Two Worlds: I studied at Hogwarts
#81 - Start with a simple spell
Although I didn't know why the captain named Gorde wanted to see him, Zalan repeatedly assured him that there would be no problem.
So, Moon agreed to meet him in three days.
In the meantime, he needed to return to Hogwarts.
-----------------
Lying back on the four-poster bed at Hogwarts, Moon felt a long-lost sense of peace.
Especially after Slin solved the [Night Owl] and Leighton the monk, and finally found the ship.
Moon's previous tension had disappeared a lot.
Only one thing, since the Hazel Forest cabin was destroyed, Moon no longer had a place to practice spells with Slin.
And since he would likely be sailing on the sea next, it was unlikely that there would be a place on the ship for Moon to practice spells.
So now that he had come to Hogwarts, Moon planned to redouble his spell training and try to make up for the progress he had missed during this time.
......
Moon woke up on time in the morning, the breathing sound from the tree nest on the head of the bed was very even, and a whirring wind was blowing outside the window.
After entering November, the weather in England became colder and colder.
Although the dormitory was not as cold as outside, Moon still struggled a little when he got up in the morning.
Leaving the warm, magical bed, Moon was the first to get up and wash.
After washing up, he took out "Spell Secrets: The Method of Transforming Spells" and went to the common room.
The temperature here was a little colder than in the dormitory, so Moon abandoned his original seat and came to the sofa by the fireplace.
The firewood in the fireplace should have just been added not long ago, and the flames were burning vigorously.
It all seemed to be prepared for the little wizards after they got up.
Moon comfortably enjoyed the warmth brought by the flames, and then carefully studied spell transformation.
Last week, Moon planned to start with the [Engorgement Charm] to practice transforming spells.
To this end, he made a detailed deconstruction of this spell.
Now that less than half of the spell had been deconstructed, many things Moon didn't understand appeared.
Especially regarding the magical effects of different stresses on spell syllables and the analysis of wand waving movements.
These things were not only complicated, but also required a lot of experiments to verify the assumptions.
This made Moon encounter great resistance in the first step of transforming the spell.
However, Moon did not give up. In the morning, just as he had split up the spell interpretation of the [Engorgement Charm], Harry and Ron slowly walked down from the dormitory.
As the weather turned cold, the little wizards put on thick sweaters and winter robes and uniforms.
Seeing his roommates waiting for him to go to the cafeteria together, Moon could only temporarily put down the splitting record and set off with everyone for breakfast.
After leaving the common room, the temperature dropped sharply.
Under Moon's leadership, the little wizards quickly rushed through the constantly changing stairs to the auditorium.
The tableware in the cafeteria had been enchanted, and they could ensure that the food was always at the right temperature.
"I think you should all eat with your tableware in your hands."
Ron had already picked up a large bowl of Hagrid's rock cakes and picked up a silver spoon to eat it before he even sat down.
Holding the tableware to eat not only allows you to quickly eat warm food, but also warms your hands.
Moon didn't think there was anything wrong with this approach.
Anyway, before the Hazel Forest cabin was burned down, he didn't have a table, so he could only eat with a bowl in his hand.
Seeing Ron eating comfortably, his roommates followed suit and picked up the tableware.
Hermione didn't understand this behavior very well, and frowned at the boys opposite her.
Her family education from childhood did not allow her to hold tableware, so she had always maintained her restraint, but her right hand had also been holding the warm silver spoon.
Moon keenly noticed this scene, but he didn't say anything.
"Do you think it's so cold during the day now, what should we do about Astronomy class on Wednesday night?"
Harry asked with some worry after eating.
"Yeah, I really hope it snows heavily that day, so we can go back to the common room to study."
Ron also wailed.
Moon knew that Ron's idea would definitely not come true.
When studying at the farm, Moon had learned from Neil how to read the weather, although the accuracy rate was not high.
However, the appearance of some specific signs can accurately reflect that the next few days will be sunny.
For example, the stars were very bright last night, and the distance between them was even.
The moon was also very bright, without a halo.
Most importantly, on the way to the auditorium in the morning, Moon saw "fish scale-like" white clouds in the sky.
All these phenomena combined indicate that this week is likely to be sunny.
"It's unlikely to snow, but we can think of a way to make a hand warmer."
Moon gave his suggestion after eating.
"Why won't it snow?" This was the question asked by the rigorous Hermione.
"What is a hand warmer?" This was the question from the curious Harry.
"When can you make it?" This was Ron's eager words.
Moon smiled faintly at the three people, automatically ignoring Hermione and Ron's questions.
In his opinion, these two questions were not easy to explain.
"A hand warmer is like the tableware we are holding now. Although these tableware cannot be taken out, we can make one ourselves."
Moon had seen something similar in the headmaster's office.
At that time, Dumbledore used that white, chubby tableware to warm Hagrid's rock cakes.
"I think your idea is possible, just like a stove. My mother also has something similar, but she uses it to iron clothes."
Ron also expressed his opinion.
"I think it's okay too. If I can make it, my hands won't be cold when I do my homework."
"Hermione, don't you have to relate everything to doing homework!"
Hearing Hermione say this, Ron couldn't help but complain.
......
Although Hermione could always spoil the atmosphere at the right time, her intelligence should not be underestimated.
After eating, the little witch already had a preliminary idea.
"Actually, you can use an Incendio, and then put it in a metal can, so it's safe and can warm your hands."
After Hermione finished speaking, Harry frowned.
"Maybe it won't work. What's the difference between this and putting your hand on a heated iron pot."
At Uncle Vernon's house, Harry often had to make breakfast for his family, so he knew very well what a heated iron pot was like.
"The temperature of the Incendio is not as high as the temperature of a household flame at all, and it can't last long."
Hermione was still arguing, but she did remind Moon.
Now Moon's spell transformation was only in the first step, but he had already encountered difficulties.
The [Engorgement Charm] was not a suitable object for spell transformation. He might be able to complete a simple split, but it would be difficult to transform it.
But if he transformed the [Incendio], it might be feasible.
As a basic fire magic that Hogwarts first-year students must master, the Incendio is relatively easier to transform.
Moreover, by using [Incendio] for transformation, Moon only needs to be responsible for casting the spell, and everyone can do the specific experiments together.
This not only solves the problem of needing a lot of experiments, but also gives Moon more time.
"Hermione, I think we can transform this spell to make its temperature lower and its duration longer, and that's it!"
