Clang, clang, clang,

Thick, sharp claws clashed against each other, like steel claws striking, sparks flying with the metallic sounds of impact. Two massive dragons of the same scale color abruptly halted, facing each other.

The female red dragon, Kleinaiya, panted heavily, the broken scales on her right shoulder as neatly cut as if a skilled human warrior had used a sharp, enchanted blade.

“Huff, I’m done fighting,” the female red dragon said angrily, spitting two mouthfuls of flames at the opposite red dragon's magical shield, but the flames were blocked. The intense heat didn't even touch the other dragon's scales.

“I keep improving, but the gap between us just keeps widening, Caron,”

Kleinaiya smacked her slender tail in frustration, causing a resounding boom as it hit the hard, flat ground. “How can I keep up with you? I’m so tired of being left behind and feeling helpless.”

Every dragon received individual guidance from Caron, who also taught the dragons in the group some meditation techniques for controlling dragon blood and strengthening their mental fortitude.

Caron was always happy to see his companions grow together. This didn't put pressure on Caron; rather, it was one of his motivations.

Kleinaiya, the female red dragon, didn't particularly like exploring magic, preferring to destroy her enemies with her body. Therefore, she often sparred with Caron in close combat during extra training sessions.

However, Caron's secondary brain cluster was originally created for this purpose, collecting many combat techniques and information. Caron's fighting skills had gradually become a system of their own, allowing him to easily defeat Kleinaiya without relying on greater strength.

Therefore, Kleinaiya was always devastated after each combat practice. However, the biggest advantage of this stubborn female dragon was her resilience, never giving up despite repeated defeats.

“Ho, Kleinaiya, you've done well enough. Today, you even broke through three layers of my magical shield. Just a little bit more, and you would have touched my scales,”

Caron smiled, revealing his long fangs. He opened his claws upward, curled the other three fingers together, and touched his index finger and thumb together to make a gesture.

Kleinaiya looked speechlessly at the magical light surging on Caron's dazzling scales, regenerating layers of magical barriers.

Layers of magical barriers surrounded him, like heavy energy armor tightly attached to his scales. These energy armors not only protected his body well but also isolated the emission of his aura.

Kleinaiya couldn't even smell the rich sulfur and magma scent unique to red dragons on Caron. “Are you mocking me or praising me?” the little female dragon asked, shaking her head in dissatisfaction, her dragon horns gently nudging away Caron's claws covering her head.

This action always made Kleinaiya feel like she was a little sister being cared for and comforted by Caron, and she didn't like that feeling.

But Kleinaiya's gentle movements failed to reject Caron's claws. Caron stroked Kleinaiya's head as if he were petting a puppy.

“Growth takes time and effort, Kleinaiya. The reason I grow faster than you is that I spend more time and effort, although my outstanding talent accounts for most of the proportion,”

The relationship between Caron and Kleinaiya had been quite strange since they were young.

Caron felt that he was born first and should be the older brother, so after controlling his dragon blood, he always had more tolerance for Kleinaiya's behavior, perhaps also out of some compensatory psychology for beating this female dragon too hard when they were young.

Kleinaiya, the female red dragon, also turned her goal of dominating the dragon group into surpassing Caron, an extremely difficult, almost impossible goal. She believed that she should be the older sister, so she always had some rebellious thoughts.

But when Caron made a real decision, this female dragon, like the white dragon Camid, never considered right or wrong, firmly supporting Caron's decision.

“You're weird, Caron. You've been like this since you were a kid. Even the most ambitious dragons would never work as hard as you do. In our dragons' eyes, you're almost cruelly torturing yourself,”

The female red dragon Kleinaiya narrowed her eyes, slightly pushing away Caron's heavy claws. She said, “Liking to study magical knowledge is already a morbid manifestation in the eyes of most dragons. There's an unpleasant title—Magic-Addicted Dragon—specifically prepared for strange dragons like you.”

“And you're far more than that. If you hadn't avoided covering your scales with spells, I would have suspected that you had contracted this disease and spread it to the dragon group.”

Kleinaiya raised her head, looking up at Caron's calm eyes. “I sometimes even suspect that your body doesn't contain the soul of a dragon!”

“So?” Caron's eyes didn't show even a ripple, as calm as the deepest lake on the prairie, unmoved by the wind.

“So the dragons in the group are waiting for your decision. Haven't you noticed? The upcoming hibernation period is causing every dragon to become restless. That's the nature of every life, and it's an unavoidable instinctive restlessness for dragons. After they get through the hibernation period, they need to start choosing their mates.”

Kleinaiya angrily pressed her dragon horns against Caron's sturdy chest, exerting all her strength to push the massive Caron a small step.

She shouted, “Before you, the most esteemed monarch, have established a goal, the dragons in the group dare not and cannot choose their partners. Anta Gina has complained to me many times that no matter how much she pleases you, you haven't given a definite response.”

“But the green dragon you don't like is a beautiful gem in the eyes of other dragons. You should express your intentions and not let the dragons guess your meaning and be timid!”

“Look at the black dragon Rosani, twisted by his restlessness. He has begun to be obsessed with those little mares, and he is not very interested in dragons!”

To be honest, only Kleinaiya dared to discuss this topic with Caron face to face and warn Caron. Any male dragon who dared to raise this question to Caron would be regarded as a challenge to the dragon group leader's right to choose a mate.

Even though the relationship between the dragon groups has gradually evolved to be more like a big family, they are still dragons.

Caron realized that he had put too much effort into other aspects, so much so that he had ignored these obvious problems.

But the blame for the black dragon Rosani can't be put on his own head. Caron said loudly, “Rosani that's his own hobby, but he can't blame me. As for Anta Gina, I didn't give a response is the most obvious response.”

Caron gave his answer, “I regard Anta Gina as a slightly foolish sister who likes to be clever, and I don’t have any subjective inclination to choose her.”

Kleinaiya accepted this answer, although in the hearts of these five-colored dragons, this concept of sister and brother is particularly weak.

“Then what about me, Caron? I am stronger than the green dragon, and my bloodline is better than the green dragon's,” Kleinaiya gently pressed her dragon horns against Caron's chest, her head starting to rise, her slender neck wrapping around Caron's thick neck.
