The Wind and the Eagle Wings at Hogwarts
Chapter 329 329. Strange Oak Forest
The light on Scott's wand lit up again, and he saw the hole on the opposite wall that was blasted by the spell.
Rambo asked, "Can we get out from there?"
"Who knows."
Scott walked forward and stood at the entrance of the hole with his wand in hand.
There seemed to be a deep passage ahead, with countless thick and twisted tree roots intertwined in the passage.
And the magic fluctuations he had sensed earlier came from these tree roots.
Scott did not choose to step into the passage rashly, but waved his wand again.
"Flocks of birds."
The unpleasant cries continued to sound, and a group of dark crows drilled out from the tip of his wand and flew around.
"Let them explore the way." Scott said to Rambo.
Rambo immediately crowed a few times.
The crows immediately quieted down after hearing Rambo's voice and flew towards the passage ahead.
Scott took a few steps back, used the movement spell to pile up the stones that were blown up on the stone wall, and finally cast a transformation spell.
Under the light of the transformation spell, the stones quickly pieced themselves together into the shape of a giant wolf. The stone wolf stood up and shook, and the body made of stones quickly turned into real flesh and fur.
The huge gray wolf received Scott's order and walked towards the passage full of tree roots at an unhurried pace.
When the gray wolf walked a distance, Scott took out his pocket watch to check the time and followed it.
"The gift was given to you by the girl who can turn into a wolf?" Rambo's voice sounded in the silent passage, "Why did she do this?"
"Do you think I would know?" Scott said unhappily.
Because the tree roots were particularly thick, the road in the passage was not easy to walk, and he had to climb up and down with his hands and feet.
"I thought you would have some ideas." Rambo said.
Scott replied: "Unfortunately, I don't."
"Then why don't you just leave?" Rambo asked again.
"Since safety is guaranteed, let's see what happens." Scott said, "See who made me come here on purpose and what's going on."
It feels bad to be tricked like this, but he will be even more upset if he doesn't figure out the whole story.
Only by figuring out what was going on could he find a way to deal with it and have a chance to take the initiative.
The long passage seemed to have no end.
The gray wolf in front of Scott did not stop until he felt tired, and the crows that flew out earlier had not returned.
"We entered the passage at 10:16 a.m." Scott took out his pocket watch again, "and the time now is 11:23 a.m., nearly an hour, and there is still no exit in front."
He roughly calculated the flying speed of the crows and couldn't help frowning.
If the crows still didn't return at this moment, then the length of this passage was too amazing.
And...
He looked around.
Where did so many tree roots come from? Could it be that there was a dense forest above the passage?
Scott called the gray wolf walking in front back to his side, set up the iron armor spell in front of him, and raised his wand to aim at the tree roots hanging from the top in front of the passage.
"The house collapsed and the ground sank!"
"Thunder explosion!"
Two powerful spells were used in succession, and the passage in front immediately collapsed in a violent explosion.
When the dust in front of him settled, he saw the light falling from above.
"Huh?" Scott was a little surprised.
He really didn't expect that he could penetrate the top of the passage so easily.
"If I had known, I wouldn't have walked so far!" Rimbaud shouted what Scott didn't say.
Scott walked to the collapsed place and looked up. There seemed to be a dense forest above.
He waved his magic wand quickly, and soon, the collapsed stones and broken tree roots turned into a staircase leading up.
He let the gray wolf go up first.
Scott didn't start to climb the stairs until the gray wolf approached the dense forest safely.
Scott looked around when he came to the dense forest and found that there was actually only one kind of densely growing trees here.
"Can ordinary oak trees grow so densely?" Rimbaud said in surprise.
Scott's face sank slightly, "Ordinary oak trees can't have magic fluctuations."
After arriving in the dense forest, he felt the magic contained in these trees more clearly.
Although each oak tree contained little magic power, the entire dense forest seemed to be boundless and formed a whole, and the total amount of magic power contained in it was amazing.
"Where should we go next?" Rimbaud flew up, "I'll fly up and take a look."
"Wait." Scott stopped it.
He always felt that this place was not that simple.
Waiting the magic wand, the stone roots that formed the stairs began to scatter, and waving the magic wand again, the largest stone turned into a giant eagle.
The giant eagle spread its wings and flew out of the passage below, soaring into the sky.
Scott looked up.
Just as the giant eagle was about to rush out of the crowns of those oak trees, the branches of the oak trees moved.
Dense branches suddenly sprang out and tied up the giant eagle like a big net.
The giant eagle turned back into a stone under the strangulation of the branches, and fell from the air to the ground, making a dull sound.
Scott's gray wolf whimpered a few times in fear.
"It seems that we can't break through from the air here." Scott said to Rimbaud.
Rimbaud was a little unconvinced, "With my speed, I can rush out before these trees can react."
"There's no need to take any chances," Scott said. "We're not here to leave, we're here to figure out what's going on."
He randomly chose a direction for the gray wolf to walk forward, and he followed the gray wolf neither far nor near.
There seems to be no danger in walking through the dense forest. As long as you don't try to break through from the air, these oak trees are always quiet.
Soon, another hour or so passed, but Scott still gained nothing.
His magic perception has spread to the largest area he can perceive, but he still cannot sense the edge of this dense forest.
No matter in his sight or in his perception, this strange oak forest seemed to have no end at all.
"I can't stand it anymore!" Rimbaud started shouting, "Even if I like living in the forest, I can't stand it here anymore!"
"Don't worry, we can leave at any time." Scott reassured it.
"Then let's go quickly!" Rimbaud said, "or let me fly up to see what is in this forest."
"No."
Scott shook his head and rejected its proposal and continued walking forward.
"Don't worry, we will gain something soon." He said calmly.
"Okay, but I can only stay here for another hour at most." Rimbaud said.
"No problem." Scott nodded in agreement.
At this moment, a thumping sound sounded.
"Gah!" came the cries of crows.
"The crows are coming!" Rimbaud shouted happily.
Scott stopped and looked at the black crows coming from far away in the dense forest.
How did the crows get out of the underground passage?
Did he find the exit of the passage, or did he find the exit that he blew out?
