Undying Warlord

518 Primary Ancient Battlefield

"You really overdid yourself!" Dilan declared as he swung a black longsword back and forth. He made a few swings, activated a bunch of abilities to see the synergy between the weapon and abilities, and tried to get a better feel of the new weapon he had just gotten his hands on.

"I know that I created a masterpiece, you don't have to tell me that," Old Jeff replied arrogantly, but he was unable to hide his bright smile under the long beard he had grown.

"Unfortunately, the Meteorite Blade, couldn't be engraved with any runes of the system, otherwise, it would have turned into a Tier-4 weapon that can only be wielded by Ascenders with an excellent Tier-4 physique. The system would probably even restrict your usage of the Meteorite Blade. Thus, I made you this one, Metir, without using the system's help," Old Jeff pointed at the longsword Dilan was holding and he gave it a thumbs up.

"Seeing the way you can effortlessly wield it, my decision not to use the system's help in any way was correct," He added.

'So that's why there is no information about the Meteorite Blade, and just some basic stuff about its appearance and power,' Dilan finally figured and his attention switched back to Old Jeff.

"By chance, did you forge a dagger with the same predicament? I need to replace one of my daggers, and the Meteorite Blade has great mana conductivity. It enhances the power of my Elemental Spirits as well. It's basically perfect for me!" Dilan praised, not hiding his great astonishment about the Meteorite's great material.

It was really worth it to nearly get killed by it!

"Urgh…I can forge you a dagger, but it will take a day or two, and I need you to give me the exact specification and requirements of what you want!" Old Jeff replied, which caused Dilan to retrieve the Cursed Dagger, Xealtron, and throw it toward the old man.

"Just replicate this dagger with the meteorite's material, thanks!" Dilan thanked Old Jeff before he set off with the Meteorite Blade and a new scabbard in his possession.

Dilan didn't want to waste any time in the Sanctum, which is why he made his way toward the closest Temple. He might have had lots of stress and died over and over again in the last two days, but Dilan was not tired.

On the contrary, his entire body was overflowing with energy, and preventing him from thinking about going to sleep and enjoying some well-deserved rest, to begin with.

Dilan was fine skipping sleeping and there was only one thing he had to do before he would find time to test his new weapon. Dilan had to empty his storage rings and the easiest way to do so was to sacrifice the monster corpses to one of the Basic Temples.

He knew that he was nourishing a God's Divinity Fragment by sacrificing monster corpses to it, but that was fine as long as he made huge gains from the sacrifices as well.

As he had sacrificed millions of monster corpses ranging from Tierless up to the third Tier, Dilan's gains were unfathomable. However, instead of using the Dungeon Points for himself, he transferred everything to his sisters.

They had activated the system by absorbing a weak Tierless Essence Crystal, and Dilan was ready to shower them with abundant resources to make sure that they could reach a high Tier in no time.

Not only would their strength increase by leaps and bounds but it would also be possible for his sisters to live much longer the more Essence they absorbed! The thought of living together with his sisters, for a very long time, was both happy and encouraging and it was more than enough for Dilan to give his utmost!

"Bianne, use this corpse to make some preservable food for the Ascenders at the third Tier. They can have it whenever they're tired. It should be quite helpful!" Dilan ended up telling Bianne when he changed his decision about sacrificing the corpse of the Behemoth.

He was not sure how Bianne would butcher the Behemoth's body but that was a problem she and everyone else would have to think about, not him. Dilan handed Bianne the storage ring that contained the humongous corpse of the Behemoth before he left once again.

There was no time for him to waste because he had a lot to do, and way too little time to make sure that everything would be fine before the fourth awakening began.

And that was also why he stepped into the closest Gate to access the Battlefields of the Ancient Gods to test the Meteorite Blade's true power!

Because Dilan knew that more points would be granted upon defeating stronger opponents, Dilan didn't hesitate to choose the Ancient Battlefield.

He knew that Tier-5 Demi Gods might appear all of a sudden and make him sweat a bit but that would be advantageous as well. He wanted to figure out how strong he was right now. It was unlikely for his strength to reach the threshold to defeat a Demi God as of now, but the gap was obviously something he would have to figure out by entering the battlefield.

'Only beings connected to the system can enter the Battlefields of the Ancient Gods, either way, so there shouldn't be too many overly powerful beings on the Ancient Battlefield. They have other things to do than playing survival of the fittest either way…probably,' Dilan thought, finalizing his choice to enter the Ancient Battlefield.

[The host will be teleported to the Primary Ancient Battlefield. 10,624,914 Warriors are fighting for their lives on the battlefield. Join them and earn honor for your race, and yourself! One Life remaining!]

'More than ten million people joined the Ancient Battlefield? It looks like I will have far more fun than I expected!' Dilan thought, stepping through the Gate to initiate the teleportation.

His mind was buzzing as time and space around him distorted. Seconds turned into minutes and it was only after a long time that he was finally thrown out of the Gate's passage.

The air around him was filled with screams, of determination, utter pain, and the smell of blood and sweat hit his nostrils.

Circulating mana through his eyes, he replicated the effect Rory's Draconic Power had on his eyes. It granted him the temporary ability to see the mana all around him.

This made it easier for him to see where fights occurred and which areas he should avoid.

His eyes turned crimson and he summoned the Hyel Destructo Armor set. The meteorite blade was also unsheathed and ready to slice through his opponents.

"A big battle is going on back there," Dilan could tell easily from the tremendous amount of Mana that burst in all directions. He made his way in that direction with fast strides, using bits of his mana to activate [Walk of Thunder].

Less than a minute passed when he reached the area where the big battle had commenced.

Yet, what he didn't expect to see right in front of him was an overly familiar face.

"What the hell…Rex, what are you doing here?"
