The Witcher: Elemental Lords
#342 - Drive away
"So that's how it is!" Dorle understood instantly. The Empire was trying to control unstable elements, and the Apothecary Guild was a suitable option.
He thought about it and understood the Honor Empire's considerations. Joining the higher echelons of the Apothecary Guild wasn't necessarily a bad idea.
"Alright, I'll apply to join right away," he said after a moment's thought.
Allen's face now showed a look of relief, and Singlen looked relaxed. The executives of the auction house also breathed a collective sigh of relief.
They now knew who this person was. The higher-ups were all drenched in cold sweat. Although things had been tense before, the other party hadn't made any excessive demands later on. The outcome was still acceptable. Everyone lowered their heads, relieved that nothing major had happened.
They now understood this person's identity. Those at level six or higher might not care, but everyone at level five and below was within this person's range of attack. If he casually threw out something, their auction house would be finished.
This was the deterrent force of a biological apothecary.
Allen nodded. He had come to support Dorle. He glanced at Singlen, gave him a warning look, and then nodded, saying, "Then I'll go with you."
Naturally, Allen wasn't just following Dorle for nothing. After the others dispersed, Allen, along with McLaren, who had rushed over after hearing the news, walked out together.
Once outside, Allen made his request. He needed some level six potions, and he would send someone to collect them after Dorle advanced to level six.
Dorle agreed immediately.
The Apothecary Guild had already received the news. Dorle, a small wizard famous among the apothecaries of the entire Northwest, was preparing to join Wassonburg. Although it wasn't a big deal, it meant that they would likely have another level six apothecary in the future.
This was very important to some people.
Joining the higher echelons of the Apothecary Guild didn't take much effort. With his already level five apothecary skills, he easily obtained the identity of a Wassonburg apothecary. Two vice-chairmen managing apothecaries attended and received Dorle.
Dorle quickly obtained what he wanted.
The other party wasn't just considering his face; they also had to consider Allen's. Dorle naturally expressed his gratitude, but Allen didn't mind. Dorle had saved his life, and the two could be considered close friends despite their age difference.
After leaving the Apothecary Guild, Allen heard about Dorle's situation and was somewhat surprised. A powerful apothecary like him shouldn't be treated like this, but after hearing about the other party's identity, Allen felt somewhat helpless.
Involving the royal family meant that only Dorle could handle this matter himself. If others messed it up, they would attract the Empire's enforcement team, which would be a real problem.
Dorle had to give a lecture tomorrow, so he had to return early.
After saying goodbye to Allen, Dorle put the Honor Wizard token into his storage ring, shielded it from the outside world, and turned into a gust of breeze, returning to Ellengard Academy.
The weather was a bit cold at this time, as it was almost winter.
Dorle didn't return to his magic tower but stayed outside quietly for the night, then went directly to the classroom the next day.
After finishing the lecture, he reported to Ellengard Tower.
Top floor of Ellengard Tower.
The air was stagnant, the atmosphere heavy. Ellengard's expression was calm, but his eyes were heavy.
After Dorle walked in, Ellengard sighed and said, "I'm afraid I can't keep you here."
Dorle didn't expect Ellengard to say such a thing. A level six wizard, a powerful existence, was actually forced to say such words.
He was a little puzzled.
"How much power can a Third Prince mobilize? Dean Ellengard, what's going on?"
Ellengard looked at Dorle with his deep eyes, somewhat helplessly, and said, "It's not like that. Although he's just a prince, his identity is not simple. His mother is the younger sister of the commander of the Empire's First Legion, and his maternal grandfather is the Empire's Minister of Military Affairs. Although none of them have spoken, the power that this Third Prince can mobilize is very great. At least ten level six wizards have pressured me."
Dorle was dumbfounded. Could things be done like this?
"Then what should I do?"
Ellengard looked at Dorle and smiled faintly, "There are many things you can do. You can open up a place of your own, or you can go to Wassonburg. Anyway, I can't keep you here. You also know that I have no background. I don't care about some small fry, but I can't resist the general trend."
It was indeed not easy to force a level six wizard to this point.
Dorle felt a little heavy in his heart. He thought for a moment and said, "What about the apothecary class after I leave?"
Ellengard curled his lips, "Since the Honor Wizard Alliance of Waltz City doesn't care, why should I care? My place originally only outputs level one and two warriors and wizards. Now there are so many level three wizards, which is beyond the scope of ordinary academies."
Dorle thought to himself that Ellengard was indeed going to give up the apothecary class. If that was the case, then he would just leave.
As for where to go, he hadn't really thought about it yet. He would ask his students later.
Since he was leaving, many of the operations here in Waltz City would be useless. Then he should take revenge for the grudges he held.
Thinking of this, Dorle thought of the Cursedfire Sparrow and Housewell.
Several members of the Waltz family had also caused him trouble. Forget it, for the sake of the military department, he would spare them. But the Tracy family, he must take revenge for this grudge.
Dorle thought for a while and said, "It's almost the end of the year. I'll leave after this semester is over."
Ellengard sighed and said, "Okay, I'll announce this matter later, hoping that it can be resolved as soon as possible."
Dorle nodded, and after saying a few words, he walked outside.
An academy involves many things, and it's too easy for the Empire's officials to target any force. They can easily contain the other party's lifeblood. Ellengard Academy, which has no background or power, is like this.
Returning to his wizard tower, Dorle was heavy-hearted. As soon as he arrived at the door, he saw two people standing there.
These two people were both wizards, both at level three. They looked at Dorle with unfriendly expressions.
Dorle didn't pay much attention to them and walked directly towards the bottom of the tower.
At this moment, one of the two sneered, "Boy, you don't even give the Third Prince face. I don't think you plan to stay here anymore."
Dorle walked up to the two of them at this time, feeling a little amused.
Level three facing level four is equivalent to a three-year-old child facing a twenty-year-old adult. Did these two think they could threaten him with their status?
He looked at the two of them, revealing a calm smile, "I didn't sell myself to Ellengard. What's the difference between staying here and staying elsewhere?"
The two were stunned. What did this mean? Did he not care about Ellengard Academy?
The man's expression changed, and he said, "If you can give us the formula, we can give resources to Ellengard Academy."
Dorle shook his head and said, "No need. You can do whatever you want. After this year, I will leave here and go to Wassonburg. I hope your Third Prince has the means to threaten the Northwest Apothecary Guild."
After saying this, Dorle left directly.
The two were shocked.
Dorle ignored them and walked forward. The wizard tower door opened automatically, and he slowly walked in.
He was very short of money now. After buying the level six mental strength potion, he had very little left. Now he had to make money quickly.
