Umbrella Corporation

Chapter 111: Meeting

Kevin followed Earl and met the rumored underground king Bowery in a room on the top floor of the asylum.

He was a black man with white frost on his hair and beard, and a cunning, kingly self-confidence on his face. He might have been mixed with white genes, and his skin color was lighter than that of ordinary chocolate.

Wearing a navy blue patterned silk nightgown, he sat on a carved wooden chair with intricate patterns and cut the steak on the dinner plate.

What impressed Kevin most was that this underground king could fit five bills into the gap between his two front teeth.

"Look, look, look, the foreigners who ran into New York in a daze are not too stupid, and you also know how to spend money, hehehe!"

Bowery looked at Kevin at the table with a proud smile.

After Earl reported to him that a company was looking for him to do business, he immediately asked his men to investigate. Through homeless people scattered throughout the city, he quickly obtained information about the Umbrella Company.

They had just appeared in New York in the past few days. They may be between fifty and sixty people. They took out a bank mortgage technology loan to start a business and purchased a piece of land on the edge of the Bronx near a residential area.

Even during the day, Bowery found out about the salesman of the New York Construction Group who was thrown onto the street by people from the Umbrella Company.

"Earl, please bring this gentleman a chair. →"

A very interesting thing made Bowery very happy, because it was the first time that he was approached for help by a company that planned to do serious business. This meant that the underground kingdom he ran was finally recognized by the outside world.

No matter how powerful the power is, if no one applauds it, it will always be dull and boring.

Kevin sat on the chair that was brought in. He was not good at negotiating and dealing with business matters, so he was going to get straight to the point, "Are you the king of the underground, Mr. Bowery?"

"Ah ha ha ha!" Before he could say a few words, Bowery burst out laughing, "King of the Underground, ha ha ha ha!"

He took out a cup from the drawer, poured a third of the drink in and put it in front of Kevin, which meant that he was in a good mood.

"Thank you." Although he couldn't figure out why Bowery was laughing, this did not prevent Kevin from taking the opportunity to express his needs. He took out a Nokia from his pocket, "There is information our boss needs here. Mr. Bowery can price it appropriately based on the importance of the information.

Bowery really likes Kevin, especially his attitude of not making people uncomfortable, which makes him feel comfortable after working in an environment full of discrimination for a long time.

Earl, who was standing behind Bowery, stepped forward to take the phone, and after checking that it was indeed just a cell phone, he handed it to Bowery.

"This is a necessary caution." Bowery, who was in a good mood, smiled and explained to Kevin, then put the cut steak into his mouth while looking at the multiple questions recorded on the note.

After reading the previous questions, Bowery's smile disappeared, his brows slowly furrowed, and he realized that things seemed to be different from what he thought.

After reading all the questions, he finally determined that the leader of the Umbrella Company seemed to know nothing, not even any rules behind the world.

In other words, they actually happened to find out about the underground market, and then followed the clues to find him, wanting to know the news behind the world.

Bowery's enthusiasm waned by half in an instant, but he did not refuse the deal. After all, money is also a very important thing.

After thinking about it carefully, he decided to ask a few more questions before deciding whether the price of the information should be higher than 100 million points or lower.

Snap!

The phone made a clear banging sound on the wooden table. Bowery devoured the steak. After finishing the food, he leaned on his long-backed throne and asked Kevin frivolously: "Okay, I'm selling it to you." Before breaking the news, I must first know whether your boss is ready to touch the backside of the world. The rules of the world are full of dirty struggles and disgusting attacks.

If you want to snatch food from their mouths, you'd better be prepared to face death! Your boss, are you ready? "

"Um...can I contact the boss first?"

Kevin thought about the situation at home and wanted to say that it was no problem, but the manual warned that he must be cautious after arriving in the new world.

Because no one knows what kind of magical power the other world will have, it is better to contact the superior.

"Please." Bowery pushed the phone on the table towards Kevin, indicating that he could make a call.

The call was immediately connected. Kevin explained the situation, nodded repeatedly, kept the call on, and said to Bowery: "My boss wants to meet you in person."

Bowery spread his hands nonchalantly and said, "I'm here, waiting for his arrival."

This is his territory, and safety can be guaranteed. If you want to come, you can come anytime.

After Kevin relayed Bowery's words to Duncan, he hung up the phone and said, "The boss will be here soon."

This is very fast, really very fast.

Within two minutes of hanging up the phone, the commercial vehicle drove into the open space outside the shelter.

Duncan was very concerned about finding out information about one of the forces in the underground world, especially the fact that someone was still alive and kicking after being shot.

It made him suspect that there might be fantasy creatures such as vampires and werewolves in this world. Even if not, he would have to understand the underground rules of this world in order to integrate into this world.

King of the Underground, Bowery.

The manager of the New York homeless is well-informed. It is obvious that he is a local force. It will not be bad to contact this force. Whether it is for information or future cooperation, local snakes can always do things better.

Bowery did not expect Duncan to come so quickly, but after a little daze, he asked his men to bring him up.

Downstairs, Duncan was being searched. The silent Earl searched Duncan and found many strange props.

Pistols, micro spider silk bombs, spider controllers, several tubes of disturbing green medicine, glass-like mobile phones, watches that launch electric shock devices...

After searching so many high-tech products, Earl looked at Duncan with a little strangeness in his eyes.

"Help me keep an eye on it. These things are not easy to produce."

After instructing Earl who was in a daze, Duncan and Alice, who had finished the search, went up to the second floor together.

Kevin had stood up from the chair. After seeing Duncan coming up, his back straightened involuntarily, and he took a few steps back and stood behind Duncan.

Kevin's temperament changed subtly after meeting Duncan, just like a wolf taking off its sheepskin, from a harmless guy to a predator with a glimpse of greed, and exuding a confusing military aura.

I was wrong...

Bowery re-examined the three people in front of him, and he felt an aura from them that was very different from that of ordinary people.

Unlike the entrepreneurial businessman who knew nothing and was full of enthusiasm in his imagination, Duncan, who was sitting in his seat, exuded calmness and composure, like a leader who had been in power for a long time.
