Two Worlds: I studied at Hogwarts

#149 - Snape's suspicion

Noticing Snape's sharp gaze, Dumbledore explained with a smile.

"I probably know a little more than you do, but it's just that little bit that can eliminate Mr. Scarlett's suspicion."

Snape really didn't understand why Dumbledore would say such a thing.

Being able to produce a bottle of unknown potion, as well as a brand new potion ingredient, coupled with ambiguous answers when answering questions.

These very strange aspects of Moon were enough to make people suspicious.

And at this stage, Hogwarts just happens to be hiding the treasure that that person urgently needs.

That's why Snape had to find Dumbledore to inquire about the key.

"Are you saying this little fool... this student's background is very mysterious, but he certainly wasn't sent by that person?"

After hearing Dumbledore's explanation, Snape couldn't help but be a little suspicious, and he continued.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, I must remind you that your judgment is related to whether our barrier can succeed."

"Rest assured, Severus, no one can deceive the Quill of Acceptance and the Book of Admittance, not even that person."

Hearing Dumbledore mention these two very mysterious alchemical items, Snape had no way to refute.

Since the Quill of Acceptance and the Book of Admittance began recruiting students for Hogwarts, these two items have never made a mistake.

Now that Moon's name is on it, his suspicion can actually be reduced a lot.

"So, Headmaster, you actually know the true origin of this student?"

Hearing Snape's question, Dumbledore smiled and didn't answer, but instead asked Snape.

"Severus, then why do you suspect Mr. Scarlett? As far as I know, this little lion is performing very well at school."

"Excellent? That's because you haven't attended his Potions class."

As Snape spoke, he thought of the countless "Humphs!" he had heard in Potions class today.

"Oh? Did something interesting happen in Potions class again?"

Dumbledore was clearly more interested in Snape's anger, but he didn't get an answer to this question.

"That's not important, Headmaster. What's most puzzling is this little lion. He not only produced a bottle of unknown potion, but also a brand new potion ingredient. Do you know what that means?"

Dumbledore didn't speak, continuing to look at Snape.

"This will give birth to new potions, and even great potion inventions, causing a shock throughout the potion world!"

Snape's voice became higher and higher, and Dumbledore's expression also became unnatural.

"You don't know, that bottle of unknown potion contains many rare and extinct ingredients, which cannot be measured by money."

"There is also a fish powder, although its value is not high, but this is a brand new, undiscovered basic potion ingredient. If its potion value can be developed, then the magical world will have many new potions born."

Hearing Snape say so much in a row, Dumbledore couldn't help but rub his brow.

He knew that Snape's attainments in potions were very high, and his reputation in the entire European potion world was very great.

And Moon only took out two kinds of materials, which surprised the potions professor he had painstakingly recruited to this point.

Dumbledore suddenly suspected that bringing Moon into Hogwarts might have been a bit inconsiderate.

"Alright, Severus, I know that some new things may be difficult to accept, but Mr. Scarlett's background is still a secret, and I can't say too much."

"Headmaster, I came to you not to hear the word 'secret'."

Snape was a little depressed.

He had just said so much to let Dumbledore know that Moon's potion ingredients had a great effect on the development of the potion world, so that the other party could reveal some information.

But Dumbledore was still the same, guarding too many secrets, to the point that he even used the Pensieve, but he was unwilling to tell others.

"Heh heh, Severus, I know this is difficult to understand, but in fact, I don't know very much either. If you really want that kind of potion ingredient, then, as you said, go for a fair exchange."

"Fair exchange?"

Snape was very disdainful of such a word.

Past life experiences told him that there is no fairness in this world.

Just like this time, he told Dumbledore about Moon's potion ingredients, but all he got was the unspeakable secret of this little lion.

This made him have more opinions on Dumbledore, and at the same time, he was more curious about Moon's secret.

There are many secrets buried in Hogwarts, whether it is the castle or the people in the castle.

These secrets can more or less bring troubles to people.

And the best way to relieve troubles is of course a carnival for a group of people.

Saturday morning, the carnival officially began.

Today is the first match of the annual House Cup competition at Hogwarts.

Gryffindor versus Slytherin.

The cold weather could not stop everyone's enthusiasm.

All the little lions were very excited today, and Moon was naturally affected by this emotion.

Because it was Harry's first time playing in a match, even though he had been training for more than a month, he was still so excited that he didn't even eat breakfast.

After Moon woke up early today, he found that the common room where he usually studied quietly in the morning had gathered a large number of people.

Each team member held a pottery hand warmer.

"I didn't expect this little thing to be so useful."

"That's right, at least my hands won't be so frozen that I can't hold the broom."

In the team's locker room, Wood began his pre-match pep talk again.

"Boys, and girls, we will definitely win this time. I borrowed a 'Bong Bong' pottery from Moon."

"That's right, it's a six-time champion!"

"Victory belongs to Gryffindor!"

The effect of having a pottery hand warmer was obvious after the team entered the field.

Everyone in Gryffindor had rosy faces, completely unafraid of the cold.

The Slytherin students, under the cold wind, unconsciously shrank their necks.

Madam Hooch was the referee for the Quidditch match. After she blew the silver whistle, fifteen flying brooms instantly took off.

The game begins!

"Is that your color-changing charm magic?"

On the stands by the field, Moon noticed Ron, Seamus, and the others holding up a banner made of bed sheets.

The colorful words "Harry will win" kept flashing on it.

"Yes, I succeeded yesterday, and I also found the most beautiful calico cat color combination."

After hearing Moon's question, Hermione showed off her latest version of the calico cat pottery.

When Bong Bong saw this pottery, his eyes lit up slightly.

"Chirp!"

"What did Bong Bong say?"

Hermione asked.

"It praised your cat for being beautiful!"

"Oh, thank you, Bong Bong, but you are more lovable!"

While Bong Bong was admiring the calico cat pottery, Lee Jordan's match commentary had already begun.

As a commentator with obvious emotional color, Lee Jordan's commentary is recognized by all the little lions of Gryffindor as the most effective sound weapon to fight back against Snape.

"This is simply despicable cheating! Slyth....

"Jordan!"

"Oh, Professor, I'm just joking."
