PTAB has shown great efficiency in actual combat. Theoretically, if an IL-2 flies at a speed of 340 to 360 kilometers per hour at an altitude of 200 meters, the PTAB it throws can cover a wide range of 15 meters wide and about 200 meters long. During the battle, the Soviet army found that many enemy vehicles attacked by PTAB were seriously damaged, completely losing their combat capabilities, and even causing ammunition explosions and vehicle disintegration. In actual combat, an IL-2 attack aircraft can carry a total of 4 submunition boxes in the bomb bays on both sides of the fuselage.
