Two Worlds: I studied at Hogwarts
#2 - Magic school notice
The carving knife was already clenched in Moon's hand. He now vaguely regretted not bringing his slingshot, which was his weapon of choice for dealing with animals that stole hazelnuts.
But even if he had both the slingshot and the knife, they probably wouldn't be much use.
Against a cat with five stat blocks, even if it was the size of a normal cat, Moon didn't think he could win.

But he couldn't run away, because Bouncy was still in the bridge hole. He didn't know if cats liked to eat black-furred, long-nosed creatures with hoarding habits.
The tabby cat also noticed Moon's unusual behavior. Its checkered eyes blinked, and it moved closer to him with elegant steps.
Moon unconsciously took two steps back.
"It seems you do have wizarding talent..."
The tabby cat spoke!
And after speaking, it transformed into a person!
A woman wearing a black robe, a pointed hat, and a very serious expression.
Seeing this bizarre scene, Moon reached out and grabbed the stone pillar next to him. He tried to control his body from retreating, because behind him was the Regent River.
"Don't be afraid, child. I'm only here to ask you why you didn't reply."
"Reply... to what?"
"A letter of acceptance from Hogwarts. Don't tell me you didn't receive it. I wouldn't want another Dursley situation this year!"
Hearing the reminder, Moon suddenly remembered. He had indeed received a strange letter ten days ago.
A letter delivered by an owl, but he thought it was a prank, after all, he didn't know anyone in this world.
He had even opened the letter, but he couldn't recognize some of the words. After roughly reading it, he casually left the letter in the bridge hole.
"This... this..."
Moon was still a little nervous. He had never seen a woman with such a serious expression.
"You can call me Professor McGonagall."
"Uh, okay, Professor McGonagall, you said that was a letter of acceptance?"
"That's right, a letter of acceptance from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."
Magic school!
Hearing these words, Moon opened his mouth in surprise, and then, without saying a word, quickly crawled back into the bridge hole.
McGonagall was also startled by Moon's sudden action.
"Slow down, child!"
If being called a "half-baked psychic" for four years had changed Moon, then the biggest change was Moon's determination to prove that he wasn't half-baked.
Now the tabby cat could talk, and it had turned into a person, and there was a letter of acceptance from a magic school...
Moon knew this was the last chance he had to seize.
"Please wait a moment, Professor!"
Moon's voice came from the bridge hole, followed by the sound of rummaging through boxes and cabinets.
But soon, he crawled out holding a parchment envelope.
"Found it! It's this one."
Moon smiled happily at McGonagall, holding the envelope as if it was more important than his life.
McGonagall glanced at the traces of emerald green ink on the envelope and the unique Hogwarts school badge, and nodded.
"That's right, I see you opened the letter. Why didn't you reply?"
"I... I didn't recognize some of the words..."
Moon's voice was very soft, and his awkward expression was as if he had made a big mistake.
"I really don't know what these Muggles are doing, letting a child wander alone and not receiving an education..."
McGonagall originally wanted to complain about the lack of Muggle administration, but then she seemed to think of something, and her expression became unnatural.
"Alright, child, I'll read it to you."
Taking the envelope Moon handed over, McGonagall cleared her throat:
London, West End
Regent's Park
Regent's Bridge Hole
Mr. Moon Scarlet
McGonagall first read the address on the envelope. She wanted Moon to know that Hogwarts' letters of acceptance wouldn't be sent to the wrong place.
Then she quickly opened the letter and read:
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster
(President of the International Confederation of Wizards, Order of Merlin, First Class, Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot)
Dear Mr. Scarlet:
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Enclosed is a list of required books and equipment.
The term begins on September 1st. We await your reply by owl before July 31st.
Sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall, Deputy Headmistress
"Alright, now you know the contents of the letter, Mr. Scarlet. Do you choose to attend Hogwarts?"
Moon hadn't reacted to what the letter meant when McGonagall spoke again.
"Of course, if you choose not to go to Hogwarts, I can also recommend you to other schools, Beauxbatons or Durmstrang."
"No, no! I'll go."
Moon quickly waved his hand and looked at McGonagall.
"Good, I welcome you on behalf of Hogwarts, child."
"But, Professor McGonagall, how do I get to Hogwarts? And how much does the school cost?"
