"What did he mean about that?" Ling Tian whispered as he tried to see the passage into the small dimension where he had been before but found nothing, as if it had disappeared completely. Not even the root of that place existed.

"The people I look for and the people I lost?" Ling Tian didn't know what Linqi meant by the last thing he said.

Ling Tian understood that the people he was looking for were indeed his true family, those people who abandoned him on a lower plane and later discovered that they belonged to the Immortal World, but when he ascended that family had completely disappeared.

His family were the people he had looked for a long time before, and even now he wanted to find them and learn why they had abandoned him. Only to satisfy his curiosity and to know the truth, but Ling Tian had no memory or affection for them; they were simply people unknown to him who would only share a blood connection, but nothing more.
