The Trinity of Harry Potter

Chapter 177: Fighting by the Lake

Krum's wand emitted a red light, and he directly omitted the incantation, showing his superb ability to cast spells silently.

Kano waved his wand like a sword, and a ray of silver light from the tip of the wand deflected the swift stun spell.

Immediately afterwards, a stream of water was pulled out of the black lake by Kano, part of it condensed into a shield in front of him, and part of it formed water arrows and shot towards Krum.

Krum rolled on the spot to dodge, and then pulled up a dirt wall to block Kano's continuous attacks.

"I'm going to use black magic!" he shouted while squatting behind the earthen wall.

"Please." Kano continued to suppress him with water arrows leisurely.

Krum's wand made a loud noise like a pistol, and seven or eight black spells flew to non-lethal parts of Kano's body with powerful penetrating power.

The water shield deflected two or three magic spells before being penetrated. Kano easily dodged the remaining few magic spells.

However, the black curse that failed to hit its target disintegrated in the air, fell to the ground and burned, surrounding Kano in the middle of a ring of fire.

Kano stamped his feet, and the ground rolled up automatically, suppressing the flames underground.

"Yes, it's a cursed flame." He still wanted to comment.

Kano took advantage of Krum's attack and waved his wand to whip up a tornado, wrapping him directly in it.

Krum felt that his skin and flesh were about to be torn apart by the knife-like wind, so he quickly wrapped his whole body with magic power and managed to escape from the tornado's attack range despite being injured.

However, before he could gain a firm footing, the ground beneath his feet turned into a swamp, and several tentacles protruded from it, knocking the wand out of his hand.

"Admit defeat."

"It's not over yet!"

Krum used his only free hand to take out a glass bottle filled with silver potion, with an eyeball floating in it.

After a few brief spells, the eyeball in the bottle burst out with a gray light, ignoring Kano's physical defense and heading straight for him.

Kano exerted force with his feet and changed his position several times in succession. The beam of light also kept changing its direction and kept chasing him.

Krum took the opportunity to take action and tried to find his wand out of the ooze.

The power of this beam of light was very weak, and it would be useless even if it hit Kano. But it itself gave Kano a strange sense of familiarity, which made him very curious.

He was too lazy to hide anymore and activated his knight characteristics. The gray ray hit the silver palm directly and disappeared.

Kano stood there without moving, savoring the power within it.

When Fleur saw that Kano was hit, she immediately picked up her wand and pointed it at Krum.

"Don't worry!" Krum quickly signaled to Fleur, "This kind of curse can only temporarily immobilize people, and it will not bring life danger."

"Oh, will this curse make people unable to move?"

Krum looked at Kano as if he had seen a ghost and waved his hand, then walked forward as if nothing had happened and pulled him out of the dried soil.

"How can you still move?" Krum looked at him in surprise, "Are you more magical than an average adult wizard?"

"I have a good physique, and ordinary curses are useless to me." Kano said with a smile, "This thing is very interesting, can you tell me what it is?"

Krum smiled bitterly: "This is not a secret."

"It is one of the black magics recorded by Durmstrang. By soaking human eyeballs in a special potion, and then chanting the incantation, you can emit a immobilizing curse that ignores defense."

"The stronger the magic power of the cursed person, the shorter the time of being immobilized."

"This eyeball is the school's inventory. If the eyeball is taken alive by the caster using cruel methods, the curse's immobilizing effect will be enhanced, and there is even a possibility of direct death."

Krum patted the dirt on his body and bowed slightly to Kano: "I lost. This is my trump card. I didn't expect that even if I took it out, I still wouldn't be able to win a draw."

Kano waved his hand carelessly: "There is no need to be so humble when communicating in a friendly manner. Do you mind inviting us to visit Durmstrang's ship? Your black magic system seems very interesting."

Krum's explanation of the curse just now reminded Kano of the eye of death of Balor, the leader of the deep sea giants in Celtic mythology.

According to legend, this eye is so huge that it takes several people to lift the eyelids. It can emit cursed rays, and anyone caught in it, whether human or god, will die immediately.

Maybe there is some remnant of Celtic mythological magic in Durmstrang? Or is this magic itself a product of imitation?

Krum was slightly startled: "Is this considered a bet I lost?"

"You can treat it as a friendly exchange. I think we don't know each other even if we don't fight?" Kano smiled and extended his hand.

Krum also smiled, held Kano's hand, and nodded seriously: "I will try my best to convince our principal."

Kano made an appointment with Klum to visit Durmstrang's boat after the second project, and then left the lake with Fleur.

Before leaving, Kano saw Krum also jumping into the Black Lake and starting to practice winter swimming. He thought he had solved the golden egg puzzle.

When Kano returned to the common room, it was already evening.

There was a washbasin in front of Harry, and Ron was holding a pocket watch to keep time.

Every time Harry plunged his head into the water, he would come up in less than ten seconds.

"Brother, this won't work. Are you afraid of water?" Ron threw the pocket watch aside. "If this continues, we will have to find the magic spell to walk on water."

Harry shook his head: "I don't know what's going on, but I feel flustered as soon as my head is plunged into the water."

Kano had a guess. Harry lived in a utility room under the attic when he was a child and was always locked up. So he might not be afraid of water, but afraid of dark and small spaces.

"It seems that you have solved the puzzle?" Kano sat next to the two of them, "You will not be able to practice swimming like this. I suggest you go directly to the Black Lake."

"And the temperature is not right either."

Kano snapped his fingers, wind and water gathered in his hands, and ice balls of various sizes appeared from it and fell into the basin.

Harry and Ron looked at a basin of ice water, relatively speechless.

"If I freeze to death in the Black Lake, I will definitely be recorded in the school history, and then be laughed at by future students for hundreds of years." Harry said desperately.

"Don't worry. Most students won't read that school history, and there hasn't been anyone like Hermione in more than ten years." Ron muttered.

At this moment, Neville rushed in furiously.

"Harry, I found it!"

Harry thought Neville had found something he had thrown away, but unexpectedly Neville handed him a book.

"Ever since I knew you were going into the water, I vaguely remembered a good thing." Neville opened one of the pages according to the bookmark. "I thought about it for a day before I remembered which book it was recorded in."

Kano glanced at it and found that it was the record of Gillweed.

"I want to drink to your memory, Neville!" Harry jumped up excitedly, and Neville scratched his head in embarrassment.

"Wait a minute, my Lefu is lost again. Please help me find it first."

Several people burst into laughter.
