Chapter 234: The Greatest Unsolved Mystery in the Magic World

Salazar Slytherin researched the caduceus from the book, while Nicolas Flamel researched the Philosopher's Stone.

Just looking at the results doesn't mean anything. It can only be said that the two people pursued different things and finally got different answers in the book.

Salazar longed for power, so he made a caduceus that seemed to be at the same level as the Elder Wand.

Nico wanted to improve his alchemy. After making the Philosopher's Stone, he did not give up his research. In the end, he invented the magic circuit and successfully made the puppet.

Vincent looked at the closed "Jewish Book of Abraham" eagerly,

"Teacher, what do you think I will research?"

"You should look to the future. Whether it is the caduceus or the Philosopher's Stone, they are not the end of alchemy."

This sentence touched him a lot.

The reason why the legendary alchemist is legendary may be because of this heart.

"I understand." Vincent looked away.

"The true meaning of alchemy is to pursue what you really want in your heart."

Nico did not hide the admiration in his eyes, "You have surpassed most alchemists, and your future achievements will definitely be higher than theirs."

"Maybe I will surpass you?"

"Not very likely." He blinked, "If you want to know in advance, maybe you can ask the real prophet."

Vincent pouted, "I don't even want to see him. If you want to ask, you have to ask why it's me."

Nico is not the only one who knows about Grindelwald.

Newt and Jacob, Tina and Queenie, all those who have fought against him know.

On the top floor of the building, Dumbledore is holding a small meeting.

Even after decades, the four of them are aware of the power of the first generation of the Dark Lord.

Voldemort relied on his tyrannical strength to win over his subordinates, while Grindelwald relied on his own personal charm.

One side became scattered sand after the fall, while the other side is still active around the world.

"Minister Osmond von Russell just told me some bad news--"

Dumbledore looked at Queenie, "He said that Vida Rosier left France two months ago.

Her whereabouts are unknown, and the two people from the United States seemed to be in a bad mood the whole time."

Newt pulled the corner of his mouth, "Albus, do you think Fudge is just one of the reasons?"

"As far as I know,

there are many old acquaintances of ours there."

Queenie suddenly turned her head to look at Jacob, "Dear, do you remember what happened two months ago?"

"Victor D. Blood!"

This familiar name reminded several people of a very long memory.

Grindelwald's army used to be spread all over the world, and it was this vampire who was in charge of the Americas.

In terms of loyalty, he is no less than Vida who is in charge of Western Europe.

One is missing, and the other is not very peaceful.

Dumbledore's mouth corners slightly raised, staring straight at Newt who was extremely uneasy.

"The Wayne family will go to Hawaii for vacation after the award ceremony."

Newt shook his head like a rattle, "I was banned from entering there more than half a century ago."

"As long as you don't bring the box--"

"Don't look for me, it's your fault!"

Dumbledore shut up and kept hinting to Tina with his eyes.

"We were planning to take Rolf there for vacation."

Jacob and Queenie both nodded.

"Newt, you can disguise yourself."

"Yes, if that doesn't work, just hide the box."

Three to one, no choice.

But Newt still wanted to struggle, "They won't kidnap a child, right? The Graves family has a feud with them!"

"Don't be afraid, my friend." Jacob opened his coat and pulled out a wand with many bends from the inner pocket, "I will protect you."

"Ah, that's great!" Newt leaned on the sofa, staring blankly at the sky above his head.

Dark,

It seems to be raining?

Dumbledore used the Elder Wand to turn a small ornament into an umbrella and handed it to him, "I think you should need this."

The rooftop looks open-air,

but it's actually just transparent.

Newt opened the umbrella, "Thank you so much, Albus."

"You're welcome, it's what I should do."

He squinted his eyes, "You should be ready to be my lawyer again, I don't want to be alone."

"I will." Dumbledore said solemnly, "Only if I can find a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor in time."

"Merlin will bless you, Albus."

"You need it more than I do."

"No, no, no, blessing you is blessing me."

"Maybe he can bless us at the same time?"

"The effect will be halved."

When Vincent and Nico came up, they had already talked about where old man Merlin came from.

As we all know, the time converter can go back to the past.

If time is a straight line, then Merlin knows that he is Merlin, so he goes back to the past and becomes Merlin.

But then there will be two Merlins in history, and it will cause a lot of time paradoxes.

If there is a fork in time, no one will know that Merlin went back to the past from the future.

"Maybe it was a Slytherin student who boasted about it."

Everyone, including Nico, looked at Vincent in horror.

"If, I mean if--" He shrugged indifferently.

"If Merlin really came back from the future, why would he help the Muggles who persecuted wizards later?"

Would Slytherin students be saints?

Hufflepuff is more like that!

Newt immediately clarified, "I won't help them until I find a way to completely solve that period."

Dumbledore had a different opinion, "Perhaps it was because he used the time turner that the dark period finally came."

Merlin was the culprit!

He was probably the only one in the entire magic world who dared to say such a rebellious statement.

Vincent felt a chill and shuddered, "Professor, can't you see the student list?"

"I'm joking." Dumbledore winked mischievously, "Hogwarts does have a student named Merlin, but he is a Gryffindor student."

Regardless of whether the time turner has a problem or not, even Godric Gryffindor has to admit defeat for his courage to go back at least 5 centuries ago.

Vincent, who was much better, smiled awkwardly, "Is there a possibility that Merlin's real name is not Merlin, and he is actually a student of Ravenclaw?"

Being able to go back to the distant past without violating the Novikov self-consistency principle, Rowena Ravenclaw must be ashamed of herself.

If Merlin is really a student of Hogwarts, he may be a student with the same difficult house sorting problem as Vincent.

As for where he came from, it will probably always be the biggest unsolved mystery in the magic world.
