The Second Empire of Azeroth

#4 - shoot with great precision

"John! I'm going to kill you!"

Roger looked at his brother through gritted teeth.

John didn't care at all. Every time he made Roger angry, Roger would say this.

But Roger never actually did it; he couldn't bear to kill his adorable younger brother.

"Roger, was that fun just now? Did you remember the story of the Train King that you told me before?"

Looking at John's carefree appearance, Roger was completely speechless.

Why did I end up with such a brother?

I blame myself for telling him the story of the Train King in the first place.

[Achievement unlocked: Train King, reward +1 level, achievement points +1.]

Train King achievement?

Roger raised his eyebrows. The system has an achievement system?

He pulled John up the hillside and hid behind a large tree to avoid being caught by the murlocs.

Although the murlocs and orcs were already fighting, some vengeful murlocs might still chase after them.

After all, the two of them had set fire to more than a dozen murloc houses, leaving at least hundreds of murlocs homeless.

John excitedly watched the fierce battle below. He didn't stay idle either, taking out his bow and shooting down at them.

With his archery skills, it was all luck, but as long as he didn't go down there, Roger would let him do as he pleased.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Roger opened the system.

Level +1, he understood very well, was used to upgrade warrior or hunter levels.

But what are achievement points for?

Opening the achievement interface, he quickly understood the use of achievement points. It turned out they were used to enhance skills.

His current skills were only Stormwind Kingdom Military Swordsmanship (Beginner), Archery (Beginner), Trap Making (Beginner), and Underwater Combat (Beginner). In the current situation, only enhancing Archery could help.

Without hesitation, he put the achievement point into Archery.

Three enhancement directions popped up: increased range, increased attack, and increased accuracy.

Looking at the battlefield below, it wasn't very far, the range was completely sufficient.

Attack? Roger looked at the ordinary hunting bow he was using. How much more could the attack increase?

He decisively chose to increase accuracy.

[Enhanced Archery, skill Hundred Steps Piercing Willow acquired]

Hundred Steps Piercing Willow (Beginner): Passive, accuracy increased by 10%.

Passive skill? Wouldn't that mean that every time he used archery skills in the future, he would have 10% more accuracy? That's amazing, isn't it?

Just as he was thinking, a soft sound came, and then Roger felt the big tree behind him fall backward.

He quickly rolled over and saw the tree slide down the hillside, leaving only a tree stump in front of him. The tree stump was covered with green energy, emitting a nauseating odor.

Fel energy!

Roger looked down the mountain and immediately saw an orc warlock condensing a Shadow Bolt, throwing it at him again. He quickly pushed John to the ground, dodging the Shadow Bolt.

John shouted excitedly, "Roger, I just killed three monsters!"

Roger was speechless. No wonder the orc warlock was attacking them! It was all John's fault, that damned guy!

Suppressing the urge to strangle John, Roger reached out and took John's hunting bow, rushing to another tree.

The moment he hid behind the tree, he immediately added the level +1 to the Hunter profession, and then added the extra skill point to Hundred Steps Piercing Willow.

Hundred Steps Piercing Willow (Proficient): Passive, accuracy increased by 20%.

Seeing Roger pop out, he immediately raised his hand, wanting to release the Shadow Bolt.

But the arrow arrived first, hitting the orc warlock's shoulder.

The orc warlock staggered, and the Shadow Bolt flew away, hitting next to a murloc mage.

The murloc mage was startled, and then he smelled the stench of fel energy, becoming even more angry.

He condensed frost elements with both hands, launching a Frostbolt at the orc warlock.

"Pa!"

The orc warlock was caught off guard and hit directly. The murloc mage's mana was weak, but it still affected him with the frost elements, slowing his movements for a few seconds.

These few seconds allowed Roger to seize the opportunity.

An arrow flew, directly piercing his forehead.

[Achievement unlocked: Detestable Fel Energy, reward achievement points +1]

Roger's eyes lit up. He didn't expect killing an orc warlock to unlock an achievement.

Roger didn't look closely, hurriedly putting the achievement point into Hundred Steps Piercing Willow.

[Enhanced Hundred Steps Piercing Willow, attack increased]

Hundred Steps Piercing Willow (Proficient): Passive, accuracy increased by 20%, attack increased by 20%.

Awesome! Isn't this equivalent to having a Might aura?

Should I try it?

"Hahaha—Roger, I killed another monster!"

John stood next to a big tree, laughing triumphantly, with a hunting bow in his hand at some point.

Roger was speechless. Wasn't that his hunting bow? Didn't he just lose it? Where did this kid find it?

At this moment, a dark shadow shot towards John. Roger quickly shot an arrow to block it.

"Pa!"

The arrow blocked the black shadow, which was a Shadow Bolt.

But the arrow didn't completely stop it. At the moment the two arrows collided, the fel energy corroded the arrow, flying towards John with undiminished momentum.

Roger's heart jumped into his throat.

But the next second, he calmed down. John actually dodged back behind the tree nimbly, then stuck his head out, making faces at another orc warlock, "Can't hit me, can't hit me..."

The orc warlock was furious, clenching his hands, condensing a large mass of fel energy.

If this were released, it could definitely corrode the tree John was leaning on, just like before.

Roger frowned, dare to hit my brother?

You're courting death!

With a cold face, he drew an arrow and shot it at the orc warlock.

"Puff!"

The arrow pierced the orc warlock's throat, ending his sinful life.

Blackhand, seeing that the two orc warlocks he brought were dead, was both shocked and terrified.

He never expected that those two humans, who seemed like idiots just now, actually possessed such archery skills.

Even the strongest hunters among the orcs couldn't have killed two warlocks in such a short time.

"Don't get entangled, follow me and fight our way out."

The orcs wanted to get rid of the murlocs, but the murlocs were unwilling.

In the time it took to fight, the murlocs had already lost hundreds of people. How could they not avenge such a great hatred?

Moreover, the enemy was already afraid. How could they not pursue?

Every murloc was a master of easy victories. They constantly launched attacks on the orcs, plunging them into the quagmire of a people's war.

Just as the orcs were in a state of desperation, the human knights chasing from behind caught up.

They didn't launch an attack immediately, but looked at the murlocs besieging the orcs with surprise, and then began to form ranks.

Immediately afterwards, the servants led another warhorse, allowing the knights to change mounts.

After preparing calmly, the knights then launched a charge!
