The Urban Dao Child

After spending the whole night, with his sister in his arms, Yang Dao was a little reluctant to leave the little bundle of joy. Dao Yin said, "We will come back to pick up Wei."

Only then did he hand over the child to his mother. Dao Jeiwei was still sleeping, so after pecking the little one on her forehead, Yang Dao said, "Mum, here is the first gift for my sister."

Then he handed out two talismans and the array portal was activated. That done, the couple vanished from the place. The portal was not yet closed and a white shadow also entered the portal.

Yang Dao and Dao Yin appeared in the void, above a bustling city. The young man mumbled, "The spirit energy is purer."

Dao Yin nodded and said, "I do not sense any space shapes."

The waitress was surprised, after the initial hesitation she said, "Yes, I have been to the outer plane for a vacation once."

Dao Yin asked, "Then can you tell us, how the inner plane is different from the outer place?"

The waitress nodded and said, "Other than the obvious lower quality of the spirit energy there, they also have a different system of ruling. Like one family can own more than one planet and rule them. Unlike the inner plane."

Dao Yin raised her eyebrow, and asked, "What do you mean by that, the Xu Empire does not have more than one planet?"

The waitress chuckled but then quickly covered her mouth and said, "Guest, I apologize, but you do not seem to be from the inner plane."

Every Empire needs to conquer ten kingdoms. That is how they gain the title of an empire."

Hearing the explanation, Dao Yin nodded and asked, "Why do I not sense any spaceship?"

The waitress smiled and said, "That is because here the spaceships are just like the jade vessels you might have used. They can all turn into a smaller size. Like this one.", then she took out an inch-long spaceship.

"It is not much, but it is enough to commute between the other planets.", said the waitress.

Yang Dao looked at the spaceship and said, "Hmmm Gate shink rat."

The people have developed a general understanding of what was the inner immortal plane about. The couple finished their meal and then made their way to the palace in the city. After interacting with the waitress they found that it was forbidden to fly in the city sky.

They found a lot of curious things in the market. Yang Dao and Dao Yin reached the palace amidst chatter and giggles. They never came out of the honeymoon phase whenever they were alone.  They approached the gate and the stone lion at the gate stood up.

Yang Dao and Dao Yin smiled at the stone lion and the artificial beast said, "Who are you, what do you need?"

The couple did not speak much but took out the invitation letter. The stone lion gazed at the letter and then went back to the side, returning to its standby state and the gate was opened.

Yang Dao and Dao Yin walked inside holding hands. They found an old man running towards them with feminine strides. The man said, "Guests, his majesty has been waiting for you. Please come soon."

Yang Dao gazed at Dao Yin in surprise thinking, 'A eunuch?'

Dao Yin nodded and blinked, 'Calm down.'

Yang Dao was surprised to see that the people will still have eunuchs in the inner immortal plane and more than that he was surprised that the old man actually allowed this to happen to him, it could be that the person was coerced. However, he was not here for all this. The old eunuch led the people through the gardens heading to the palace.

The Heavenly Dao Palace was echoing with weird noises. The four girls had found the objects of their affection. Dao Jeiwei and Yang Dao Shi. They would use their free time to observe the two girls. They loved how Jeiwei was even able to play the guqin so nicely.
