The Trinity of Harry Potter

Chapter 221 The past is hooked

The news of Snape's awakening spread like a gust of wind to both the positive and negative camps.

On the decent side, although the Daily Prophet did not publish the picture of Snape's last "sacrificial savior", it is generally believed that he was injured in the battle with Kano.

It didn't matter to Snape, since no one usually trusted him anyway, and because of his usually vicious tongue, no one would jump in front of him and say anything.

On the villain's side, a group of Death Eaters came to express their condolences in a human-like manner, praising him for his "indescribable loyalty", which made Snape feel sick in his heart.

Voldemort just brought him a message.

"Take good care of your injuries and recover as soon as possible."

Based on these words, Snape felt that his punishment was not in vain. As long as he did not make irrefutable mistakes in the future, he would not be suspected of being a mole.

Dumbledore naturally wanted to come to visit, but what caught Snape off guard was that Harry was chosen by Dumbledore as the student representative and was about to come to visit.

Snape just wanted to say something venomous and send him away quickly. Every time he saw this child, he felt uncomfortable all over.

"Are you really going?" Ron asked in surprise while eating dinner.

Harry nodded, and Hermione's eyes widened.

This year's Christmas vacation, the trio stayed at Hogwarts.

Harry didn't mention it for the moment, but the adults in the Weasley family were currently too busy with the Order of the Phoenix. Even the twins who were still in school were busy setting up the physical store provided by Kano.

After chatting with Cano, the Grangers decided to take a break for half a year and go abroad to avoid the limelight.

So when Dumbledore decided to take Harry to visit Snape, the two of them knew it immediately.

"That's fine, if he dies, I will attend his funeral." Ron said bitterly, "It would be best to have Seamus and Neville perform the preparation of potions on his grave at the funeral. They will definitely be able to make it happen."

The good teacher buried underground finally sees the light of day."

A few days ago, Seamus and Neville exploded at the same time in Potions class, spraying Ron who was standing in the middle all over his body. Now he is still resenting it.

"Ron, don't be like this." Hermione quickly changed the subject, "It's okay to go and have a look. Maybe his dislike of you will subside just like that?"

Harry smiled helplessly, Hermione still didn't understand what was going on.

In the observation ward, Snape was lying quietly on the bed, his eyes open and silent, like a stone.

Dumbledore opened the door and walked in, and Harry closed the door behind him.

Dumbledore made a gesture, telling Snape that the nearby surveillance personnel had been bewitched by his magic.

"Severus, how are you recovering?"

"Thanks to the Dark Lord, I will be able to return to him soon." A sneer appeared on Snape's lips.

"Why did you bring Potter here? Is his level of potions so bad that he needs me to give him tutoring lessons in the hospital bed?"

Dumbledore shook his head: "Are you really not going to tell him?"

Snape seemed to be choked, half leaning on the bedside, staring at Dumbledore.

"You promised me."

"But now everyone may die suddenly. This is true for me, Kano who knows the inside story, and even more so for you who are in the enemy camp."

Dumbledore looked into Snape's eyes sincerely: "If we all die, this past will last forever..."

"This is best." Snape said coldly, "I don't need to thank you, and I don't need to understand."

Harry instinctively felt that this matter had something to do with him, but Snape's whole body was exuding an air of inability to comment, and it was difficult for him to ask.

"Harry is almost an adult, Severus." Dumbledore said softly, "The Department of Mysteries has not been peaceful recently. It is certain that Voldemort is eyeing the prophecy ball."

"Even if you don't want to, Harry will soon be exposed to this part of the past, and he will misunderstand you."

Snape jumped up from the hospital bed and roared manically: "Then let him misunderstand and let him hate you!"

"I don't care, let him get out!"

"If it concerns me, I think I have the right to ask to be present." Harry raised his hand and said.

"With your colander-like brain? All of us will be killed by you." Snape sat on the bed again and looked into Harry's eyes with a sneer.

"Legilimency!"

Harry instinctively used Occlumency to resist, and the sound of metal collision seemed to be heard in the void. The two of them covered their foreheads at the same time, feeling a splitting headache.

Harry is still unable to use Legilimency on others, but he is already a master at Occlumency.

Snape looked at Harry in surprise, and then put on his dead face again.

Dumbledore's lips curled up slightly: "Severus, do you have any other reasons to object?"

Dumbledore conjured a chair for Harry and sat down himself.

"Harry, have you ever thought about why Voldemort keeps targeting you?"

"Because I accidentally destroyed his body?" Harry said without thinking.

Snape gave a brief scoff, but then fell silent.

"Then before that, why did he attack your parents?"

Harry subconsciously thought that Voldemort was just doing something routine, but when he thought about it carefully, his behavior back then was indeed weird.

Dumbledore sighed: "Back then, I received a prophecy."

His parents defeated Voldemort three times and he was born at the end of July. The Dark Lord marked him as a powerful enemy. He had powers that the Dark Lord did not understand and would eventually defeat him and put him to death.

After recounting the contents of the prophecy in detail, Harry felt a little dizzy.

He touched his forehead. There was no doubt that this was the mark left by Voldemort.

"But how did Voldemort know about this prophecy?"

"His men only heard the first half, so he didn't know that attacking you would mark you instead." Dumbledore sighed, "Next, I hope... to implore you to stay calm and listen to me."

Harry clasped his hands and waited quietly.

"The Death Eater who overheard half of the prophecy that day was Severus."

Snape closed his eyes and said nothing.

Harry felt as if his head had been hit by a sledgehammer, and he turned his head sharply to look at Snape, his eyes burning with rage.

"That's when he started serving us."

Dumbledore quickly continued: "He and your mother... have known each other for a long time, and he did not expect that Voldemort would choose the Potter family as his target."

"He came and begged me to protect your family."

Harry knew what happened next.

Wormtail messed up everything, but the prophecy still came true.

Harry didn't know what to do. Objectively speaking, Snape was directly responsible for the breakdown of his family.

But subjectively speaking, he was unwilling to let these tragedies happen, and even agreed to Dumbledore becoming an undercover agent.

Harry put his hands on Snape's neck and slowly applied force, as if he was determined to strangle him. Dumbledore looked at Harry worriedly, and Snape also opened his eyes and stared at Harry's green lips.

eyes.

It's like looking at another person through these eyes.

"You...betrayed Voldemort because..."

"Personal grudge." Snape's throat was squeezed, but he still said this sentence clearly.

Harry took two steps back and quickly left the ward.

Dumbledore nodded apologetically to Snape and left immediately.

Snape sat on the hospital bed and strangled his neck fiercely with both hands.

Until tears flow from my eyes.
