Two Worlds: I studied at Hogwarts
#233 - Senior friendly meeting
The Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, was a short, stout wizard.
He wore a round, dark green bowler hat, a pinstriped suit, a scarlet tie, and pointed purple boots.
After the Minister appeared from the fireplace, several other high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Magic also showed up.
"I must say, Professor Snape, your potion invention this time is truly remarkable."

Seeing that tonight's honoree had arrived early and was waiting, Fudge walked forward with satisfaction and shook Snape's hand.
"Thank you, Minister, but it's not an invention, but a potion improvement."
Snape still looked serious, always wearing the same expression regardless of who he faced.
"Oh, it's all the same. Whether it's an improvement or an invention, you fully deserve this medal."
Fudge said, patting Snape's hand with satisfaction.
In his opinion, Snape's newly improved potion could completely help him write a brilliant chapter in his political achievements.
Fudge had only been Minister for Magic for a year, and dark wizards had already appeared twice in Diagon Alley.
Once was to steal from Gringotts Wizarding Bank, and once they even tried to grab a young wizard on the street.
Although neither of these incidents caused great harm, for the newly appointed Minister for Magic, it was a complete slap in the face.
Some wizards were even saying that the Ministry of Magic led by Fudge was inefficient and unable to respond to the provocations of dark wizards.
"Provocation! That's right, someone is deliberately provoking me."
On the morning of the day when Moon was attacked, Fudge immediately canceled the holidays of all Aurors.
He ordered them to complete the deployment in Diagon Alley within three days, determined to catch the dark wizard this time.
But today was the third day, and the Aurors had not brought any good news.
In order to dispel the rumors brought by the dark wizards, Fudge urgently needed a dazzling achievement to prove his ability.
And Snape's potion just gave him the opportunity.
For a long time, the dangers faced by British wizards were not only caused by dark wizards.
The werewolves who went mad on the night of the full moon had always been a very troublesome problem for the Ministry of Magic.
Now, Snape's new version of Wolfsbane Potion not only doubled the efficacy but also reduced the cost a lot.
This allowed those hidden poor werewolves to have the opportunity to buy Wolfsbane Potion, preventing them from running around and harming wizards and Muggles after transforming.
Fudge believed that as long as this potion could be promoted, the probability of werewolf crime would inevitably decrease, and his reputation would inevitably increase.
"Believe me, Professor Snape, your achievements are definitely worthy of praise...."
While Fudge was talking to Snape, the surrounding chairs gradually filled with people.
Moon had also been curiously listening intently, wondering what the Minister would say.
"Is this your child? He's so good-looking, like he came out of a fairy tale picture book."
Noticing that the young wizard on Dumbledore's chair had not left, Fudge smiled and asked Snape.
"No, Minister, he is here to attend the banquet on behalf of Professor Dumbledore."
Hearing Snape's answer, Fudge looked at Moon suspiciously.
"I guessed that Dumbledore was very busy, but I didn't expect that he couldn't leave Hogwarts even during the Christmas holidays. It's really hard work."
Fudge flattered Dumbledore, then looked at Moon and smiled, extending his right hand.
"Hello, Dumbledore's little envoy."
"Hello, Minister, my name is Moon Scarlett."
"Scarlett, that's not a common surname in England ~"
Fudge said, beginning to recall whether there was a Scarlett family in England and what Dumbledore's intention was in doing this.
At this moment, the witch sitting next to him looked over curiously after hearing Moon's introduction.
"Are you the little wizard who defeated the troll on Halloween, the owner of the Six-Crown King?"
The speaker was the current Director of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, the largest department in the Ministry of Magic: Amelia Susan Bones.
"Um, yes, Madam."
Moon didn't expect that Beng Beng's reputation would have spread so far.
"Six-Crown King, didn't you bring it today?"
"Oh, Beng Beng is resting at home."
Hearing Moon's words, a trace of regret appeared on the middle-aged witch's face.
"Well, it's a pity. I've always heard Susan say that she has a very powerful classmate who also raised a magical Niffler. I've always wanted to meet him, but I didn't expect there would be no chance."
Amelia's niece, Susan Bones, was in the same year as Moon, studying at Hufflepuff College. This family was also a relatively old pure-blood wizarding family in England.
"If there is a chance next time, I can take Beng Beng to visit you."
"Okay, it's settled then. Remember to say hello to Professor Dumbledore for me."
The high-level officials of the Ministry of Magic were all relatively friendly. Moon could vaguely see that there seemed to be a little estrangement between Susan Bones and Fudge, but they were all very polite to Moon.
Moon also met his classmates here.
"Moon Scarlett, what are you doing here?"
As a frequent visitor to the Ministry of Magic, Malfoy often followed his father to attend such ceremonies.
He was dressed very gentlemanly tonight, like a proud black swan, moving through the crowd with ease.
But when he found Moon, he became a little frantic.
"Of course, I was invited."
Moon responded politely.
"How is that possible? You, who can't even scrape together a gold coin from head to toe, how could you be invited to attend the Ministry of Magic's banquet."
Moon didn't want to argue with Malfoy. He now represented Dumbledore and all the wizards in another world.
Taking out the invitation, Moon waved it towards Malfoy, who was sitting in the third row, and then sat down in the central position in the first row.
"The first row? Is that a place that a pauper like you can sit?"
As soon as Malfoy finished shouting, several wizards sitting in the first row turned to look at him.
"No, I didn't mean you, Professors, I wasn't talking about you...."
Just as Malfoy was trying to explain, the ceremony officially began.
Fudge, as the Minister for Magic, first took the stage and gave a long speech.
The content was the positive changes he had brought to the magical society in the year since he took office, as well as various political achievements that Moon had never heard of.
The second stage was to invite Snape to the stage for the award ceremony.
After pinning a bronze medal with a green ribbon to Snape's chest, everyone applauded.
Snape also gave a short speech, and then Fudge took the microphone again and talked a lot about the beautiful prospects for the future.
"Is this the award ceremony? It's so boring."
"Speak quietly, child, Fudge is not very tolerant."
Susan Bones, who was sitting next to Moon, smiled slightly after hearing Moon's words.
In fact, she was also very reluctant to listen to Fudge's boasting speech, but as a qualified politician, she had to abide by the rules.
"Okay, thank you for the reminder."
Moon now increasingly felt that Dumbledore was a likable speaker.
He only said 4 words at the opening ceremony and won the enthusiastic applause of all the students.
And Fudge said so much, but only a few people applauded sparsely, and several older wizards had already fallen asleep under the stage.
After Fudge finished his speech, it was time for a group photo.
"Everyone be happy, this is going to be big news in the Daily Prophet for 7 consecutive days."
Fudge shouted at the crowd and then turned back to give a standard smile.
Moon sat in Dumbledore's seat and completed his first group photo with the high-level officials of the British Ministry of Magic.
