Ancient Chinese philosophy has a theory of studying things to gain knowledge.

However, the sage who originally proposed the study of things to achieve knowledge did not explain what it meant to study things to achieve knowledge, so later generations were divided into the Neo-Confucian school and the Xin school.

Neo-Confucianism is about using reason to study something thoroughly to obtain its inherent laws. This can also be understood as the scientific spirit of the West.

However, the Xin School's understanding of studying things to achieve knowledge is completely opposite to that of the Neo-Confucian School. Their understanding of studying things is definitely not to study objects, but to eliminate one's own material desires so as to see the original mind.

The new school of thought will not study how the seed grows, but why this food is needed?

When I have no desire for the outside world, will I be like the legendary turtle breath method, not eating or drinking, so as to understand where life comes from and where death goes, so as to obtain the energy of heaven and earth?

Of course, the explanation of the Heart School in this article is somewhat abstract, or that may not be what others mean, but it is more or less the same.

What is relevant to this novel is that among Shang Zhen's group of veterans, there are two people who are representatives of the Neo-Confucian School and the New School.

One of these two people is named Chu Tian and the other is named Chen Hanwen.

So Shang Zhen said that everything has its own rules. If you can study and understand one thing, it can be used as a reference for other things, and they will all have something in common.

There should be a variety of skills in doing crop work. Different crops have different growing methods. This is your skill.

The same goes for the battles we fight.
