The original intention of this book was to write a story about tower defense in the early stage, exploration in the mid-term, and territory development. As a result, it ended up being different. The more I wrote, the more severe the sense of fragmentation became. The new book also suffered from the same problem.

The outline has been revised several times and it has changed beyond recognition. Even if I can write the part about the city of the past, it will be difficult to bring it back to perfection later on.

There shouldn't have been weird elements added in the first place...

The plot here in the Old City mainly involves a very special setting of this book:

Trinity.

This setting has never been mentioned, but in fact, in the early stage, when the missionary protagonist learned that the founder of the Abnormal Biology Research Society was Jesus, the groundwork had already begun.

In the Christian mythological background, God has three persons, namely the Son, the Father and the Holy Spirit.

This setting reminds me at the same time of Taoism’s concept of one qi transforming the three qing dynasties, and Buddhism’s concepts of past, present and future.

So my design in the book is: to become a true god, you must transform into three bodies, merge into one body, and achieve the status of god.

The various weirdly polluted gods mentioned in the book so far, including the chaotic gods and lonely kings, are not considered real gods.

The system guides the protagonist to the Old City just to allow him to integrate into the demonic side of Crimson. The token of the Crimson King he obtained in the early stage allows him to open the door to the Lost Land at this time and bring God into the world.

In this way, a true god can be created to solve the strange pollution in the main world.

In the calculation of the system, in the end, there is no difference whether the protagonist suppresses Crimson's consciousness and maintains himself, or sends the protagonist away and awakens Crimson.

He placed the divine side of his being in a lost place to suppress the strangeness.

It was the Blood God who turned into a source of pollution after his death, dragging the old city into darkness.

In the end, the protagonist uses his own abilities and the power of the life source stone obtained in the early stage to create a pure land in the chaotic world.

The demonic side was separated and became the Blood God.

Because I can't think of the protagonist having the slightest chance of winning when Crimson's consciousness awakens.

Although the protagonist of this book cheats and crushes his opponents all the way, it still maintains a desperate tone in essence. I also think it is more appropriate to end with a bad ending.

If it is the original outline:

Of course, in this ending, the strange pollution still cannot be solved in the end.

The Crimson inheritance inherited by the protagonist is the human side of the Crimson King.

This should be considered a bad ending.

Because I originally designed the weird energy to come from the erosion of higher planes, from behind the "door", and the ending will be stuck at the moment when the protagonist breaks everything and enters behind the door (yes, I actually have the ambition to write a sequel)
