The warden who guards the witches
Chapter 267 Letter from the Ancestor
Early the next morning, there was the inner corridor of the meeting room in the core area of Rose Iron Prison.
Led by Veronica's guard, Ophelia arrived at the door of the interview room.
"Yesterday, the 'helper' you gave me was considered a meritorious service, so I declare that you will end your observation period early." Aiden took out a bottle with gray-white smoke inside, "Now give it back to you "
"Hmph, you know what's going on." Ophelia stretched out her left arm.
Aiden opened the bottle: "Prisoner 3005, temporarily unblocked the ability to cast spells."
Gray smoke poured out of the bottle and was immediately sucked to Ophelia's broken wrist, reuniting into the pale left hand.
Ophelia moved her wrist, looked at Aiden and asked: "You just told me that you have a meeting, could you..."
"Your observation period is over, so you can accept the interview." Aiden nodded.
"So, he has arrived?" Ophelia asked.
"I'll be waiting for you inside." Aiden pointed to the room with a cold expression, "Get ready and go say goodbye."
"What do you mean? He is leaving here soon?" Ophelia frowned slightly.
"Yes, we have to go somewhere far away..." Aiden looked solemn, "Let's go see him for the last time."
"What do you mean?" Ophelia didn't understand at all.
Aiden didn't reply, but opened the door of the interview room and motioned for Ophelia to come in.
Ophelia walked into the interview room confused, and what greeted her was a table with an urn on it.
Ophelia stayed where she was.
Aiden closed the door of the interview room behind her, and Veronica, who also walked into the room, looked on, not knowing what expression to put on for a moment.
Ophelia stared, looked at the urn, then turned to look at Aiden, and it took her a long time to hold back a sentence: "What...what does this mean?"
Aiden had a sullen face and answered in a low voice: "In yesterday's action, he was accidentally exposed and started a fight with the Blood Moon Order. By the time I arrived, he was already dead... and there was no time to save him."
Ophelia's face froze.
Then, as if her neck was rusty, she turned her face back to the front, stared blankly at the urn, and stayed there for a long time.
After a while, she shook her head slightly and said with a look of disbelief: "Actually, he just... died?"
"I'm sorry," Aiden said slowly.
"You promised..." Ophelia whispered.
"I'm sorry," Aiden repeated.
It's too late.
Thinking of these words, Ophelia suddenly felt an indescribable emotion clogging up her chest, causing her to clenched her teeth subconsciously.
Then at this moment, the door on the other side of the glass curtain wall was opened, and Kyle Caodo stepped into the room with a camera in hand. The moment Ophelia looked up in surprise, he held the camera and pressed the shutter.
"Good expression!" Kyle exclaimed loudly after the successful capture.
Ophelia was stunned again, looking at her lively brother over there through the curtain wall.
It took her a while to react, and she turned back sharply to glare at Aiden.
"So, I'm sorry." Aiden shrugged, "It was his idea."
Ophelia slowly turned her face back to the front again, but this time, her expression was completely different from before - revealing an explicit murderous intention.
"Are you surprised?" Kyle waved to Ophelia enthusiastically, "Seriously, Ophelia, your expression just now was really great. I haven't seen you in twenty years - put the table down first, okay? good!?"
"I'll fucking kill you!!" Ophelia grabbed the table and raised it above her head with a furious look, as if she was going to smash it through the glass curtain wall, and the empty urn hit the ground.
Veronica quickly stepped forward and grabbed the table to prevent damage to the prison property.
"Calm down, calm down... your temper is still as irritable as before, but I really didn't expect you to be so sad after I died. It seems that you still care-"
"Go to hell!!" Ophelia interrupted Kyle's nasty laughter with a roar.
Then she turned around suddenly, looked at Aiden and said word by word: "I don't know this person, I'm going back!!"
"Hey, you don't get to visit the prison a few times a week. Why don't you sit down and have a chat first!" Kyle tried to stop her, "Hey, don't leave yet!"
"Get out!!" But Ophelia, who looked angry, opened the door and left the interview room regardless, and Veronica, who was in charge of guarding, quickly followed.
"Well, this is..." Kyle smiled awkwardly and raised his hand to scratch his eyebrows, "Are you kidding?"
"Isn't this a completely expected result?" Aiden shrugged, "Develop the photo and keep me a copy. I want to use it to laugh at her."
"You're not much better than me, are you?" Kyle's eyes widened slightly.
"You, my sister, can be considered the source of happiness for me in this job." Aiden smiled, "In addition, she has just completed her observation period. She only has two external visits a week, and there must be at least three days between the next visits."
"Can you be accommodating?" Kyle laughed dryly.
"This is the rule, please understand." Aiden replied in a businesslike tone, "Besides, even if three days have passed, there is no guarantee that she will be gone. You may not be able to see her."
"Okay, okay, let's send a few letters first." Kyle breathed a sigh of relief, "Is it okay to hand over the things I brought her to the room diagonally opposite?"
"Yes."
"That money..."
"Just go to the window opposite the reception desk and deposit the money into her account." Aiden explained to him, "But in this prison, a vampire can't spend much money."
"Seeing that she is as impulsive as before, I am still a little worried. Is this girl really okay in the future?" Kyle sighed.
"Ninety percent of the reason for this impulsiveness is on you." Aiden smiled.
"She will be locked up for another 156 years? I don't know if I will have the chance to see her out." Kyle sighed.
"It depends on her performance. Not to mention the chance of commutation, it will be easy if she doesn't commit crimes again. For now, we can see a little hope." Aiden paused, "After all, the most abundant thing for you vampires is time."
"I entrust my sister to you, and please lead her on the right path, warden." Kyle bowed his head slightly.
"I will do my part well, and the rest depends on her." Aiden adjusted his hat.
"Thank you in advance." Kyle raised his head, "Oh, by the way, Warden, I brought you a letter this time, and put it in your mailbox..."
"Another... that kind of photo?" This was Aiden's first reaction.
"No, no." Kyle laughed dryly and waved his hands repeatedly, "That was... a letter sent by the First Ancestor, asking me to pass it on to you."