In Xilin, studying magic required paying a considerable tuition fee. Uncle Neil was worried about not being able to afford the money, but then he didn't have to pay it.
Now that he was going to Hogwarts, Moon asked directly. He didn't know if the money he had saved for two months would be enough to support studying magic.
"To go to Hogwarts, you need to go to King's Cross Station in London on September 1st and take the train that leaves from Platform 9 ¾ at eleven o'clock. As for tuition and board, they are free, but you need to buy the things on this shopping list yourself."
McGonagall handed Moon the list of school supplies and books from the letter.
"
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
[Uniform]
First-year students require:
1. Three sets of plain work robes (black)
2. One plain pointed hat for day wear (black)
...
All students must prepare the following books:
The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 1 by Miranda Goshawk
A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot
...
[Other Equipment]
One wand
One cauldron (pewter, standard size 2)
...
Students may bring an owl OR a cat OR a toad.
Parents are reminded that first-year students are not allowed to bring their own broomsticks.
"
Moon needed to connect the words before and after to figure out the meaning of some of the words on the form.
But looking at the length of the form and the dense text on it, Moon knew that this expense should be considerable.
While Moon was worriedly looking at the shopping list, McGonagall looked around at the terrible living environment here.
"Professor McGonagall, where can I buy these things?"
Moon didn't know what stores would sell these things. Anyway, he had never seen related stores near Regent's Park.
"You need to go to Diagon Alley. It is the most prosperous shopping street in the entire wizarding world. Here is a shopping guide and a ticket to Hogwarts."
As McGonagall spoke, two yellow parchment papers, one large and one small, flew out of her black robe and landed steadily in Moon's hands.
Moon was once again attracted by the charm of magic.
"Of course, Mr. Scarlet, if you agree, the school actually has subsidies..."
McGonagall had only said half a sentence when a gray and white mottled owl suddenly flew down from a distance and landed on a stone pillar.
"Oh, excuse me."
McGonagall skillfully untied a letter from the owl's leg, touched its head, and the owl flew away directly.
After quickly reading the letter, Moon found that McGonagall's face had obviously become ugly.
"How can this be? The Dursleys actually moved to a deserted island. It seems I need to have a good talk with Dumbledore."
McGonagall squeezed the letter tightly and looked at Moon, "Child, if you need anything later, remember to have an owl send me a letter."
After speaking, McGonagall muttered something and disappeared on the spot.
When Moon reacted, only the empty river remained in front of him. He ran to the stone pillar anxiously and shouted.
"Professor, but I don't have an owl~"
Moon's voice was very loud. He hoped that Professor McGonagall hadn't gone far and could hear his shout.
But after waiting for half an hour, he helplessly returned to the bridge hole.
......
Although Professor McGonagall left in a hurry without finishing her words, Moon's mood didn't drop much.
Bouncy also heard Moon's return and crawled out of the wall hole.
"Chirp?" (First tone)
"That's right, there's something delicious today, but Bouncy, I have good news to tell you, we're going to Hogwarts to learn magic!"
"Chirp?" (Second tone)
"Of course it's true. To celebrate this, I even bought you dried mealworms."
"Chirp~" (Third tone)
"I'm definitely the best to you, but to go to Hogwarts to study, I still need to buy some necessary school supplies..."
"Chirp chirp!"
"Bouncy, that's not right of you. That money was earned by me, and I even brought you a gift."
As Moon spoke, he took out a magic wand toy with a star on its head from the cloth bag, with some shiny sequins attached to it.
Moon found it at the entrance of the zoo, and from the first moment he saw this toy, he knew that Bouncy would definitely like it.
Sure enough, after seeing the toy in Moon's hand, Bouncy's small eyes, which were already not big, instantly lit up.
It climbed up Moon's clothes, wanting to snatch the toy.
But Moon's speed of switching hands back and forth was much faster than its climbing.
"No, you have to take out those pennies."
Finding Moon's attitude firm, Bouncy reluctantly returned to the cave and began to carry out the golden pennies.
"Not enough!"
"Still not enough!"
......
Moon didn't know how many times he had shouted, until finally Bouncy shouted and protested loudly at the entrance of the wall hole, he handed the magic wand toy to the other party.
But before handing it over, he turned on the switch on the magic wand.
Click.
The magic wand was brighter, and Bouncy became happier.
Moon weighed the weight of the bag, and he found that these coins were still a bit light.
