Two Worlds: I studied at Hogwarts
#17 - Moon's Memory
Hermione expressed deep skepticism about Mune's memory.
Out of caution, Hermione went to the common room and immediately took out the newly borrowed 'Wand Making and Maintenance'.
Many students were gathered in the common room at this hour; without the constraints of their parents, everyone stayed up late.
Harry and Ron were playing wizard's chess again, and Neville seemed to be looking for something again.
Hermione found an empty seat and sat down, then opened the book in her hand, casually flipping through the first few pages.
"What is the biggest taboo for wands made of ash wood?" Hermione pointed to the content in the book, staring at Mune with a suspicious look.
"It cannot be gifted or used by others, otherwise it will lose its magic," Mune said casually, sitting opposite Hermione.
"What should you pay attention to when using a black walnut wand?" Hermione flipped back two pages.
"Because black walnut wood cannot regulate internal problems on its own, its owner must be honest with themselves."
Mune answered again, then looked at the little girl opposite him, puzzled.
"Haven't you just read these too, Hermione?"
Hermione did not answer Mune's question, but flipped back five more pages.
"What kind of user is most suitable for Veela hair as a wand core?"
"It will choose sensitive and capricious people, especially those who value their appearance."
Hermione's hand was constantly pointing at the answers in the book, and when Mune finished speaking, she seemed to have confirmed something and slammed the book shut.
Bang!
"I will now answer your question just now. I did read this book, but I don't have this enviable memory ability."
After Hermione finished speaking, she got up and left the common room directly. Although Mune was puzzled, he could tell that the little witch seemed a little aggrieved.
"Are you okay? Mune."
Harry heard the noise and walked over.
"Probably... okay," Mune replied uncertainly.
"Don't worry about her. No one knows why she's like this, right?"
Ron said indifferently, holding a wizard's chess piece in his hand.
"Come on, Harry, finish this game with me."
Harry and Ron continued to play chess, while Mune sat next to them and started reading.
......
Wednesday, the weather turned gloomy.
Mune got up early this day. Since learning that mastering magic requires a lot of knowledge, he has returned to his previous schedule of living under the bridge.
This way, he can save at least three hours a day for reading, and that doesn't include the time he doesn't have homework in the evening.
If you add all of these up, he has at least five more hours than others.
These are all the time he can freely allocate.
Mune was reading 'Modern Magical Phonetics' in the morning. He must master those difficult magical syllables as soon as possible so that he can keep up with the professors' teaching progress.
By the time he finished reading the third chapter, his roommates had also gradually left the dormitory.
After washing up, they went to the Great Hall together for dinner, led by Mune.
"That's so cool, Mune. I think you could totally be an adventure guide."
After taking a shortcut down the stairs, Seamus couldn't help but praise him. According to him, his father worked in a Muggle travel agency.
"I think you could also manage the Floo Network in the future. My dad said that this department's work requires a very strong memory."
After listening to Ron and Seamus, Mune thought both jobs were good, but if he had to choose, he would definitely choose adventure first.
Not only because Seamus said that the rewards for this job were greater, but most importantly, adventure would allow him to better understand the world.
The sky above the Great Hall was the same as the weather outside, filled with low-hanging dark clouds, but this did not affect Mune and his group's mood for eating.
Because today they were going to have Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Mune clearly remembered that at the welcoming feast, this young professor was the only professor with two wizarding hats.
Although one of the wizarding hats was so faint that it was almost invisible, it was enough to prove that this professor was more unique than others.
Mune guessed right, Professor Quirrell was indeed very unique.
As soon as he appeared, he immediately filled the entire classroom with a strong smell of garlic.
Originally, in order to appreciate the demeanor of this professor, Mune had specially chosen a seat in the front row, but he now deeply regretted it.
"Professor, why does your turban smell so strong?" Seamus, who was sitting with Mune, asked first.
"This? Oh, this is to he... help... help an African prince solve a re... revenant... zombie, he gave... gave it to me..."
Professor Quirrell was actually a stutterer, which Mune didn't expect.
"Revenant zombie! Really? How did you defeat it?" Seamus asked impatiently, and the surrounding people also looked over curiously.
"This... this..., the weather is really nice today."
"Professor, it's cloudy today."
Seeing that Quirrell didn't want to answer this question, Seamus pouted and looked at the other party in disappointment.
"Oh, is... is that so, that's... good, let's start the lec... lecture."
Mune could finally vindicate History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts had become the most boring course.
Although Professor Binns's lectures also made people feel drowsy, he would occasionally give related events of historical figures, which were knowledge not found in the textbooks.
But Quirrell would only read 'Dark Arts: Self-Defense Guide' word for word.
Not only did the people who listened attentively not like this course, but even the students who liked to sleep in class didn't like it.
Because the strong smell of garlic made it impossible for them to sleep peacefully.
When the bell rang for the end of class, everyone rushed out of the classroom, hoping to get a breath of fresh air in time to save their lives.
"I think George is right, his turban must be full of garlic."
Ron leaned on the corridor railing, panting for breath before speaking.
"No, his turban must have been soaked in garlic liquid."
Mune, who had planted garlic on Yoke Farm, knew that garlic with the skin on wouldn't have a strong smell, and even if the skin was peeled off, as long as the garlic wasn't broken, it wouldn't have such a strong smell as Quirrell's turban.
"Okay, this smell has made me lose my appetite."
"Ron, I think you'll definitely regret it."
Harry chimed in.
"Why?"
"Because today there's New Zealand lamb chops."
"Really? Then I want to eat ten!"
After Ron finished speaking, he ran quickly towards the Great Hall. Harry and Mune exchanged glances and quickly followed.
Hermione didn't come out of the classroom until this time. She glanced at Harry and Mune, who were walking away, took a few deep breaths, and slowly walked towards the Great Hall with a few large books in her arms.
......
In the afternoon, there was another Herbology class. This time, Professor Sprout did everything herself.
Because she was going to use magic to quickly dry a fresh daffodil rhizome so that it would become a usable finished herb.
"Okay, that's about it."
Professor Sprout picked up a daffodil rhizome that had just been baked by a flame spell.
"Usually, the best way to make it is to dry it in the sun for seven days. This time, it's just to show you the finished product. Everyone can take one and observe it carefully."
This class was just about observation, which was very simple for Mune.
After seeing Professor Sprout guide all the students around, Mune raised his hand and asked the question that had been bothering him.
"Professor, are the trees used to make wands considered magical plants? If so, how should we distinguish them?"
Hearing Mune's question, Professor Sprout showed a surprised expression, but Hermione's reaction was even greater.
