Zheng's poem says: Taiyuan was in Jinyang, where Yao first lived, and later he moved to Pingyang, east of the Hedong River, where Yao made his capital, which is now Linfen.

There is a Laohe River in the north of Pingyang, which originates from the foot of Niushou Mountain in the northeast of Fushan. There are many black winds here, blowing the mountains black and the water black, so Niushou Mountain is also called Wuling or Black Mountain, and the Laohe River is also called Heishui.

After the confluence of the Heishui River and the Matai River in the west of the city, the water flow in the gorges in the Guohang area is rapid. During the flood season, the river water surges and overflows both banks, often causing disasters.

Sparks flew from the stone, creating a horseshoe-shaped pit. The horse lowered its head and snorted three times, and immediately a stream of clear water emerged from the cracks in the stone.

"Wow, wow, wow", it turned into a clear water spring in a while. When everyone saw it, they were overjoyed and rushed to taste the sweet and cool water. This is the origin of the scene of Yaoling in Ma Diquan.

Emperor Yao and his party quenched their thirst and were walking forward. Suddenly, a black wind blew up, flying sand and rocks, the sky was dark and the ground was dark, heavy rain poured down, and landslides occurred at the mouth of the valley, blocking the waterway. Upward from Guoxingkou, there was a huge flood, and the village was submerged.

Yao immediately had people dig earth and rocks at the entrance of the valley, making a hole and letting the accumulated floodwater flow away, thus saving the people in the Guoxing area from a major flood.

After the floods were released, the river was running fast and it was inconvenient to travel between the two banks. Yao decided to build a stone bridge on the river and asked that it be completed within three days. Everyone had to work day and night. It was easy to work during the day, but it was really difficult at night in the dark and deep winter.

That night, when everyone was working and worrying about not being able to see, suddenly a red cloud floated in the sky. The red light shone brightly and illuminated the area around the bridge on the river. When someone looked up, they saw the Deer Fairy standing in the cloud waving to everyone.

Due to his lack of spiritual skills and low magic power, the Deer Immortal could not defeat the enemy and cast down monsters, so he could only emit rays of light to illuminate the night. However, he was seen by Ling Feng and Zhao Tianyu who were playing. Seeing that the Deer Immortal had a pure heart, he appeared.

The Deer Fairy was about to go back to the mountain when she saw two people standing in front of her. One man was full of silver hair, with eyes like stars, elegant and handsome, while the other woman was wearing palace clothes, with three thousand black hair, black and translucent hair, slender temples, and slender eyebrows.

She was extremely beautiful and knew that the two of them had great supernatural powers. Fairy Deer did not dare to neglect them and shouted: "Xianxian pays homage to the two immortals."

Moreover, Emperor Yao was worried that the Black Wind Banshee had not been eliminated. There was a hill beside Guohang Village and Manhe River, which was called Marriage Duili.

There is a cave at the lower part of Yindui, which leads all the way to the foot of Huoshan Mountain. It turns out that the breeze in this cave is gentle and refreshing. After working, people often come to this cave to cool off and feel refreshed. It is called Qingfeng Cave.

Since the black wind demon got into this hole, sometimes it makes waves and destroys villages and fields; sometimes it turns into the head of a bull or the face of a horse, spitting out black wind, harming people and animals; sometimes it turns into a witch, taking a deep breath and sucking people into its belly.

It made people nearby restless day and night and fled in all directions. The countryside was deserted and traffic was blocked.

The folk song says: "The Qingfeng Cave has turned into a Batu Cave, and there are monsters living in the Batu Cave. Take a breath, people and animals have disappeared, and the cool wind has turned into a man-eating pit, making the road blocked for pedestrians, and the people have no way of living."

Emperor Yao heard the report and even though he was ill, he discussed with everyone how to slay the demons and eliminate the harm. Yao's mother was very heartbroken when she saw that her son had become ill due to overwork, so she volunteered to slay the demons and eliminate the harm to share her son's worries.

It was the tenth day of the sixth lunar month. Yao's mother held a peach charm in her hand, facing the East China Sea and worshiping Lingfeng with sincerity.

Ling Feng sensed it, and immediately a ray of light came towards Qingdu. Qingdu caught it, but it was a jade talisman that shimmered with golden light.

One of the golden flames is swaying, but there is no heat at all on the outside. A three-legged golden crow image surrounds the whole body of the jade talisman, which is mysterious and magnificent.

Qingdu took three deep breaths, turned to the entrance of the cave, and put the jade talisman on the entrance of the cave. However, he saw traces of the sun essence being attracted and restrained by the jade talisman, and went into the cave. Qingdu was not worried, and waited at the entrance of the cave day and night for three months.

Strangely enough, the black wind demon never dared to come out to cause trouble again. Later, news came from the Huoshan area that a black wind rushed out of the cave entrance at the foot of Huoshan Mountain and disappeared into nothing.

From then on, Batu Caves resumed its name as Qingfeng Caves, and people who escaped returned to their homes one after another.

Emperor Yao's mother said goodbye to the people and wanted to return to Pingyang. Men, women and children from dozens of miles around came and knelt on the ground, begging the old man to stay for a while, and everyone tried their best to repay their kindness.

Yao's mother decided to stay for a few days and enjoy the happiness with the people.

The people happily called Yao's mother as Yaogu, renamed Marriage Village as Gudli, and built a "Yaogu Temple". On the 10th day of June every year, people from all the surrounding villages offered sacrifices, sang and danced, and commemorated Yao's mother's kindness and emperor Yao forever.

They also rode horses to watch the songs and dances regularly, and dismounted their horses and walked five miles away from the temple. Later generations called this village Xiamazhuang, and the stone where the horses were tied was called a horse hitch.

When Yao was emperor, the world was invaded by floods.

"Tangtang floods cut across the mountains and rivers, sweeping the hills and mountains, and the wine sky." The water is so powerful that it rushes and roars, submerging the hills and rushing high, harming the world and making people uneasy.

Yao consulted the leaders of the princes in the Four Mountains and the four directions for their opinions and asked who could control the flood. The Four Mountains recommended Gun.

Yao felt that Gun was unreliable, often disobeyed orders, and harmed the interests of his clan, so he was not suitable for this important job. However, Siyue insisted on letting Gun give it a try, and if it didn't work, he would be removed from his post.

So Yao appointed Gun to control the floods. Gun managed the floods for nine years without any achievements. Yao saw that the people of Li were suffering and this man wasted nine years of precious time and achieved nothing. He was furious and killed him to thank the world.

Unexpectedly, a starlight fell down, and a baby rolled out of Gun's belly. When this baby grew up, he became Yu.

In the era of Yao's rule, all the capitals were harmonized, the people were in trouble, the world was peaceful, the politics were clear, and the world was harmonious.

Therefore, history says: His benevolence is like heaven, his knowledge and wisdom are like gods, his knowledge is like the sun, his vision is like clouds, he is rich but not arrogant, and he is noble but not comfortable.

Tang Yao abdicated his throne to Yu Ji at the age of 90 and died at the age of 118.

Emperor Yao was born in Huangtuling, where Danling is now located in You County, and was buried in Yaoshan, You County.
