Chapter 817 Italian Ministry of Magic

Compared with the UK or other countries, the wizarding world in Italy is more complicated.

The 300-year witch-hunting movement in the Middle Ages was launched by the Roman Catholic Church. At the end of this bloody dark era, the church and wizards finally reached a consensus and have been coexisting peacefully until now.

The Roman Catholic Church is a magical institution established by the church and wizards at that time, symbolizing the bond that maintains peace between Muggles and wizards.

The Papal Office, which is exclusively managed by the Pope, also has a secret organization, the "Magic Affairs Processing Office".

The organization not only has specially trained Knights Templar, but also many wizards who have joined on their own initiative. They are divided into departments one to thirteen, each with their own duties, and are violent organizations dedicated to protecting the Muggle world.

Once anything harmful to Muggles occurs, departments one to thirteen will immediately work together to quietly and thoroughly eliminate those people and things.

The relationship between the Roman Catholic Church and the Italian Ministry of Magic has long been inseparable. Although they are responsible for protecting the security of the two worlds respectively, there have been many times of friendly cooperation.

For example, fighting against the attacks of the Witch Party, and resisting the rule of Grindelwald.

After the powerful Dark Lord was defeated by Dumbledore, they united all their forces to drive out the Witch Party and successfully recaptured the Church and the Ministry of Magic.

In order to better prevent similar incidents, the Italian Ministry of Magic moved from the city of Rome to the entrance of the Vatican, which is the underground of St. Peter's Square.

Vincent and Hermione walked into the square, stepping on the ground made of small black stones.

There are a total of 284 columns and 88 square columns outside the square. The marble statues on their tops seem to be looking at the two people, constantly sending weak magic fluctuations to St. Peter's Church behind the square.

Not long after the two walked, a bishop in a white robe came over with a smile.

There was no magic aura on him, but the scepter in his hand was an absolute magic creation.

The cardinal stopped in front of the two, his eyes were particularly calm, "Welcome, what are you here for?"

Vincent stepped forward and answered politely: "Hello, we are from the UK, and today we want to visit the Italian Ministry of Magic for some business."

The cardinal nodded and tapped the ground lightly with the scepter in his hand.

A wave of invisible magic covered the two people, sweeping across their bodies like a search spell.

"Please, both of you."

Led by the cardinal, the two crossed the square and came to an obelisk that only wizards could see.

There were countless magic runes engraved on its front, and Vincent did not spend too much effort to interpret them as the names of the Muggles and wizards who died during the "witch hunt period".

The cardinal tapped the obelisk lightly with his scepter, and the names engraved on its front began to rotate little by little, and finally formed an open door.

"Please come in, both of you."

The cardinal had no intention of going in, he just watched Vincent and Hermione walk into the door quietly.

The Vatican manages earthly affairs, and in principle, it cannot step into the scope of the magic world.

For wizards, they are just guides.

As visitors, Vincent and Hermione walked through the gate and went down, and soon saw an extremely rare and magnificent sculpture group.

It is about 10 meters high and nearly 30 meters wide, and is composed of various human statues.

Some of them are wearing robes, some are holding wands, some are wearing armor, and some are holding swords and shields.

And they are not completely opposite, but stand together in an unusually harmonious way.

"Proof of the Oath..." Hermione whispered the name of the statue group.

In order to commemorate the complete end of the bloody darkness, the Italian Ministry of Magic and the Roman Catholic Church at that time jointly built this statue group in the 17th century.

The two walked around it and took a general look, and then walked towards the exquisite small garden connected to the lobby at the back.

Unlike the British Ministry of Magic, the Italian Ministry of Magic is very retro and stylish. If there were not many wizards wearing modern clothes around, anyone would think they had returned to the past.

Crossing the path of the garden, the magnificent lobby of the Italian Ministry of Magic came into view.

Perhaps because it corresponds to St. Peter's Square on the ground, the entire lobby also has many round and square columns.

But they all float under the huge dome, and some even carry visitors to the office area on the dome.

Such a traditional way of moving is much more interesting than elevators.

Vincent looked at the columns that were still in the air from a distance.

Unlike the statues of the Son and the Virgin on the top of the columns on the ground, the tops of the columns here are all statues of some magical creatures, and they did not examine any visitor.

As for the principle of the column's flight, it is not easy to see, but with the not-so-strong magic fluctuations around, it can be seen that the method of activating them should not be too difficult.

Vincent and Hermione do not understand Italian, so they have to follow the wizards around to a place that looks like a registration office.

There are 6 young women wearing classical short-sleeved sacrosanct robes standing in the long counter. They should be employees who are responsible for reception.

The two walked to the counter one after the other. The tall brown-haired lady was in charge of reception.

She seemed to know that the two were foreigners, and spoke not very fluent English, "Hello, welcome to the Italian Ministry of Magic."

The smile on her face was particularly friendly, "Is this your first time here? Is there anything I can help you with?"

Vincent and Hermione looked at each other in tacit understanding.

There is no harm without comparison.

The entrance of the Italian Ministry of Magic has a white cardinal as a guide, and the reception staff are particularly warm and friendly.

What does the British Ministry of Magic have? The shabby telephone booth at the entrance? And the cold microphone inside?

Putting aside other things, the human touch of the Italian Ministry of Magic alone is enough to kill the British Ministry of Magic in seconds.

When Vincent and Hermione exchanged glances, the brown-haired lady at the counter did not show any impatience.

She kept a friendly smile on her face and waited patiently for the answers of the two foreign visitors.

And she didn't wait long. Vincent first introduced himself briefly:

"Hello, we are wizards from the UK. I am Vincent Wayne, chairman of Wayne Enterprises."

He looked at Hermione beside him, "She is my accompanying secretary, Hermione Granger."

The brown-haired girl was surprised, "Mr. Wayne? The British Wizengamot Youth Representative?"

"It's me." Vincent responded politely, "We are here on behalf of Wayne Enterprises this time. We want to discuss a cooperation with Minister Marcello Fabius Scipio."

"Okay, please wait." She didn't ask curiously about the cooperation, but just wrote a few lines on a piece of parchment conscientiously.

After she finished writing, she threw the parchment into the air and let it grow wings and fly to the center of the huge dome.

Soon after the parchment sank into the dome, it flapped its wings and flew back.

After reading the text on it, the brown-haired girl came out of the counter and walked in front of the two people.

"Minister Scipio is free right now. Please follow me."

Above the dome is an office area with several layers of magic barriers. The office of the Minister of the Italian Ministry of Magic is also on it.

She took the two to an open space, then raised her wand and pointed at a column floating in the air with a griffin statue on top.

It slowly floated down and finally stopped horizontally in front of the three people.

The brown-haired girl raised her hand and motioned for the two to sit on it, "Please, please."

After sitting on the column, it carried the three people and slowly flew to the center of the huge dome.
