight in Northrend—"

"Wait!" Roger interrupted him, "Northrend? Arcanna Gothos, you need to know that I am at war right now. Are you asking me to abandon my troops and go to Northrend?"

"You don't know the seriousness of the matter—"

"Is it more serious than the fall of Stormwind Kingdom?" Roger said with a sneer.

"Of course! Once the orcs learn to use the Dragon Soul, then you will have no hope of victory. Its powerful power can instantly kill all humans."

"Are you kidding me?"

"I'm telling the truth!" The blue dragon said anxiously.

"What exactly does the Dragon Soul do?"

The blue dragon hesitated.
