Unlimited Doomsday Escape

Chapter 120 The Old Man

Chapter 120 Old Man

The door of the ancestral hall was closed tightly. Lan Xiaye tried to hit hard but was unable to shake the fragile-looking wooden door.

"Can't you open it?" Qiangwei signaled Lan Xiaye to get out of the way. She took out a rocket launcher and pointed it at the wooden door.

Lan Xiaye and Liang Bowen hid far away. They heard a boom and the whole house shook. However, the wooden door remained motionless. Even the recoil of the rocket launcher made Qiangwei's arm numb and tremble slightly.

Physical attacks were useless and they were immune to spell damage. The three of them gave up on violent door-breaking methods and began to look for other methods, knocking here and there in an attempt to find some secret door.

Lan Xiaye walked to the top of the ancestral hall, lifted up the incense burner containing ashes, and touched it, and found that it was all solid.

After searching around, the three of them carefully surveyed every inch of the ground.

Next, only the huge portrait was left unchecked.

Qiangwei directed the silk thread to wrap around the portrait and tried to pull it off. Suddenly an arm stretched out from the portrait, grabbed Qiangwei and threw her to the edge of the room.

Here comes this arm!

Everyone was refreshed. Lan Xiaye developed a new move. Narrowing the range of time pause to one person would greatly save her spiritual power and extend the pause time.

She now used her superpower to trap her arm. Qiangwei got up from the ground with a stern look in her eyes. She directly activated her subconscious.

A huge figure emerged from behind her. Strangely, unlike the subconscious minds of other missionaries, the huge figure in Qiangwei's subconscious had no specific facial features.

The huge portrait has a transparent texture, and the facial features are blurred.

Qiangwei subconsciously raised her hands, and countless transparent silk threads spread towards her arms.

Those silk threads tied up the arms easily, and then a shrunken toy puppet appeared in Qiangwei's subconscious hand, suspended by thin silk threads, and the ends of the silk threads were connected to the subconscious fingers.

The huge fingers danced, causing the toy puppet to squirm and squirm.

The owner of the arm was dragged out of the portrait in a flash, and he turned out to be an acquaintance!

"Damn, why are you hung up again!" The old man's limbs were tied with silk threads, and his hands were suspended parallel to each other by silk threads.

When Qiangwei's subconscious existed, her beautiful face was indifferent, looking at the old man expressionlessly.

Subconsciously, he gently removed the legs of the puppet in his hand. The old man wailed, and the legs disappeared out of thin air.

Lan Xiaye's legs went cold, and her assessment of Qiangwei's strength rose again and again.

This hand was really weird and powerful, and the old man wailed, "Don't take it apart, old man, I won't run away."

Qiangwei's eyes paused, and her subconscious disappeared.

The old man was still hung up by those silk threads and couldn't move. Lan Xiaye walked forward with a smile, "Can you talk to us properly now?"

"Tell me what you ask and I will answer."

Lan Xiaye raised her eyebrows, "Stop lying?"

"No more, no more."

After Qiangwei summoned her subconscious, she stood aside with a pale face and watched Lan Xiaye interrogate the old man. In order to prevent the old man from escaping, she still maintained the control of the silk thread's supernatural power.

Lan Xiaye, who was interrogating the old man with one heart and observing the rose with the other heart, frowned quietly, and then showed a bright smile.

"Then let's start with those monsters."

The old man nodded repeatedly, "Those monsters will only appear at sunrise. One of their eyes will look at you. Once you look at each other, your soul will be sucked away by them."

After speaking, the old man looked at Lan Xiaye eagerly, fearing that she would be dissatisfied.

In fact, Lan Xiaye was indeed dissatisfied. She said without a smile: "Is that all? Are you sure there is nothing else to add?"

The old man's frown deepened, showing a miserable expression. He lowered his white hair and deliberately showed his old appearance, "Is there anything else you want to add?"

The missionaries present would not be deceived by his feigned weakness and stared at him with smiles.

The old man's eyelids twitched, so he had to tell the truth, "The flesh of people killed by them will suddenly become flat."

He said not to peek at the faces of the missionaries, and found that none of them showed any surprised expressions, so he had an idea.

"This is because the rocks from the monsters were transferred to them and crushed their bodies."

After saying this, the old man lost his voice again. He was like squeezing out toothpaste. He had to be urged or forced by others to squeeze out new clues bit by bit.

Qiangwei became impatient, raised a thread and yanked it on him, "If you don't want to die, just tell him quickly."

The old man trembled and showed a flattering smile, "The rocks on these monsters are not armor to protect them. In fact, these thick rocks restrict their movements, making them unable to hunt easily, and their strength is greatly reduced."

"Whenever they kill a person, the rocks on their body will be transferred to the killed person in the form of soul, suppressing the corpse, which is why the corpse is flat."

Lan Xiaye asked: "What would happen if all the rocks on their bodies disappeared?"

The old man cracked his lips and laughed maliciously, "Then you just wait to die!"

Lan Xiaye's expression remained unchanged and he said calmly: "Okay, next question."

The old man stopped smiling and looked at Lan Xiaye expressionlessly. His wrinkled face slumped, and his whole person looked gloomy and strange, but this did not scare Lan Xiaye.

"What is your identity? Now that we know the corpses of farmers and monsters, what about you? What are you? You have always been malicious to us but you keep giving us little reminders."

The old man chuckled: "I don't have any identity, I'm just an ordinary old man."

"He is not, he is a collection of souls and resentments here." Liang Bowen reminded loudly.

The old man's face froze, "You know everything and why are you asking me what I do?"

The old man couldn't tell the truth for a long time, so he might as well ask Liang Bowen. Lan Xiaye turned around and asked: "A collection of souls and resentments?"

Liang Bowen immediately explained: "This place is a place of extinction. There is no living person except our missionaries."

Liang Bowen's words were like thunder, tearing apart the appearance of this place.

There is no living person here, so what is following the old man?

There was a faint chill behind Lan Xiaye's back, and suddenly she saw the old man's eyes were cold.

"Stop talking!" The old man waved his arms vigorously. Rose's own strength could not completely restrain the old man. Now the old man struggled hard and easily let him break free of the thread.

A stream of tears slowly fell down the old man's old face. On the opposite side of the soft tears was his extremely cold eyes.

"I saved you, not to let you study me. Cherish the present moment, at least you are still alive." The old man said something vaguely, and then disappeared.
