Two Worlds: I studied at Hogwarts
#134 - Mr. Magician
The premise for Moon's willingness to grant the slaves freedom was, of course, to ensure they wouldn't pose a threat to the safety of the Old Veteran's Alley people.
Although these slaves had been tortured beyond recognition by the pirates, they were, after all, all adult men.
Moon naturally had the necessary precautions in mind.
After dealing with the pirates on the Crimson Moon, Moon followed Gorde to the Thorns.
This ship, as well as the Goddess, anchored not far away, had been hit by the pirates' cannons.
Although the crew had made temporary repairs, they were still unable to support sailing to the Vina Islands.
Especially the Goddess's main mast, which had completely fallen onto the deck, rendering the large ship completely immobile.
Mast breakage, in the past, would have meant Gorde would have to find a way to replace it.
But for Moon now, it was just a matter of a single spell!
The most damaged area on the Thorns was in the lower hold, where a cannon had created a hole.
The lower hold was mostly below sea level, originally used to store bulk cargo.
However, upon returning to Xilin, Gorde found that many people were requesting passage, so he temporarily converted it into passenger cabins.
When the pirates attacked, Gorde even locked the doors here at one point.
With the bottom of the hold leaking and the upward passages blocked, the people arranged here had initially given up hope of survival.
But soon, Moon instructed Gorde to find someone proficient in firearms.
The doors were opened, and crew members came to repair the leaks, which lessened the despair of the group.
However, the arrival of the pirates was still a huge threat at the time.
The crew members left in the hold were actually not much better off than these passengers.
Having made a living at sea for many years, they were well aware that falling into the hands of pirates was more painful than death.
However, as the joy of victory spread from the deck, along with shouts of "Magician, Your Grace!"
This greatly boosted the confidence of the people in the hold.
Most of the passengers didn't care why there was a magician on board; they only cared about whether they could survive.
But the little witch Chris didn't think so.
Being able to cast magic to strike distant pirates, in her mind, was a power that ordinary magicians didn't possess.
"Did the magician eliminate the pirates?"
"Of course! That was the great Scarlett, Your Grace! I was even lucky enough to have my legs locked by him."
From the crew's words, Chris confirmed two pieces of information.
There was indeed a magician on board who could eliminate pirates equipped with cannons.
And this magician could use magic to lock people's legs.
Chris was quite certain that not only could she not do these two things herself, but neither could the magician who taught her to make potions.
When Moon boarded the pirate ship, the people in the lower hold were forced to move to the corridors of the hold.
Until Moon returned to the deck of the Thorns, a loud shout of 'Magician, Your Grace!' resounded throughout the entire Thorns.
Everywhere Moon walked, crew members would clasp their right hand to their chest and bow to Moon.
This was the highest etiquette for crew members to treat distinguished guests.
"Scarlett, Your Grace!"
Thump!
"Magician, Your Grace!"
Thump!
This etiquette continued until Moon entered the lower hold.
Unlike the crew's reverence, the passengers looked nervous, surprised, and even frightened when they saw Moon.
However, they still symbolically lowered their heads in greeting.
Moon didn't pay attention to these people's expressions; he only wanted to repair this hole and then replicate the sails to get the Crimson Moon moving as soon as possible.
The hole at the bottom of the Thorns' hold was not large; it must have been caused by a cannonball grazing it before falling into the sea.
In their panic, the crew had found planks to reinforce it, which greatly reduced the amount of seawater flowing into the hold.
Moon came to the hole in water that didn't reach his knees and took out his wand.
【Restore】
After the spell was cast, the hole instantly returned to its original state.
"Oh! How amazing!"
"Thank goodness."
"Such a young magician!"
"This... this is really possible!"
Amidst the exclamations of the people around him, Moon accurately identified a different and familiar voice.
Ever since Moon walked into the hold, the little witch Chris had been even more surprised than the others.
【No way! The little ship doctor is actually a magician!】
Chris had never imagined that Moon, who looked even younger than her, would be the magician who saved the entire ship.
"Your potions are very well made."
After hearing Chris's voice, Moon immediately came to her side and said.
"? Thank... thank you, Magician, Your Grace."
Chris stood in the crowd stunned for a long time, and by the time she stammered out her thanks, Moon had already walked away.
However, after hearing the word "potion", the people around her also knew Chris's true identity.
Unsurprisingly, a vacuum with a diameter of one meter immediately appeared around Chris.
Under the strong promotion of the Federation and the Empire, magicians had a very bad reputation among the people.
They were often described as evil wizards who used human bones to practice magic.
Chris had actually guessed that such a situation would happen today, after all, she was carrying human bones on her body.
On the other hand, Lance, who had returned after solving the pirate problem, took the initiative to express his gratitude after discovering the little witch's awkward situation.
"Thank you very much for your potion. I didn't expect you to know this master."
Lance was now actually just like the crew members on the ship, very respectful to Moon.
Especially after Lance saw all of Moon's magic up close.
Shooting fire, summoning clean water, moving boxes...:
These were not uncommon to Lance; he had seen similar magic at the Jinglan City Military Academy.
It's just that those casters were not as fast as Moon, and their magic power was far inferior.
But what shocked Lance the most was that Moon dodged the pirate leader's bullet at the last moment.
And that sentence, "You are a devil!"
Chris didn't care about the way people around her looked at her.
It was Lance's final reminder that made Chris react instantly.
Then the little witch chased frantically in the direction Moon left.
When Chris learned that she had magical talent, she aspired to become a true magic master.
Her family also supported her very much, but unfortunately, the person who taught her magic was not strong enough and not sincere.
Now that she had met Moon, it was as if Chris had found a life-saving straw and wanted to hold on to it tightly.
All hearsay is not as good as seeing for yourself.
Moon had just used a spell to repair the hole that no one else could fix.
With just this one spell, Chris was very sure that her teacher could not do it.
Thump thump thump. When Chris quickly climbed onto the deck, Moon was casting the 【Replication Spell】on a huge white sail.
Without any fancy moves, after the spell was cast, an identical sail fell directly from mid-air.
The veterans were happy to run over, picked up the sail, and returned to the Crimson Moon.
But Chris stood there, her mouth wide open in surprise.
