Higashinoji picked out the color easily and freely, rolled up the brush in his hand, and applied the color bit by bit.

On the contrary, impression paintings are more demanding on brushstrokes. Although the overall picture looks chaotic, it must have a sense of order. As for why he didn’t choose abstract art, which is something only a master can master, Higashinoji said he didn’t have that ability.

Higashinoji painted the colors very patiently. To be precise, art students actually need to be patient.

A simple analogy.

For an oil painting, you stretch the canvas, let the canvas dry for a day or two, and then start painting again.

After five or six days of painting, or even one or two weeks, when the painting is finally finished, a sudden blow destroys the painting - then you can only slowly repair it by scraping the paint.

You can't learn to draw without patience.
